alright, normal field spell it is:

Shadow Gate

Shadow Gate
Picture (this is important, as it is a field spell): A large, ominous door, shrouded in darkness, the surrounding area is a color comparable to the background of the End in Minecraft)
Field spell
Effect: When this card is activated, you can discard 1 card from your hand to the graveyard to add 1 "Seal of the Arbitrator" card from your deck to your hand. Once per turn, the turn player can special summon 1 "Arbitrator" monster from their hand, its effect is negated. If you do not control an arbitrator monster, destroy this card.

level 5/FIRE/Spellcaster
Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned/Set. When a monster declares an attack, you can special summon this card from your hand. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card attacks or is targeted for an attack, it gains 500 attack.

Unform Arbitrator
Level 5/DARK/Spellcaster
Effect: This card cannot be normal summoned/Set. When your opponent normal or special summons a monster, you can discard this card to special summon 1 "Unform Token" [Level 5/Dark/Spellcaster/ ? ATK/ ? DEF]
to your side of the field in face-up attack position. The attack and defense of "Unform Token" is the attack and defense of the opponents summoned monster. When the token summoned by this effect is destroyed, you can special summon this card from your graveyard.

Guardian Arbitrator
Level 5/Dark/Spellcaster
Effect: This card can be normal summoned without tributing. While this card is face-up on the field, you cannot normal summon/set monsters.

Putrid Arbitrator
Level 5/ Dark/ Spellcaster
Effect:This card cannot be normal summoned/Set. When a card on the field is destroyed, you can special summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, if a card on the field would be destroyed, you can target 1 other card on the same side of the field, it is destroyed instead.

Arbitrator of stone
Level 5/ Earth/ Spellcaster
Effect:This card cannot be normal summoned/Set. If a card is set on the field, you can special summon this card from your hand. This card gains 500 defense each time a card is set. If this card is destroyed, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls, flip it into face-down defense position.

Florida man hit the ground with a loud thud, creating a crater around the size of your everyday rich-people mall. He stood up, and dusted off his wrestler's mask, and opened up a tin that was in his hand for no reason. He began to sniff the mixture of dog and human ashes. Florida man pulled a rope out of his ass, and tied the unconscious James to his bag of animals, while Squirrelly was still gnawing on his limbs. He began to walk in no particular direction, dragging James behind him, looking for a quadriplegic to assault with a fish.

Well, I just read up on the shadow realm. I plan to reveal the whole plot pretty soon, so the duels will begin to happen in the shadow realm in a little bit, probably around/after Taerund's duel, which I plan to be an Action Duel.

At this point in time, the closest thing to the shadow realm will be the "Shadow Gate" field spell (The effect-free field spell that I have designated for Action duels)

Later on, around the duel with the Arbitrator, we will have a duelist kingdom style Shadow realm duel (Just the two duelists in an area of darkness)

I am going to be gone on a camping trip for all of next week, so I guess some stuff will have to be postponed. I will have to quickly finish Taerund's new deck, as well as get that duel done first though, as I still want you guys to be able to do stuff.

The Arbitrator had left, vanishing without a moments notice. He was not needed at this moment in time, but he would be later. As he silently walked back to the surveillance room, he placed a deck on a table in the hallway. Once in the room, he shut the door and sat back down in his chair, once again observing the screens.

Taerund walked down the empty hallway, scanning every out of place object, especially the tables. There was no reason for the tables to be in the hallway, and that was precisely why they were there. After searching for a while, he finally found it, a deck of Duel Monsters cards, left there for no reason. He picked up the deck, and placed it in his pocket. Seems the Arbitrator was finally ready to trust him, or maybe he was just taking pity on the fool who was about to duel.

For no reason what-so-ever a man began to fall out of the sky. This was none other than FLORIDA MAN! holding his trusty Klingon Batleth and bag of random animals. Of course, you couldn't have Florida man without Squirrelly, who happened to be mauling James, his butler. To remind you, they were FALLING FROM THE SKY. Florida man looked below them, where he could see someone.

I am interested. Possible backstory: Humans used to exist in the world, but over time, due to wars and the harsh environment, they died off. Now for some reason (most likely a higher power trying to bring humans back into the world) 5 or so humans have been taken from another (our) world, and placed into this harsh fantasy environment.

this allows for half-breed races to exist, such as Draconians (half human/Half dragon)
