Mars Hostage Crises

Another voice enters the room, much stronger, authorative. One that could have been male or female, young or old.
Oh please, the great Faust. Can't even fend off a single biological creature with too much spiritual energy. Weak, even compared to the dying Goddess, that resides over the humans in secret. We know your presence, we were thinking before you were sleeping. We block you from our ships, our thoughts, our presence pushes yours away. Can't even make a race as great as the humans, and they were given nothing but a chance to evolve. The humans must be preserved out of honor, as well as danger. They overcome any obstacle with their own physical bodies. Near all else relies one some extra power. The Equestrians are particularly shameful, because they never evolved, they never grew, they never learned.

They were given power to do things for them, given knowledge and thought without earning it. Take the gifts all away, and the humans will stand alone, as the conquerers.

You interfere, Faust, and we will rid your presence. We need not to give creatures shortcuts, but rather a path to learn. Be gone!

Abruptly, in low orbit, hundreds of Corvettes folded in, quickly descending with weapons inactive, shields at double. Anyone that had some kind of psionic or magical ability could feel the pressure of hundreds of powerful minds merging, to keep the Equestrian Maker away.
I'm not making it a video game. You guys say no to something, so I just make it work some other way, if I really need it. It's character-based, no? Why would everyone be the same? That's no fun. If the main character of a post just passed the same people, it's no fun.

You say no 'vidya-games.' I just want diversity in what types of troops, plus the military-utilitarian aspect looks quite cool. I'm not looking to turn it into a video game. Is it that you both figure that I'm Rogue, and that you both want to be rid of him? I'm pretty tired of that, plus that it's bad to be 'vidya-game' style, but it's perfectly fine to point out every wrong thing in every post by every other person.

You may not understand, but that's just a different form of 'superiority complex,' as Duck so calls it. You're just going around, thinking you're 'educating.' Some people listen. Some people get fustrated with getting targetting for not being hardcore-accurate in a regular roleplay.

Please, if something says that this is a hardcore roleplay, based on nothing but fact, then obviously you're doing something wrong, because the likliness of a nuclear weapon NOT being launched is very unlikely, so there would be a helluva lot more radiation zones. And no one would trust each other. And people would be more likely to just loot and run, rather than become a nation again. Any place with a real power grid would be out of power, because surely a bomb would have hit one station, and knocked out the entire grid in the process, and set places back a century.

Please, if this is a hardcore roleplay, do tell, and I'll get up and leave. I'm not inclined to sit around with several guys breathing down my neck about every little thing. From location to a type of equipment on a guy, decades in the future.
Then I'll just go with a juggarnaut, with a bit more advanced armor plating, due to the time difference.

The Supreme Draconian blinked at the human, and tilted its head in true confusion.

"We were planning for DNA and soul replication the entire time. Taking the DNA alone is not good enough; we must also take a sample of the soul in order to truly bring a race back to life, or they will be easily influenced to be whatever is taught to them. That was the entire plan, we never sought to capture or hold anything. We aren't even big enough to hold half of one of your giant nations. Why in the universe would you think we sought to control an entire nation? We only seek to create a replication that knows of the past, of the legacy, not of just a blank, newborn clone. You and the Equestrians both refused. We can't guarantee total sanity after the process is completed, but the stronger, better soul, better person, the more likely they will come out with either a very, very unnoticeable aftereffect, or a very major effect, but it means that the future recreation of the race will be strong and just in their dealings. Of course, your peoples just figured we were here trying to conquer you, and kept us back with a gun to our chests."
but slappy fights are fuuuuuuun.
but ok.
Well, Dinh, Duck's already given the go-ahead for my app. The suits are already in. Rare, still, even about higher persons of the APIRCA, but they're that one thing that makes anyone attacking say "Oh, shit" and think about their next move. A simple pistol won't solve this! Break something to flood the hallway with steam or smoke of some kind and try sneaking past [I might as well remove infrared, except for suits that are obviously modified for such], or just get a sledgehammer and knock him in the head, instead of sneaking past.

Think of it as incentive to be creative. They wouldn't be used as mercs or hirable military: too expensive, too difficult to make, nor would they be used for some kind of assault. Just guarding high-value.

And I never said anything about using antimatter as some kind of super weapon. Sure, you can toss a weak canister under a tank's tracks right before it rolls over it to destroy that area, but that'd be an incredibly expensive grenade. I was just thinking for it to be used when, later in the roleplay [if I'm still here or if it's still active], when everything is all stabilized and everything, it can be used to go UP, and be all Insignia. [Book reference.]
Oh, and duck, the armor suits aren't like the in-game suits. They've got a good resistance to small arms fire, to the point where they'd actually be able to take a dozen or so hits before getting something injured, like a laceration or broken bone. But, they do have enhanced reflexes and the like. Not super-duper, but better than humans that aren't taking martial arts classes for fun. And, obviously, connected to the service rifles the soldiers carry, and a special side-arm, so that they can see where they're pointing with a transparent laser-light-ish-thingy. Like, aiming without having to bring your rifle up. And, nightvision, infrared, etc.

But they're hard to make, so they're rare. See one, run away is your best bet, unless you're in close with an automatic shotgun, you're out of range with a heavy weapon, like a snuperrifle, or you have a couple spare grenades to toss.

But they might toss the grenades back!
That made the old CoD's so fun ^.^
Except you didn't know the Dracs. You didn't know much of anything, besides "They were dangerous, nobody likes them, they are reptillian, they are advanced, and they are almost always pissed."
Don't make assumptions about another player's character or nation. It's not for you to decide, it's for the maker.
Sometimes, Dinh, maybe just say you don't see why one would like something, but maybe not go on to disprove it or something? It's kind of downing, at least from my perspective, if I weren't as good with grammar or spelling [or just didn't care to use it or learn it], and find myself put down for liking this and this, and for not knowing as much as someone else. Suggestion, but I've had people rage at me for me mentioning that I'm more advanced than them, even though I'm the one writing paragraphs with descriptions and such, and they're still going half-liners with *____* and -_______-, and taking no effort to do any more. I have done what you have done with them before [except on a smaller scale] and found that everyone hated me. I'm not sure if there are as many... 'free style' roleplayers like that here, but still. Something to think about.

And that doesn't mean you use logic to explain why I'm wrong. This is true, believe it or not. There are things that logic and reason will never change, sadly
Now, am I accepted? They only have files of antimatter, not any particle accelerators or anything.
