Jaze watches Astley struggle, "Well...Not exactly. Please hear me out." Jaze is puzzled, but listens intently. Astley proceeds, "I am a pixie king." She scrunches her forehead in response, "A... Pixie king...?" Jaze questions. "I must admit, Astley, I'm quite confused, but..." She pauses, and reaches for his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze, "But something tells me to believe you. I feel as though you are telling me the truth - as crazy as that seems to me." Jaze gives a slight smile, "You are, however, going to have to explain to me what exactly a "pixie king" is and if it affects me or not." She truly wanted things to work between them, and although this is certainly not how she expected her first encounter with her soulmate to go - she was hopeful.

Astley smiles, "It's not rambling when the person you speak to enjoys it." Jaze cocks her head to the side and her eyes light up. Awww, that was sweet! Her soulmate stumbles a little over his words, "This may seem odd...but... How do you feel about...pixies?" Jaze has a confused expression, "I... A pixie?" Oh great, this guy's a nut! He believes in fairies... "Well," Jaze starts. You don't know anything, plus he said "pixies", not fairies. "I didn't really think anything of them. They're creatures in fairy-tales, aren't they?" Jaze isn't sure why Astley is acting so strange about this question. Of course she doesn't believe in things like pixies, but it wouldn't bother her if her soulmate liked to believe things like that.

Jaze watches Astley's attractive smile. She is so taken aback by everything that is going on that he can hardly concentrate. Astley snaps Jaze out of her trance, "So...tell me everything about you...I want to know everything." They approach a bench and her soulmate gestures for her to join him. Jaze gives him a smile, "Everything, huh? Where do I even start?" She takes a seat beside him on the bench. Studying him, she notices a small metal object peeking out of the top of Astley's shirt pocket. Jaze is curious about why her soulmate is carrying around what she assumes to be a flask, but let's it go for now. "Well," she starts, "I currently live by myself and work as a waitress at the local bar. I would like to think of myself as hard-working, as all I've ever done since my parents died is devote myself to my job and school. I have now graduated college, and I'm in an intersection in my life right now, I guess... Unsure of what direction to take." Jaze looks at him, catching his gaze - You sound so lame, just talking about your job - her cheeks turn red. "Gah, I always feel I'm rambling." She says apologetically.

Jaze watches as her soulmate walks towards her, he had changed into jeans and a blue t-shirt. She smiles, admiring Astley as he approaches her. He offers his hand and an invitation for a walk. Jaze happily accepts both, extending her hand as well. "A walk sounds lovely." She agrees. So, honestly, this guy is pretty hot... Jaze blushes, "Shall we continue?" She nods towards the door of the hospital. Curious to find out about this man and his background, Jaze takes the lead. I know this guy is our soulmate and all, but you never know, he could be dangerous... Jaze loses her smile for second, Oh shut up, just look at him. I mean, maybe he is dangerous, if you know what I mean ;) then regains it with a slight giggle. She shakes her head and looks back at Astley. Jaze knows she is always worried about men in general, so she gets dismisses the thought of being in possible danger. Besides, Jaze would much rather think about what she said about Astley being a different kind of dangerous.

Jaze watches as the man shrugs, he starts walking away explaining he needs to change his clothes. Jaze follows Astley to the front desk, he turns to her, "If you don't mind waiting a few minutes, I'm going to change out. I don't want to walk around in scrubs all day." Jaze smiles back at him, "Of course, that's fine!" Astley walks off to go change his clothes and Jaze is left standing at the front desk. She looks after him longingly, hoping the impression she's made so far isn't completely terrible. She breaks her gaze as Astley moves out of sight and finds a chair nearby. Wow... Isn't he handsome? I can't believe his beautiful blue eyes... Jaze laughs silently. Okay, honestly even I'm impressed. We've got a good one here for sure. Jaze brings her eyes up to the clock on the wall not wanting to wait, but knowing that if she has waited this long, she can wait a few minutes more.

The man can obviously see Jaze is having trouble standing, attempting to help he offers his hand and greets her. He smiles, "Astley Haven...nice to meet you." Thousands of thoughts racing through her mind, she feels so overwhelmed and slightly upset with herself. Come on, you have rehearsed this day in your head so many times, you're blowing it... Jaze knows she is acting strange, but it is mostly just because she had put so much pressure on this meeting. The simple fact that this moment is actually happening is very overwhelming. She smiles anyway wanting to appear friendly and sociable, "Nice to meet you as well Astley, I am Jasmine Bain. I'm sorry, I'm not always like this... Honestly I was so busy today I had forgotten that this is the date to meet you. I've been counting down to this day for the longest time, I'm bewildered this took me by surprise. And... Now I'm rambling." Jaze realizes she still had ahold of Astley's hand. Embarrassed, she drops it immediately - the blood rushing to her face. "I'm sorry..." She squeaks out, looking down. Wow... That was one of the worst introductions I've ever heard. Jaze sighs. She's right, it wasn't pretty... Don't make us look bad, we've gotta make this work!
