The one thing that sucks about playing the Huns though, is that the armies of every enemy you make will chase you across the map. I once made the mistake of declaring war on the Sassanids, and they kept five stacks on my tail all the way across Russia.

It's so satisfying to get to literally burn Rome to the ground.
This'd be in the early days of the Suffrage movement, and the Temperance movement.
The original Rome is still probably the most well balanced of all of them, but I'd imagine it's showing its age now. Attila is pretty sweet to; so far it's probably my favorite, considering i'm gonna be a little biased to the new and the shiny, and Attila is pretty well designed too.
