Im back and i'll be posting in a few hours. My schedule has finally cleared up, so i'll be able to post regularly from now.
Sorry for the delay, been a bit busy as of late. I'll try to have a post up tomorrow.
As Alexis dashed in, Vos payed close attention to her footwork. Seeing her assume a boxing stance, ready to use her fists as a means of throughly pummeling him, he expected her to compensate for the disadvantage in range with meticulous maneuvering and looked for the slightest shifts in direction her body would show.

However, Alexis continued onwards in a straight line and moved into punching range with a second step. There wasn't even a possibility of it being a feint - she had gained too much momentum to safely bait and pull back - so Vos predicted an attack instead and crouched, raising his left forearm over his head: Alexis had her torso leaning forwards and front leg only slightly bent, which meant she could only be throwing a high punch, from which he would now be protected. At the same time, he leaned forwards, and activating the Killer Ring spell, thrust his shortsword underneath her ribs.

The first jab thrown at him would be deflected by strike from his arm, only charring his leather coat, while the rest would be interrupted by Vos'stoorge's spell conjuring three more blades to bite into his opponent's flesh.

Oho. I can guarantee you won't like it. >:3
Have been busy the past few days, but i should get a post tomorrow.
Leeroy, i dare you to say any of the tournament's participants can go up against a normal human with a machinegun and close the gap quick enough. Using cover? Sure, but not by outdoing them with sheer speed or durability, even if they are superhuman.
BTW, an important point you have forgot to address is the damage done by bullets and their interaction with armor. Normal humans can take multiple shots from a handgun without even being severely crippled; of course, they have to be lucky enough to not get hit in the vitals, but that still counts as surviving. A mid-tier character would be capable of much more with proper armor and speed, a vest with ballistic inserts allowing to take a few shots from a rifle and proper footwork and movements would allow to dazzle a gunman and prevent him from inflicting any serious damage with the bullets that hit.
Guns are pretty high tier, so you could just use a high-tier character. Camouflage, illusion spells, armor, regeneration, speed, use of cover, deception - combine all that in one character, and you'll hardly get hit by any kind of modern gun.

But i think that you don't even have to be all that powerful, just versatile enough: if he had body armor or even just a pack of smokebombs, im pretty sure Vos could fight on even ground with Mac Leod. A cast of Black & White to reduce his visibility, throw around some smoke to hide, and upon having the spell go off, simply rush in and take the kill. A viable tactic if executed well enough, and even more so with body armor.
I'll try to have a post up in a day or two from now.
I agree with Awson - but i'd rather say that the torso only seems to long, while the real problem are the stiff shoulders, raised too high and aligned on a strictly horizontal line, despite one arm being raised and the other - lowered. I'd give them at least a bit of a slant, if not try to loosen them up somehow. Though i guess it's mostly the fault of the shoulder pads - they add additional volume, making the body look slightly disproportionate.

As for making the pose more dynamic, you could twist the torso a little bit more, in either way. Turn her so that her chest faces the viewer, and you can juxtapose the 3/4 view of the leg with the en face of the torso; turn her left side close, and she'll be shoving the severed head in your face, which makes it a bit more aggressive.

Don't listen too me too much though, as i am a complete amateur. I've just had my share of drawing people, so i thought i'd throw my two cents in. :P
