Hello! Looking to getting into roleplaying more

Heya! So as the title says, I'm just here for some casual roleplaying, I'm hoping to get better at it. I'm relatively new to roleplaying via forums, my motivation can die down at times so I may be slow to respond (hey, honesty is the best policy), I'm 18 and I'd prefer talking to someone 18 or above! I'm okay with gore and traumatised characters but please be sensitive with some topics; i.e don't use sexual trauma in place of actually good character lore/details, and please don't try using that weird cliché of "character a is about to get sexually assaulted by weird guy at a bar and character b comes in like the chad they are to save them."

Some genres I like:
-Horror
-Apocalypse (zombie, 'the last of us' type, etc)
-Romance
-Old western
-Historical inspired (I'll do my best but please note that I'll probably not be able to be completely accurate, so it's best if we just go off inspired by certain time periods, etc)
-Sci Fi
-Medieval/Fantasy (I love this one)

I'm not particularly fond of modern aus, etc. I find they get boring fast and I'm not too certain about what kind of cool plots you could come up with in a modern au, to be honest.

I'm okay with MxM, FxF, FxA/MxA, FxM or any sort of pairings (this can include x monster/non-human specie)! I do not want to roleplay as family members however whether or not it's to fulfil a strange incest fantasy or is purely platonic!

I'm down to discuss any type of plot and I prefer to get all/most of the details worked through before actually starting, I'd prefer to roleplay over PMs only. When it comes to faceclaims; please no real people, I find it a bit strange. I'd prefer to get to know eachother's characters a bit better before we start roleplaying too if it's possible, I understand that in the moment it's probably difficult to explain every single little detail about them but some basic/important information is the bare minimum please!

I don't mind any type of paragraph/writing lengths as I understand that well, for one, there really just might not be so much to say in the moment and inspiration can get low at times, I just ask that you don't be dry about it. For myself, my lengths can vary but in the very least I'll aim for a decently sized paragraph.

I am okay with NSFW roleplays but I prefer it not being the main motivation.
