Dear lord, Guilt. Can't you see? Glittering drama queen. Obviously Starry's real name is Edward Cullen.

ANTI-TWILIGHT SOLDIERS, GO!
Ellri, lemme edit then, mk?

Bing is the most legitimate section of this, ah, crossbow debate. We can either use them... or not use them. If the ballista and the crossbows are a no-go, then the kingdom I'm making will have catapults and trebuchets. Given the height that they'd be mounted on, such as a mountain or a very high stone wall, they'd also have a tremendous range in comparison to other catapults and trebuchets.

@Aristo, as long as the Constabularies of relics is secret you're accepted. Another thing to note, when you confiscate a relic the person dies.....remember that? They're not interchangeable among people, they form a permanent bond. I'll send you a PM though.

I was looking back at the characters, especially Itani, since I'd probably be facing her, and I figure this might be relevant to the Vocators and their Empire.

Somewhere around that Wilson, as I said these are the grunts being sent at you. I mean in what kinda game do you face off the boss first? Nah if you prove a bigger threat they'll send bigger badder bad guys after you. Anyway it is long past bed time but bloody "to be continued" on tv shows kept me up.

The very first Call of Duty was hard when that was the first FPS you ever played. Like, they didn't even give you a GUN

You're running up a hill to a factory with mortars slamming down all around you and machineguns firing at you, and all they gave you was a cartridge of Kar98 rounds!
"Lightning was angry. This mere mortal thought she could dodge him as if he were an arrow! His life and his entire existence spanned only a few seconds, but for him, they were years. He was hurtling through space, unrecognizable space, towards a black-clad target. He screamed as he went, letting out a deafening blast of thunder, screaming all the several years of his life, slowly making his way from spots that were easy to pass through with the least resistance. As he neared the girl, and the girl seemed to move oh-so-slowly to the side, he continued screaming. The conductivity of her body pulled Lightning in, seething with hatred that this mere mortal could possibly think she could possibly dodge HIM?! This was a major @*$&%#$ offensive action against one so powerful as Lightning. Lightning burst on, now with his course corrected and slamming into the girl."

Totally awesome imagination for Myth.

Myth smirked, and said, "Come on! These are mere girls dressed up with weapons! Whatever skills they might possess, I am sure that you and I can adequately counter them! Observe!" He looked one of the girls straight in the eye, one of four that were advancing towards them. He called out, "Stand down and I won't kill you!" When all they did was speed up, he lashed out with a lightning bolt. The girls were perhaps trained for dodging an arrow, to lean and move to the side enough so that the arrow wizzed by. She tried to do the same with the lightning bolt.

Lightning was angry. The conductivity of her body pulled Lightning in, seething with hatred that this mere mortal could possibly think she could possibly dodge HIM?! This was a major @*$&%#$ offensive action against one so powerful as Lightning. Lightning burst on, now with his course corrected and slamming into the girl.

Back out of Myth's imagination, the lightning smashed into the girl with boom of thunder, sending her flying away like a ragdoll, burning through any leather, metal, or cloth in its way. The next few seconds had two more lightning bolts launched at Myth's enemies; one hit, tossing another girl whom, unbeknownst to the metaphorical spawn of Zeus and the metaphorical spawn of that Mountain over there, was hoping to become a full-fledged Vocator with plenty of other Vocators under her command. But NOPE!, lightning says NO!

"You take the other two, stoney."

I'm scottish Aristo, I talk shit. Don't take it seriously all the time.

I can somewhat support this. My dad had a customer overseas in Scotland or somewhere around there, and my dad would spend over an hour writing the emails and checking them and checking them again and again to make sure that he doesn't set off the Scottish guy, because he's like a really short fused 20-artillery-shells-on-a-fuse. He just 'splodes once the slightest thing sets him off.

Anyways:
Ladies, ladies!
Everyone knows that my super-duper automatic crossbows will totally beat all armor plating because they've got Armor Piercing and High Explosive bolts. Duuuuh! My T.I.E. fighters [To Internet Explorer!] will pull in all enemies in a warp of crappiness! My super-heavy howitzer cannons shall bombard the world with piles of poo and jam! WE WILL FLOOD THE VALLEYS WITH HOT TEA!

And on with the seriousness,
I know that Vocators are trained and trained and trained, but the ones that my character has seen and fought against so far were, what, 15? Right? Myth has been training for more than fifteen years. He's two times older than them, and then a little bit more. I honestly don't see how they can be such a threat to someone that's been as trained as Myth, or by someone who lives in their armor like the Knights. They're good, I'm sure, but young age and a high level of skill kinda go opposites: the older you get, the better.

I updated the local map to include other Othean cities/locations you can flee to. And I updated the big map, warning it is even bigger now. Like, twice the size.@Sep, if you want to work with Wilson on his steampunk kingdom in the south east that'd be good.@Wilson, but they couldn't fly then.

Of course they wouldn't fly!
Unless they had a flying Relic.
Airships would be too advanced
Gliders... maybe. It'd be more realistic since the mountain cities over-looking the valley might want to give people the option of going down to the capital city in a jiffy, or perhaps just to go land at any of the scenic spots. With a steam-punk-y technology, there could be fans/steam vents that would allow a glider to get a boost into the air. #VideoGameStyle

Anti-siege crossbows? You mean ballista?

Jes, I was just having a lazy moment and didn't feel like switching my two crossbows into one crossbow and one ballista.

Ah, interesting but I was thinking of avoiding non-human sentient races.

However, would it be ok if they were human? Like a Dwemer, but human?
