Free apothecary? The forest has all manner of demons; collecting herbs and other plants would be next to impossible without getting snatched and eaten, vaporized, incinerated, or another horrible death by demon.

You can have a boat that came earlier, but no one wants to go to the Mainland- boats are expensive, and they don't have much to trade, and there are a few demons that can reach a boat.
It's Gods of Greece- that means I'd preferably have something Greek. If it's Greek, it's cool. I don't mean you have to dredge up an actual god- you can make up your own.
It'd be Greek. Romans wouldn't mix well, nor would Egyptian.

Im not exactly looking for core worlds, more like colony worlds with strategic significance. I have 50 ships, idk what a fleet is to you.

50 ships won't be able to do anything unless you can block communications, or you can attack someone before reinforcements arrive. Neither are possible without some kind of rule to give some restriction on how fast people can react.
It's up to KeyGuy first, not me.

And I'm not coming back when people do that. If KeyGuy forgives me of my sins, so to speak, and says i may return to my Valkians, and if everyone else, including KeyGuy, agree to actually use time and not toss it aside, then sure, I'd love to come back. I'll even shut my trap for a while. But the entire reason I left is, more or less, because of the lack of use of time. We're roleplaying-having fun, writing a story. But does a giant fleet that assembled together from three different nations to make a very large combined force against just one puny little group sound like writing story, or playing an RTS game and ganging up on one guy by way of rush and cheats?

I'm not worth a whole lot, but I don't care to RP here again without AT LEAST a definite regard for time. SOMETHING to give a smaller force a CHANCE. Let the writing flow, let it be tense and hoping one way or another, not just... New Condia. If none of you see what I mean, then I will hang up my Valkian jacket for good, yeah?
Sorry. Been a bit stressed with school, and this is my first RP. First one that ever generated interest, you know?

bye.

Wilson... what is the point of this post? Are you just trolling now or what?Either come back to the rp and stop wrecking the ooc with arguments or go away. Don't just stand there like an idiot commenting on shit you shouldn't even care about because you're no longer a part of it.

#CaleTucker

And you guys were talking about me, and the stuff I had been talking about. Then people start voting on keeping me, and I'm confused- I left because I got tired of nothing changing.

The point of the post wasn't to troll- it was an example. A fleet takes time to assemble, to prepare, and to move out. A massive fleet of 600 ships would take even longer than three battlefleets of 40. By the time they assembled and moved out, several hours later, New Condia may have either fallen, or successfully repelled the hivemind fleets.

I don't mean to say that you can't do anything- I just want it to be.... a story. A story that we're all writing, with all we want. But what kind of story is it if everyone's jumping everyone instantly and everyone's ganging up on one enemy. The closest thing to a fair fight we'd have would be if half the nations were trying to curbstomp the other half- one on one nation fights simply aren't a possibility against some of you. The "Evil" aligned nations, such as the hivemind and the Etherals, you can do that. I, as the Valkians, fought both the Hivemind and the Etherals without having to bring in a thousand ships. If I lost, so be it. If I won, so be it. We roleplayed it out.

THAT'S what I'm suggesting. Terran ships have instantaneous communications to anyone they want, but they aren't the most powerful, though they are smart. Iscandarian ships have powerful shields and weapons, but can't stand up to enemies as long as everyone else, and would fall very quickly if someone found an anti-magic- since everything runs on magic. Valkian ships are strong, but aren't very good for larger battles, and aren't much of damage dealers, nor do they have shields- meaning that every hit is a hit that must be paid for.

Etheral ships have multipurpose choices- one can try to send a message for reinforcements while the other tries to hold the enemy back. If you take out the communications ship, you can prevent them from getting reinforcements sooner, which means you only need a smaller task group.

I'm not looking to put a chain around your ankles- I'm looking make time an actual factor. Make a post about getting the fleet(s) ready, and it'd take longer for the larger the fleet, no matter how good the communications are, and then they warp out and arrive, and then they enter combat and attack. If you come directly into the combat zone, you may come in right on top of an enemy- an enemy that's already ready to fire when you pop up. While you're powering up, you're getting shot at. And, you may even smash into an enemy ship, causing you both to lose a ship. A viable tactic, of course, if you outnumber the enemy by 10 to 1, but still not the best.

If I can at least get that, for everyone to be a bit more... timely, I suppose, then sure, I will stay, IF people want me to (Which I doubt). But if everyone votes me back and no one changes anything, then heck no- nothing changed the stuff I left for.
Actually, I left. Who says I want to come back to the pre-argument state? I'd rather not endure another curbstomp, thank you very much. I know you guys absolutely hate something that restricts your curbstomping, but the entire point of me getting mad was because of, at the base, a lack of timeline.

Terran ships receive distress call from New Condia; several hours and a lengthy speech later, the full FTL-capable Terran fleet arrive a couple minutes after the distress call was sent at New Condia... wait, what?

Soooo, any thoughts on my app?

Impressive- though there are several things:
A) Demons only overran the Mainland- think of the supercontinent before we got the current continents of today. There are a great many islands and Archipelagos, but the Demons only took to the Mainland- saltwater is a fearful substance.
B) Mages' College would, perhaps, have at least one surviving extension into the Mainland- well protected, very strong, and probably hidden in the Halls of the Dwarves.
C) A "Hero" is one of the four that is leading- I changed this on page 2 or something. A "Hero" are like Avalon- they're well-off, they can fund their team, they're probably an elf, and they're very skilled.

Change that bit, and you're accepted! Avalon might take her under his wing, so to speak, to teach her more extensive magics. He may not specialize in wind magic, but he'll know much more about it than she.
