Bio

I'll eventually get a real bio in here.

((Note: This character is based a bit off of me. What he can do, I can do right now. Except with running. I suck at running, though I do have a good short sprint when I feel like it ^.^))
Name: James "Jay" Fillion
Age: 28
Relations: Everyone's dead.
Equipment: He has a backpack, 3 water bottles, only 1 filled, 7 packets of deer jerky [I kid you not, you get craptons of deer jerky from a deer, and much more if you shoot more than one], a hunting knife, a compound bow with 13 arrows, a shotgun with limited ammunition [33 rounds], small pair of binoculars, a roll of duct tape, a box of tissues, several neosporin tubes, nondescript black shit, brown/black trench coat, quiver, pair of combat boots, black jeans, a Minecraft baseball cap, and a hatchet. There is a belt that he holds the quiver and hatchet from. Gas mask with spare filters, heavy overcoat just as long as his trench coat. Pair of large wire cutters.
Appearance:
Personality: To be roleplayed?
Short Bio: Grew up in Texas, a ways from any town. Lived the first 2 decades or so of his life isolated from everyone else, except when in school or some school activity. When he reached high school, he switched schools, but still stayed isolated. Smarter than the average: top 10% of his class in both schools, didn't usually study or try very much. Wasn't much of an athletic kid, until people started trying to bite his head off. Then he started traveling and ended up at _______ where most of the other main characters of this story are at.
Other* (possible losses to be listed)

I am still looking for a picture.
How many is a Brigade?
Cause having enough footsoldiers to shake the ground
is like
unreasonably massive
You can have a stadium full of people screaming and yelling at their loudest, but I'm pretty sure the ground doesn't shake. That's just their feet against rickety metal constructionwork.

And true, Darkwolf.
I just don't believe that anything that is sentient and in space is content to lose control, and give it to someone else. If someone is in space, they are greedy or curious enough to do so. I doubt that they will easily let loose their freedom and control to someone else.
((I'm assuming that the meeting is taking place on the surface of the planet, in some kind of meadow or cleared area.))
((And Corvettes are easily bigger than any fighter, or small shuttle.

The only response was a ping that simply said 'Received.' After that, One formation of Corvettes broke from the warships and descended through the atmosphere to the meeting place. As they approached, the trails of light that appeared from the antimatter-darkmatter thrusters dissipated, and the ships began descending vertically. Coming to land on the ground, the cockpit of each ship raised somewhat, to give them a higher position, and doors that were between the 2 main backward-facing thrusters opened, to reveal 1 robed figure, a Draconian bodyguard, and a green-blue armored 4-legged spider-like humanoid with 6 eyes and a rather vicious set of 6 pincers for a mouth.

They all stepped forward, and then kept walking forward, meeting up at a point 50 feet from the rest of the nations, and 25 or so feet from their aircraft. They all stood silently, even the Draconians. Scans would reveal each having an enormous amount of energy within each, and a DNA test would identify each of the 3 types of people as the same Genus, with the only difference being the pattern of DNA.
Ever heard of a perfect character?
They always win in fights, they're really smart and clever, they're good at everything and generally unbeatable. Everything goes their way.

Now look at the Equis Pact. I don't know how many races, but there are many. Do you really think ALL of them will just give up, and surrender control to a bunch of magical talking horses, some with sno-cones on their foreheads?

There should be legitimate underground movements. Political manuevering to get other races into the decision making process.

But nope.
It's all Equestrians.

The Equestrians have tons of powers from all these races that they control, who they don't try very hard to break the control.
They have really damn good weapons.
They have really damn good shields.
They have really damn good spies.
They have really damn good, well, I'd rather not go on.
They even have a goddess that helps them out.

So, are the Equestrians more like a main character of a story, or a perfect character?
o . o
And how would the Equestrians know of it beforehand?
It'd be, again, cheating to conduct perfect negotiations with a race and an entirely different culture before anyone else had ever talked to them.

This is more realistic, but I'm afraid this is about as realistic as it gets. It's sad, I think, because you can't really have all the cultural tension and all that. When one race tries to merge with another race, it wouldn't be seamless, like the Equis Pact or the AIF. There would be so much tension, from language making it hard to communicate, to different celebrations and even different ways to greet people. What may be a greeting to one race may mean nothing to another, or may mean the greatest insult.

And instead of the Equestrian saying, "We're sorry, but we're unfamiliar of your ways, could we have a demonstration of proper verbal interaction?", I just get an OOC saying "You misinterpreted my post's meaning!"

What is the fun of being an entirely different race with entirely different meanings and cultures if it's as if they all have the same basic culture base. We should just all be different human nations, with all the cultural separation and tension there is.
I'm not misinterpreting your posts. It's the characters, the speech.

For Supremes, coming up to someone, giving them a short bow and saying, "We need your help, in any way possible, oh great one!" would be considered extremely disrespectful.

However, if someone were to come up to them, and do this:
They come up to the Supreme, bow from the waist for a moderate period of time, and allow for the Supreme to bow back. Whoever bows first is showing greeting to the person, while bowing deeper than the other is a gesture of respect or admiration.

Once the bowing is done, the person who approached would say,
"Greetings, [honorific title, or name, depending on situation]. I have a request for [that one individual, his clan, his family, his branch of government, military, etc., or species-nation in general] to consider."

Then the Supreme would hesitate for a moment, and respond with something along the lines of, "I'm listening."
And then the person requesting something would go on, laying out what they are requesting, and then a preemptive offering of some kind, whether 10 bars of gold, or a chocolate bar, and then a payment after that. If the payment has yet to be arranged, one says just that.

That is Supremes' social way of requesting something from someone. Knowing that after I just put it in OOC, would, of course, be considered cheating. You'd have to negotiate a deal for a diplomat to stay behind and learn the Supreme ways in order to communicate and negotiate properly with them.
Equestrian Diplomacy
The leading robed figure spoke again.

"Your arrogance. It is... repulsive. You come into our ship, and you expect your ways to take the top. Your ways are not the only ways. You speak respect as we speak respect in our house. We will do the same for you.

But if you ever speak out of turn to one of mine in my house, you will find yourself possibly executed, at the very least cast out of the ship as quickly as possible, regardless if you have a ship or not. Your friends will have a more hospitable kick-out, and your nation will suffer diplomatically. This includes war support. You obviously are not unfamiliar with war, with fleet sizes such as yours, and I don't think you can risk losing another ally in this upcoming war.

So are you going to be arrogant and self-centered, or are you going to wisen up and show some respect?"

2 Supreme Warships 'port near the planet, changing course to gently come into orbit.

10 minutes later, with the warships in orbit and 10 Corvette 5-ship V-formations guarding them, a message is broadcasted.

Universal Supreme representatives wish to conduct face-to-face communications with the people planetside, to overlook and participate in such a conversation. Our kind wish to establish basic relations. Should we be allowed, we will also need guidelines for proper, respectful verbal conversation by the planet's inhabitants, so that we may respect the planet's owners as we wish them to respect us.
False, I can spell better than that, nor have I ever said they are awesome. They simply think themselves as the "Supremes" since the universe was young when they were young.

You say BS every time something blocks your magic, and you go around it, and yet you've got a permanent grudge against Rogue because he did the exact same thing.
You call BS whenever something can block your unexplainable power that is used in everything because you have far too much dependence on it.

From the way I see it, and from what you have said, magic is tied to the presence of Faust, yes? Faust gifts them with magic, and so they can use magic. However, if there is an alternate presence, like that of a Supreme, then it could push Faust's presence from you. It would severe the connection, and you wouldn't control the power.

You are a giant empire, and yet you still call BS whenever something doesn't work the way you want it to. These are, like I said, practically demigods. Omnipresent beings tied to physical forms, and so their omnipresence is only around that physical form, that physical anchor. So, if another physical being enters that area which the Supremes' omnipresence stretches to, then the connection with Faust will be gone. In a ship filled with Supremes, there will be no chance of Faust's influence.
