Yvette blushed deeply when Jhett squeezed her hand, surprised at any sort of kindness shown back to her and causing her to smile softly. ”Oh being able to hunt will be a great asset. Now we definitely have to get you fixed up,” she smirked, trying to cheer Jhett up a little when she heard someone holler. She moved Jhett’s hand to hold her shirt to the back of his head while she let go and stood, putting her hand above her eyes to block the sun while she looked out at the boy Jhett was yelling back and forth to. ”Here if you want I can take him your knife,” Yvette said, unsure about leaving these two injured boys to help the other. Seemed like the sea gods hated the men at the moment.
Keela smiled and led Blake and Runa across the island. The sound was further away than she’d originally thought and they’d talked for a while, so the trek went through the night. By the time Keela was able to get to where she knew the sound had originated from, she was exhausted. ”I’m sorry, I don’t see any sort of house or anything. It all still looks like bushes and trees.” she said in a disappointed voice, her sense of adventure sliced. She sat down on the ground and crossed her legs, yawning and rubbing her eyes as dawn peeked over the horizon.

Yvette glanced worried after the girls, feeling guilty for not going but at the same time convincing herself it was for the best. After all, this other guy was threatening to go if he had to be on the beach alone. ”What is your name?” she asked him, wincing slightly when she would catch a glimpse of the burn on his leg. She looked back to Jhett when he asked if it was really as bad as she made it seem, hesitating before sighing and taking off the remnants of her shirt, thankful he swimsuit top had stayed on, and pressed the wad of cloth to the back of Jhett’s head. ”Well, it’s not very long, but it’s deep is all. With a lot of bruising which may have caused a concussion I guess,” she said, having no idea of his real injuries. She wasn’t a doctor after all. ”It’ll be okay though. You’ll both be fine when the girls get back,” Yvette smiled optimistically for the boys.
I'm writing a post tomorrow for my charrie. I was just waiting to see if Fell would post first.
Evelyn was abruptly woken from her dream by a loud boom in the distance. The windows and and china on her shelves shook slightly as she peered around with owl eyes in the dark, wondering what had happened. She glanced out the window she had fallen asleep under to see a few townspeople actually going outside and she realized an explosive must have went off or earthquake must have happened. She sighed and rubbed her tired eyes, grateful for the wakeup call either way. Her dream had turned into a nightmare. She had been wandering through the city at night, heels making dull thuds on the street and echoing off the brick walls. She had been wearing a hooded cloak, forest green, and a peasant dress that ruffled around her breast and accented her waist before falling A-line into a white round skirt. Her hair was plaited but resting over her shoulder instead of down her back, and she was running from someone. She kept peering around corners, gripping rough walls of shops and tearing up her nails while she tried to escape whatever was chasing her. That’s when a firm hand had gripped her arm. She could not scream. She could not escape. She was frozen, sharp teeth penetrating her skin as she closed her eyes and mouthed a scream. The mix of pain and a release were surging through her when her eyes had popped open from the boom.

Evelyn tried to forget the dream and quickly got up to grab her coat, wrapping it around her night gown and rushing outside. Word was spreading of something having happened up at the Kingsley mansion, where all the vampire talk originated from. Evelyn stared up towards the manor, wondering if perhaps vampire talk wasn’t all that silly.

Yvette smiled nervously at Angel. ”I’m Yvette… this is Jhett,” she said, introducing them. She was sure she’d seen them in the halls at school, but it was a large school and Yvette was so bad at making friends. She tried to hide her worry too that she had yet to see her friend Brooke. ”I’ll stay here with you and Jhett,” Yvette said to the other boy, willing to watch over the injured rather than go on this first aid mission. When Jhett mentioned wanting to rest, Yvette’s eyes went wide. She was too afraid if he closed his eyes they wouldn’t open. ”Come on, you have to stay awake just long enough for them to get the kit. Then I’ll fix you up and you can nap then,” she said, sounding unsure of herself. She chewed on her lip again, making it bleed from her nervousness at the injuries sustained by the two boys.

Yvette nodded when he asked if the rocks were steady, but she felt horrible for him having to crawl. She decided to get on her hands and knees, and crawled with him across the sand. They didn’t speak but she would glance at him from time to time to make sure he looked alright. Once they got to the rocks, Yvette stood, helping Jhett climb over them to the other side, some of his blood dampening her hand as she helped. They managed to make it over though, and Yvette gently placed her hands on Jhett’s shoulders. ”Please, rest, don’t exert yourself more,” she said in a pleading tone, eyes worried before glancing over her shoulder at the other survivors. "If there is a first aid kit we need it. His gash needs stitches," she said, stomach churning slightly.
Six nodded, smiling at the direction she heard 27’s feet move in. She resisted saying hello since she didn’t want to embarrass herself and say hi to thin air in case she was hearing wrong. She repeated the numbers in her mind. Twenty Seven and Three. 27 crumpled my door and speaks backwards. 3, or Shin, is guiding me around. she would have to start making a list of all those she met in her mind. It would be a lot harder to keep track than if she could see them and know their appearances. Then again, depending on the experiments done on them, it might be best she couldn’t see the damage.

Six felt reassured by Shin’s demeanor that seemed surprisingly upbeat for the dire situation they all found themselves in. It was comforting or at least made her less nervous. She followed him quickly though, giving enough space between them so she didn’t step on the back of his heels, but not slowing him down. She felt him halt after a minute and stopped, frowning slightly as she listened to him say to stay put. She nodded, looking slightly downward with her arms at her side, telling herself everything would be alright. She just had to stand here. If someone grabbed her, she’d just open her eyes and blast them.

Six jumped a little when a cold hand took hers, almost opening her eyes. But her fingers felt the shape of the hand and it was Shin. Why was he so cold? ”Yes,” she breathed in relief when the familiar voice asked if she was ready, following him and the heavy footfalls of 27 to what she assumed was 002’s cell.

Yvette yelled back to the girl who told her to come to them,”I can’t! I have a friend over here who is hurt! Can you all come this way?” she asked, face strained. She didn’t want Jhett to have to try and climb over these rocks while hurt, but as Yvette looked she saw the boy was hurt, limping. He couldn’t climb the rocks either. She chewed her lip, wondering what she should do. ”Just a sec!” she called again to the three before turning and hopping down from the rocks, jogging back to Jhett. She was out of breath but smiled when she got to him. ”There are three others over there, two girls and a guy. The guy is hurt too though, he was limping,” she explained, on her knees next to Jhett so she wasn’t talking down to him. The point now was that they knew they weren’t alone.
