Some time later, the cat indeed abandoned its futile attempts to get my attention. Skimming over the clock's display with my eyes for the second time, i let out a hearty yawn - a mere twol minutes had passed, the page i was reading still unfinished, but the cat's sheningans made me lose all concentration left, so i decided to take a breather and get myself a drink.
Only when i stood up, the floor creaking underneath my weight, i realized why the quiet scratching distracted me so much. Standing still, listened - nothing. Heading towards the doorway i noticed that my own footsteps suddenly sounded hostile and alien amidst such deafning silence... Yes, that is when i should've began fearing, as there was no night other than that very one when not even the distant sound of a lonesome car speeding down the highway could be heard, but i simply dismised that as odd. Odd, but nothing too serious at all.
Eager to cuddle up with my furry friend and shoo the sleepyness away with a cup of hot tea, i walked up to the door, wrapping my hand around it's cold metal handle, and pulled.

Yeah, but i still try to chuck in a melee fighter or two, beacause it just spices up the action and makes things more interesting. Writing out feints, footwork, the straining of one's muscles and their battle fevor - there sure is some space here for a weighty, juicy post, and that is why i aint keen on abandoning my attempts to fuse technology with close up and personal wartool swinging. Even gunslingers i RP with are usualy stuntsmen, beacause turret-like behemoths with guns rarely show enough variety in their combat tactics.

Id like to ask a question regrding my future characters abilities: is it okay for the mana expenditure to be decided in combat when regrding healing powers? Currently, im thinking of having the cost of healing increase with the amount of organic tissue required to restore and reseal, but that means that the needed amount of mana can't stricly defined and has to be decided on spot, depending on the severity of the wound.

Listing the cost per gramm and cm^2 would be a bit too much, at least for me. I dont want to be all "count, count, rinse, repeat" every time my char heals.

Once i finish my characters (it looks like i'll finaly have a working computer this week, though i still aint sure), i'll have both a group capable of taking a high-tier character down and an assortment of fighters fit for an intermediate 1v1. Quite a pleasant option. :3

But since one can be taken to wherever they wish, i assume it is legit to return to their homeworld to re-equip? Guns, swords, armor - with stuff like that.
