Ellie brushed past a girl, assuming it was another roommate, who was entering the dorm as she was leaving. Ellie barely caught a glimpse of her, not really caring who she was, and probably wouldn’t recognize her if she saw her again. Bored Ellie thought to herself with a soft sigh. She had just walked out of the door, about to turn down one hallway before turning quickly to the opposing direction, and almost ran into a man with his shirt off. She blinked a few times, only her eyes showing any expression as her lips and forehead remained detached from caring. She looked him up and down with a glance that didn’t say she was checking him out, more like sizing up competition. Or prey. ”Hello,” she said in return, simply looking in his eyes. A smirk twitched at the corner of her lips as thoughts raced through her mind of how she could kill him. How easy it could be. But then again, she assumed anyone here with her was known for killing as well and it would probably be frowned upon if she went around murdering the other students. So, she cleared her throat, mentally rolling her eyes as she tilted her head in feigning interest. She’d had a lot of practice being charming before to men and she could do it again. She probably wouldn’t have to fake it if she had managed to find a man as firey as herself, but she was beginning to think that was silly to think of. A charming closed lip smile completed her expression although her eyes still held a hint of death in them. ”I guess you kill people too?” she said softly, bluntly.

Reading books ftw
Evelyn hardly noticed those she passed, just wanting to get back to the safety of her home. She approached her cottage and slipped inside, turning quickly and resting her back against the solid wood as if it were an anchor to ground her. She closed her eyes and thought to herself. There were explanations for what had happened obviously… One, the man could move incredibly quickly. Perhaps a magician? Yes, an illusionist playing a joke. Of course. And she had fallen for it. She opened her eyes and relaxed, smiling. What an experience. At least she would have a story for her co-workers tomorrow that they would appreciate. She moved to the hearth, removing her jacket and hanging it on a hook. She began her fire that would burn all night to keep her warm in the absence of other bodies. Someone peering in the window would perhaps expect to see a family night about to begin. A mother putting on dinner, a father reading a story to two young siblings who warmed by the fire. But no. Evelyn cut off a bit of cheese and a hunk of bread, putting them on a plate and setting them on a small table next to the rocking chair that was a safe distance from the fireplace. As flames began, Evelyn changed out of her garments into a thin but comfortable white night gown, lacey around the arms and bosom, dusting the floor in length as she walked. She brushed out her hair before grabbing her grandmother’s heavy quilt and a book with a page in the middle bent downward. She curled up in the rocking chair, wrapping the quilt around her body and opened the book to read with her left hand. She casually lit a match with her right and lit the oil lamp on the table next to her rocking chair that had her meager meal, blowing out the match and beginning to read as she periodically nibbled the cheese and bread.

what do the others say about this??

That I'm completely confused when it comes to the character.
Faris turned before heading out of the Ares cabin, smiling and jutting her hip out like she normally did when complimented. ”Thanks bro,” she smirked, kind of getting used to this kid and thinking they could get along just fine. ”I talked to Mr. D but he was just a bitter old dude in a recliner. Didn’t feel like sharing. He said the party was cool though and that an Aphrodite kid would bring some liquor so no worries,” she said, nodding as he mentioned the Aphrodite girl. She had thought Mr. D said ‘he’ not ‘she’ but whatever. Someone had better supply the party cause Faris wasn’t. Before leaving she gave Venny’s party outfit a thumbs up, remarking with a smirk under her breath how Creampuff would love it before stepping out of the cabin.

She took the music to the party, setting it off to the side when she arrived at the arena. She saw lots of food and wine setting out just waiting to be devoured, some campers already mingling and eating, hanging out. Faris smiled, gratified, as she waltzed over to a red headed chick that was welcoming other campers. ”Hey, are you the one Venny mentioned? Jessica I think?” Faris asked, liking any girl who helped with a party. ”I’m Faris… another Ares brat apparently,” she said, not holding her hand out for a shake but not seeming unfriendly either. The atmosphere changing from ‘you’ve been dumped here, don’t cause trouble and get used to it’ to ‘party it up but don’t set anything on fire’ had cheered her demeanor up, becoming more charming than feisty if only for the moment.

Great character, and I see you have everything down, except...the teenagers are from our world, and your history, despite being very interesting and in-depth, doesn't seem like it could happen here.
