Born too late to explore the world; born too early to explore the galaxy.

I'll eventually get a real bio in here.

You gonna rate my carrier?
Wait! I need my carrier for this. It's just about finished- lemme add it in. You willing to 'grade' it right now, Willy?
Cirruses look to be relatively cheap.

:3

There will be times when all I have is a tiny fleet, a bunch of cargoships, and an unusually high number of Cirruses. I won't use all my points- likely the majority of my points would be sent to whoever is accompanying me, or not spent at all. A small fleet can hide out-of-the way...

while the rest of the ships might as well be called Loki....

Aye, but there COULD be adventure:

Space exploration. Say... something from Interstellar. A wormhole appears, being powered artificially from the other side. A team of explorers, soldiers, and diplomats go through to find the mysterious beings who powered the said wormhole- and instead find a system filled with planets with relics of the civilization past. Searching through the different planets- perhaps ranging from jungly to deserty, from inhabited by defense 'bots to really dangerous creatures (that may or may not have been genetically engineered) in search of the advanced beings.

It's likely that we'd have ships across the solar system by the time 2250 comes around, so sending a ship through wouldn't be too much of a project.

It DID say scifi adventure, to be fair- this does look more like any other tech-versus-rawrs. This makes it a little more interesting, and less likely to be purely combat.

Of course, an uberweapon prolly wouldn't be allowed/accepted.

My character has inspiration from Titanfall, so he'd be ideal for exploration, fast or slow. And when shit hits the fan, the starship in orbit could drop some goodies for him to get- just have to survive 'till it drops.
Already have a character, btw.
Pleeeeeeeeease don't go with 'mecha.' My interest in this will completely die if someone uses a 'mecha' with a crapton of stuff that don't even sound realistic.

The difference between 'mech' and 'mecha' in my opinion is that 'mecha' with the 'a' means anime mech. And no. Mecha do giant sword fights with oddly advanced weapons with oddly outdated war. Mechs are walking tanks where a mech half the size of a mecha could smash a hole in it from sixteen miles away before the mecha even saw it.

There is reason we have Marines rather than carbon-fiber armored knights.

not for me, my interest will be lost so quickly that it'd be more akin to the movement of particles in a particle accelerator than anything.

But other than that, looks uber cool.
Sorry, but very suddenly my interest waned. The main hope for my nation to survive and grow stronger is very primarily based on the ocean. If the ocean is dying, and therefore the wildlife in it, then there is... well, nothing to live on. The ocean is the primary resource my people would have, besides vast, uninhabited desert.

And I much preferred mysterious disappearance, and a couple wrecks floating in space, with something hard-to-reach on the ground or in the water for bickering over. If this Nikkolaus could manage to defeat the alien fleet, he'd have the world united and there wouldn't be bickering nations.
Fair enough. Since no one else said anything in the past two days, I guess I'll drop out too. Not like there was much Higgins could do, nor did I have any idea what I was going to do with him.
