Color me convinced. I will accept the character as soon as I finish my homework. I hate school.

School for Mages and Knights (pair RP) Drama! Fighting! and other stuff!

I left the idea of a ritual pretty plain, but that was really all I wanted to do, cuz I don't think that the ritual has any real importance other than being what makes you a pair. I based it on my own personal description of magic rituals, but not everyone thinks the same way, obviously. The ritual was a pair of circles of magical symbols drawn on the ground, interlocked in the center. These glowed blue, obviously. Each person would stand in the circle, and then after some magic stuff, a sort of chant/spell/incantation would come to the pair, and they would say this, and then BOOM your done, or die horribly. Luckily, those deaths are delayed.

I just don't know how a pair where one of them can't be heard or touched would work, even if you disregard the ritual, it seems sad...and..well boring. I mean, one person gets "Hey, my partner can only be seen through shiny surfaces, though I don't know what she's saying." and the other gets "Hey, You can't hear me... I am bored now." The mage gets no ability to do anything within the real world, because they are simply an observer. Obviously, a school for MAGES and Knights would not allow a pair that can't function fully to be in the school. If you have something else to say to try and convince me to accept the character when I am not half asleep, go ahead and throw it at me.

I can't accept the whole mirror thing. I don't see how it would work, having one character not even be physically there for a ritual that you kinda need to be there for. It is physically impossible. Miroir...Mirror....MIRROR MIRROR ON THE SANDWICH, WHO IS THE FAIREST OF THEM A-FUCK YOU.

I am dropping background, so I guess I need to make a new character. great.

Alright, I am not a fan of argument in the OOC, which I consider fighting, so I would like you all to stop.
I am going for a medieval fantasy setting, yes, but that does not mean we have to be 100% accurate. I was just trying to prevent things that seemed way too out of place from being in the RP, and obviously, my stupidity got out of hand. Trial and error, people, I am not the worlds greatest GM. It is good to throw suggestions at me, it is not good to argue over what should and shouldn't be done with the RP.

It looks like Background is having issues IRL, and hasn't been posting for a while, so if BR isn't back by tomorrow, I will probably have to have a replacement.

Well, I realize my obvious stupidity, and so, if we take in the influence of magic, and disregard most inventions in our world, there you go. A small glass box that can create flames? probably would exist in this world. Long story short, if your unsure about something existing, just run it by me.

Rayne woke up with a simple yawn. His room was filled with silence as he got ready. He took a shower, and changed into something simple, a black T-shirt and some dark blue jeans. Rayne checked that he had all the necessities for starting off the school year right. Oh, that's right, he was a senior this year, wasn't he. Oh, and his birthday was coming up soon. Great. Unnecessary celebration. Rayne decided to stop thinking for a moment, and grab his bag, as well as put on his watch, before going downstairs, to the kitchen.

Jerk, I wouldn't mind being your partner, as I only have 1 character right now (and because it's my RP and my rules, I could have as many characters as I want. MWAHAHAHAHA)

.....I was just reading through the IC posts, and then Zero Hex happened. Fuck you and that weird-ass horse.

Also, there are no fire escapes in this world. Also, you can't open the windows. So, if you wanted to avoid being burned alive, the worst case scenario would be: Your on the top floor, and floor is burning, you have to break the window and jump to your death, or be burned alive.

Here is stuff that was invented in the middle ages
Use that link to find things you are free to use, if the object in question was invented before the middle ages, you are fine, but if it was invented after 1500, it is a no go.
