Planet N-1, Battlefleet Alpha
All ships moved into a seldom-used battle stance, each of the Battlecruisers showing their bellies to the planet, their rows of heavy turrets lined up on the top, aimed away from the planet, ready to fire an inaccurate but deadly hail of projectiles. Each Explorer turned its knife-like prow to face the newcomers, and began slowly advancing, ready to fire on a moments' notice. However, they didn't fire on the pods that came at them, and instead let them deploy the strange creatures onto the ships. Sensing that they may simply want to get in and destroy the crew, the Swarmer missiles retracted inside the armored hull, and plates of armor re-sealed the turret back inside.

Meanwhile, as the creatures worked their way up from the bow to the stern, seven figures emerged from an airlock, closer to the engines than to the bow of the ship. Two hunters led the way, sparse anti-vacuum breathers and armor covering their torso and the lower half of their face. With them was a single Tinkerer, crystal spikes raised in alarm, and four Engineers, each armed with a single energy handgun and an energy carbine. The Tinkerer was armed with a handgun and a long-range rifle, which he carried in hand.

Weapons in hand, with the Hunters leading the way, the seven made their way with magnetic boots towards the nearest creature. As they approached, the Hunters' two shortsword-like extensions extended out slightly, the flexible, tough material hardening and lengthening, a result of evolution, serrated edges at the ready. Each Engineer raised their weapons as they approached, though the Tinkerer began to quicken pace to step forward, rifle lowered. When they were close enough to begin picking out the creatures' innards, about at the same range as the length of a schoolroom, the procession halted. The Tinkerer stepped forward, and stamped his foot on the floor of the ship, making a soundless thud, and sending a small vibration. Then, he waited.
Hey, Ellri, perhaps you could also include my posts when you read everything?

I said that I have a nation lore thingy that has land that the Kalesian empire has, down in the Southern area, where the valley that is enclosed by mountains is, and includes the mountains. Could you PM me or vice versa so we can talk about it?

Watcha ya want you Wilson?

If your people did something, it could cause an incident, but I'm not going to tell you anything regarding future plans or weapons or something or the other, since you'll use the OOC info to IC-prepare. You do it, don't lie, and the best way to prevent you from using OOC information of metagame is to just not say anything at all.

Oh, they detect mass? I wanted to speak about that. Hives give off a small heat signature, but they are entirely organic, so the best they can give off is a mass signature or radiation give-off.Edit: P.S. - They aren't just spamming eggs onto the planet, they will be sending something that is essentially a greeting to the ships above before sending down their pods. They wouldn't send any pods down at all usually, but they sense the presence of another Hive mind, and they can get jealous.Edit2: Apologies, disregard the Windshield/camera question. I apologize if I may have insulted your peoples blindness. The blindness wasn't connecting with the windshield/cameras for some reason at first

By mass detection, I mean matter. More of a seeing-all-around-them-with-brain kind of thing, as if they literally had eyes in the back of their head... and everywhere else. Their eyes still 'function,' they still are alive and the Valkians do blink, but it's more like something that they lost the ability to use, but never actually lost it.

Of course, if duck-
nevermind.

They'll just crash everywhere.

All that crash on N-1 will die. Just saying. That, or taken hostage. And, mind you, everything they have will look bland and in strange shapes. Valkians can't see- they detect mass. A metal figure of a water droplet could be considered art, while a painting will be nothing more than a strange, meaningless piece of clothing.

You'd have to ask for a list. I can tell you now that Sazkarjhia has 10.

I have 14. One system.

Alright Wilson, it;s Planet N1 that's under attack by the Spore Hive Mind, correct?

Yes, it's the outermost planet in the Valkian system. Although, you might want to crash onto the two with-atmo moons, N-1-M1 or N-1-M2

Hello everyone,I have been reading some of the IC and OOC along with the Wiki. The universe seems to be quite hostile at the moment. I am curious as to if I could participate and add to the Universe. I have done nation Roleplays on other forums but I was thinking that instead of starting off with a nation I would start off with a character who is apart of a nation that has just recently been overpowered and enslaved. My character would crash land on a planet (whichever one of you who would like to have me :) ) and have no real memories of how he got there (side effects of emergency deep space travel for a long period of time.) he would start off as a complete mystery and a good story for your nation, along with some technology the ship would have when recovering my character. Eventually I want my character to find his way back home and free his people with help or without help and then from there I would transition into controlling an entire nation. Would this work in this universe and would anyone be interested? If this is something the GM's would consider, I think it could prove to be a good collaboration and addition to the story telling and universe building. Thank you

The Valkians would be guarded, but wouldn't reject such a survivor. You'd have to work up to it, but if there isn't a war and if they can spare it, they might send an Explorer to help your character find his way home. I don't have any personal characters atm, so it'd be useful to have you force such perspective.

What's the biggest civilization?

No idea.

I have a nearly-fully-developed nation in a solar system, where most of the planets could be considered "Core Worlds" in comparison to others. But in terms of military, crappy size, though they are all tanks in a land of APCs and armored cars. Except with just the same guns, maybe less powerful.

Fighters are a bit pricey for what your using them for however, it be better to use a anti-missile system. Fighters cost a bit more, espically if your using living pilots that need years of training. Shields can add on to the price. My idea was to just build a ton of drones out of scrap metal/easy findable cheap metals with a thruster strapped on. They then be released in massive quantities from ships, easily blocking missiles and fire from weaker weapons. A lot cheaper to.

Then they wouldn't be effective enough to bring down the defenses on a Valkian warfleet.

So Boerd I did notice a issue with your app... Humans haven't left the Sol system yet, so you will probably need to remove that. Unless we go with some kinda of hidden interstellar ship crashes or something or weird ass time travel.

You are no longer gm/mod; it is up to darkwolf now. I am not saying you can't tell him about the infraction of history, but just about accepting and the like. In case you needed reminding, of course, as your, ah, friendly roleplay-neighbor.
