Giovanni assumed the squad 13 captain would take the recommendation to the head captain eventually so he took his leave from the Captains office and the barracks as a whole. He wasnt to sure about how long it would take or if it would even work since the recommendation is supposed to come from his own captain but ultimately it was up to the head captain to decide. And the head captain knew a majority of his progress and accomplishments because Gio wrote reports. With that in mind he focused on the task at hand. He needed to get everything together rather soon. Now that he had his taste of fresh air he could get back to work... When he got back to squad Five he noticed Gustavo in his normal spot on the roof. He has sensed him on the way out but didnt have a chance to stop and speak, this time he shunpo'd up to him "Gustavo, hows it.." he noticed that he seemed upset "whats eating you?" He asked

In his office Daishin looked over the latest reports. One in particular caught his eyeand brought a slight smile to his face. Looking at the recommendation letter out of the corner of his eye Daishin summoned a hell butterfly. "There are things that are meant to be loved up to. Right now he is probably mentally preparing himself to reassure the role of a leader. But leadership does not always await those who are not ready." After a moment the hell butterfly flew off.

Arriving at Squad 5 the hell butterfly quickly found Giovanni. Landing on his shoulder it started to relay it's message. [i]Before I send my recommendation I'd like you to join me on a mission. Assemble two other squad members and meet me at the senkaimon in 24 hours."

First of all alot of this is based arpund whether daishin has the information he needs to.make the decision. The seireitei does have Ann information network and it would include who is the highest ranking officer in a squad and their records. As a captain Daishin would have been kept up to date on the activities of those in the position. Just because they've never interacted didn't mean they can't know about each other on a professional level. Now it was my mistake to give the recommendation without making sure he's ready and I'll correct that shortly. Now knock it off. No one's trying to offend anyone and there's no reason to get offended.

But he has been taking on most of the responsibility in the squad being the highest rank present has he not?

Argument invalid when the person in question is not bad. Plus i didn't know about what was happening in the ic. Why i didn't ask? Well before when i asked it was usually nothing. Since i did not know this i didn't want to make a drawn out process just for a recommendation. Ultimately it's gonna be the head captain's decision(cuz there's no 5 captain) and recommendations aren't going to guarantee getting the position. At least i hope that's not how you guys are doing things.

Daishin doesn't care about his reputation as a captain. Nuff said.

Now that i know about the recent betrayals I'll give some test.

Also why would Daishin have him doanything? It's not what gio did for al another squad that makes him with of being the lieutenant of his squad.

Well for one, as a captain Daishin would know the background of shinigami in high positions such as the kick corps commander so there's no real need for some kind of test. Two, Daishin is the kind off person to give chances based on his impressions of people. I'm just playing this as Daishin would go about it. And three i was too lazy to come up with some kind of test out mission or even have them spar. Besides Gio has obviously already shown that he's responsible enough being the kido corps commander and running squad 5 with his 3rd seat rank. It's a recommendation. Whoever the recommendation goes to should be the one to test him.

RIGHT, I've got something to say about Hasayo's and Nicias's recent posts.Gio is not a Lieutenant.Hasayo you can't give out Lieutenant positions for Shinigami's not in your squad XDD If he wants to become Lieutenant, he'd have to join Squad 13, work for it first, then Hasayo can give him the position in his own squad. However, you can give him a recommendation, but he hasn't even worked for the Squad 13 Captain sooooo why would the Captain give him one? XDD Hasayo, hun, you're a Bleach Captain remember, you know Bleach more than the vast majority of us XD Heck, you called me and Zane out on the 'Communicating with our Zanpakuto's outside of Jinzen' thing XD So Com'on. I know it's been a while but you are still a Captain, you're allowed to say no xP

"If you dont mind me being straight forward, Would you please consider recommending me for the position of lieutenant of my squad? " He asked simply. There was no reason to beg the man so he didn't throw his credentials into the conversation. While he had accomplished a fair amount in his year a shinigami he was far from famous. He didnt want to be famous so that was fine by him. But right about now a little renown might have done him a little good. He was only asking the captain to consider recommending him, not to straight up recommend him. Chances were he would some how have to earn the recommendation, and naturally that was fine by him. Nothing was ever given in this society, everything was earned and he had come to appreciate that concept more and more each day.

"I don't see why not. I'll write it up tonight and send it to your captain in the morning." Daishin answer with a smile. He already knew the response he would get to this from Giovanni. "Before you say anything I'd like to say this. There are things we must earn and things we must live up to. Take this recommendation and the seat of lieutenant and live up to them both."

Giovanni followed the guide. He was relieved to have actually gotten a response. He moved to knock on the door but he was invited in before he got the door. When he opened the door to approach the Captain the first thing he noticed was Fang. out of everything he was expecting to find in this place a Lion was not even on the list. It almost made him forget why he had come but he remembered well enough. "Captain Xang." he Bowed "my name is Giovanni Cain, Current 3rd seat of Squad five and acting commander of the Kido corps. Thank you for seeing me" he introduced himself politely with respect.

Daishin frowned having hoped that the word would circulate that he didn't want to be bowed to our treated like a higher up. He sighed resigning that it just can't be helped with the title of captain. "Well, it was either see you out see another load of paperwork." Daishin chuckled softly. "Now what can I do for you Giovanni?" Standing from his desk he walked around it and did before the kido corp commander. All the while Fang turned and watched from his spot next to the desk.

Given that there was no response at the squad 12 barrack Giovanni made his way over to the squad 13 barracks. While he had been to quite a few barracks for a lot of different reasons 13 was one of the few he had never visited. There was no particular reason other than he never had any dealings with them. He had a friend that was in the squad last he heard but he hadnt heard from him in a long while. The place seemed so far out of the way by the time Gio finally got there, mostly because he had never been there before. it was a surprisingly serene place, he noted before asking to speak with the captain.

"Of course, his office is this way." A squad member answered leading him to Daishin's office. Inside Daishin had just finished his last attack of paperwork. "Such a tedious task challenges the limits off the mind." He sighed. "Hmm, I've heard that Squad 6 generously handles the paperwork for a number of other squads..." His musing was interrupted by Fang who perked up smelling someone at the door. Daishin sensed found that the reiatsu was a new one. "Please, come in!" He sounded before the newcomer had a chance to knock.
