Bio

I have been writing since I was 17 years old. I am now 33 and I've been enjoying life. Writing is a passion just as reading is. My favorite genre is murder/mystery, but I love fantasy and I love action/adventure. I have published a collection of short stories that can be found on Apple Books, Barnes and Nobles, and Kindle. I have a trilogy in the works, the first part scheduled for release this year.

"Actually you did, but you wouldn't be you if you didn't," Caleb said causing Sam to turn and raise an eyebrow. She noticed Ambrose scrambling to put get his clothes together, but in reality, she could care less what Ambrose and Caleb did behind closed doors. They were both consenting adults, but she just wanted to get things done and over with regarding the Leviathan. They'd had enough time to settle back into normalcy as best they could, but now it was time to go after the damned demon and put an end to it. Sam had already seen some weird stuff going on. It had caused her to worry, and she was sure the others had managed to see it as well.

Ambrose sent a text to everyone and she smiled deciding to sit on the edge of Caleb's bed rather than the space Ambrose had made for her. Caleb walked over to him and sat down next to him pulling him close to provide some sort of comfort to him. When everyone arrived, Caleb listened as Ambrose asked the question they'd all been wondering about.

"The headmaster is willing to help, I just need to go and speak with him."

"Caleb have you been taking it easy?" Alex asked looking at him and Ambrose.

"I have," Caleb said avoiding Alex's eyes.

"Right, is that why Ariana saw you in the gym the other day?"

"Okay fine I was training a little bit, just keeping my skills up, that's all. I didn't overdo it or anything," Caleb said glaring at Alex.

"Alex, leave him alone, Caleb knows not to overdo it, besides he wouldn't do anything to upset his boyfriend now would you Caleb?"

Caleb rolled his eyes at Sam and Alex and sighed. "Can we focus please?"

"I say we take the blades, find the damned thing and kill it."

"It can't be too far away, but we need some sort of plan that doesn't involve rushing in blindly," Ariana said.

"I agree, we need to figure out where the demon is, and how we are going to slip in without being noticed."

Caleb turned to Ambrose to check on him during the entire conversation before returning his gaze to the others.
Ambrose had Caleb's undivided attention. He was lost in his eyes, in his scent, in his voice. He couldn't understand how he'd managed to live without someone like Ambrose. The feeling unnerved him slightly, but he relished the closeness. The softness of Ambrose's lips complimented his stunning handsome features. When Ambrose spoke, Caleb ran a finger along Ambrose's face and smiled. He was sure they could waste an entire day just sitting in his room talking and doing what lovers did, but in reality, he was nervous about going there with Ambrose. What if he wasn't adequate enough to fulfill Ambrose's desires?

Nodding, Caleb moved in closer to let the feelings flow freely. Just as things were getting heated between them, a knock came at his door. At first it was soft and Caleb ignored it wanting to enjoy this moment with Ambrose but then he heard her voice and he pulled away and sighed in defiance.

"Caleb Anderson I know you're awake. Why weren't you in class today!"

Caleb looked towards the door and groaned. Sam knew him far too well and it often came to bite him in the ass. "Give me a minute," Caleb said as he looked over at Ambrose. "I'm sorry," he said softly letting his hand find Ambrose's to hold softly. "Can I take you out later though to make up for it? Wherever you wanna go," he added as Sam knocked again.

"It's been a minute Caleb. Get dressed and tell Ambrose to get dressed as well. We've been waiting on you two for the longest, and don't you dare say he's not in there, we already know so pry yourselves apart and come on."

"Sam we might as well have the meeting here, no one ever comes to Caleb's dorm but Ambrose or the headmaster."

Sam sighed and nodded. "Let the others know."

Caleb placed a soft kiss on Ambrose's cheek and moved over to the door. He opened it and watched as Sam walked in. "Nice to see you too," Caleb said.

"Well since you didn't return my many text I was worried," she said her eyes landing on Ambrose and a smirk forming on her face. "Did I interrupt something?"
Their relationship was making progress. Caleb knew now that their relationship was making progress because not only were they more comfortable around each other, but Ambrose seemed to have let some of his guards down. He even mentioned that he trusted Caleb and that meant a lot to the hopeless romantic. Caleb had let some of his guards down as well and was working on changing for the better. He didn't want Ambrose to always have the image of him being a monster destroying and moving on. He wanted Ambrose to see the side of him that was gentle, that was caring and loving. He wanted Ambrose to feel protected, to know that Caleb would do all he could to make sure Ambrose had a wonderful time during his time at BlackBrick Academy. To do that, he had to fulfill one last obligation, and that was one of the hardest. He had to banish a demon. It wasn't every day one banished a demon with the seven holy blades. There were steps that needed to be taken, precautionary measures and a lot of other stuff. He imagined that was the reason Sam wanted to meet so they could actually figure out how to address the issue.

Caleb was in thought when Ambrose pulled him into a deep passionate kiss. He'd closed his eyes enjoying the closeness, the affection, the softness of Ambrose's lips against his own. The smell of Ambrose's hair, the soft cologne he wore. The kiss deepened, and Caleb's hand found its way to Ambrose's waist as he pulled him closer wanting the kiss to continue, but sadly Ambrose broke it and asked him a question. Caleb smiled and seductively crawled over to Ambrose on the couch.

"It depends on how long you're willing to let them wait," Caleb said as he slowly kissed Ambrose's neck, leaving a trail up to his partner's jawline before allowing his lips to press softly against Ambrose's.
Caleb seemed to relax as soon as he was next to Ambrose. Despite everything they'd been through, they still had more to go through before all of this could be put behind them. He just wanted some level of normalcy in his life, but was it possible when he had the past no normal human could possibly have? He was lucky to find calm in the midst of the storm with Ambrose. He was lucky that Ambrose was able to keep him level and planted. He felt Ambrose's arm and he felt Ambrose get closer. It was calming to him and he was relaxed more so now then when Ambrose first arrived. The thought of the meeting loomed on the edge of his mind but as of that moment, he was enjoying the alone time with his boyfriend. It came so short and yet when it came he relished in it.

"You're not going to bother me if you decide to come over and crash. You know the pin code to get in, hell waking up with you beside me would be a beautiful change in scenery," Caleb admitted as his partner pulled him close talking about the issue at hand, and how he didn't want to get involved just yet. He wanted to relax just as much as Caleb did and he smiled. "Trust me, I won't let anything happen to you, I will keep you safe. You gotta have faith baby," Caleb said as he reached up and brushed his thumb gently against Ambrose's cheek looking into his eyes. "Can you have faith in me, in us to do what we have to do? We're going to make it out of this, but for now, just relax, just enjoy this and we can think about the rest later, okay?"

He looked into Ambrose' eyes and became the beacon of strength. He wanted to show strength to his boyfriend so that he could lean on him and put his trust in him.
Caleb was in the bathroom finishing up his last minute personal care. His regiment wasn’t overly extensive but he could hear Ambrose speaking to him and he called out from the bathroom answering his questions.

“That sounds good. You should relax and decompress from clases,” Caleb said as he finished and started getting dressed. His outfit was more on the minimalist side of things. He wore a black shirt and black skinny jeans with holes around the knee on both legs. His hair was combed but nothing fancy or over the top. He had taken a more relaxed approach to his image lately and he liked it but he hoped Ambrose didn’t mind. He did managed to put on a cuff around his wrist and earrings before walking out of the bathroom to hear Ambrose ask if he was ready.

“Yea yea I’m dressed,” Caleb said as he slid in next to Ambrose. “You okay? You know you can crash here anytime right?”
He had barely stretched when a new message came through his phone, then another, followed by one more. He groaned as he flipped through them on his phone reading each. Sam. Ariana. Alex. They had each text him asking if he was alright. It wasn't like him to miss class and he knew they were probably worried sick, especially Sam. He spent the most time replying to the messages. He knew Ambrose had to be in class, but he figured he'd be asleep at some point. He had to admit, he was glad he opened up to the possibilities of a relationship with Ambrose and even though they still had work to do, he was glad that Ambrose had given it a chance with him. He thought about the date, the time they'd spent together and he smiled warmly as he removed the blankets from his body. Sweat covered his body and he moaned not wanting to get up but definitely not wanting to stay in bed sweaty.

Sliding out of bed he made his way to the bathroom to shower and shave his normal daily routine. The shower helped him clear his mind as he thought on how best to approach the situation of defeating a demon. It would take them all to find the damned thing and then they'd have to use the blades to actually kill it. What was he getting himself into? He ran a wet hand through his hair and let the water cascade over him. Grabbing a towel, he dried off and wrapped the towel around his waist, low on his waist. He was in the middle of applying facial cleanser when a knock came at his room door. He moved towards it, not paying attention to the fact that he was half naked, body glistening due to the beads of water that he'd missed. He opened the door and smiled when he saw Ambrose standing there.

"Hey what's up?" he said beckoning Ambrose in. "I'm just finishing up, make yourself at home," he added as he leaned forward and kissed Ambrose first on the cheek, but then on the lips as if gauging how he'd react. A soft blush had formed on Caleb's face as he rushed off to get dressed. "Give me ten minutes," he called from the bathroom.
He remembered passing out but he for sure thought that they'd die, that he wouldn't wake up, but as his eyes slowly opened, he noticed Ambrose standing by the window. Groaning, he turned and immediately passed out from the medication they had him under. An IV was hooked to him and it was pumping him full of antibiotics to fight whatever traces of bacteria the bite may have had along with the anticoagulant. Thankfully he would live, at least that is what the nurse told Ambrose every time she came in to check on him. She had advised the young man that he could go back to his room to get some rest and that she would notify him if Caleb woke up.

Sam, Ariana, Jeremy, and Alex took the knife to place it with the others and as they looked at them they could see why such blades could kill any creature. They could feel an aura of power surrounding each blade. Now came the task of finding the demon who'd been very quiet over the course of everything happening. Sam was still traumatized regarding the near-death experience. Whenever she closed her eyes she could hear the gnashing of teeth and the screeching. However, the school tried to return to normal even with a demon on the loose. After healing up, Caleb received an earful from the nurse. She exclaimed to him that she was tired of seeing him in the infirmary and that she would rather not see any of them any time soon. She meant it jokingly and Caleb understood what she meant. He had spent a lot of time in the infirmary against his own wishes, but when you throw yourself into different scenarios there's bound to be consequences. Nonetheless, Caleb kept his promise to Ambrose and found time to take him on a date. He took him to a museum and bought him beautiful flowers and a painting that Ambrose picked out reluctantly. Caleb did his best not to make Ambrose uncomfortable.

Another body was eventually found two days after they'd collected the blades. The headmaster knew it to be one of the janitors this time whose death was sudden and unnerved most of the school.

"Have you heard from Caleb?" Ariana asked Sam as they sat in their usual meeting spot in the library.

"I went to check on him. He's alright," Sam said looking over at Alex who smirked.

"Of course he's alright, as soon as he got out of the infirmary he took Ambrose on a date."

"Really?" Sam asked.

"Yep, a friend of mine saw them together at an art museum in town."

"Well at least they're happy," Sam said.

Caleb rolled over in bed groaning from the fact that he'd overslept and missed his classes. His phone was full of notifications. Running a hand through his hair, he yawned and sat up in bed.
It was bad. They had trouble in all directions. The seal that kept the alternates at bay had broken, and the Omnisis was shortening the distance between them. Caleb felt the heaviness in his chest get heavier and he could hardly breathe. His vision was blurred and he shook his head as they ran down the tunnels, the hissing and footsteps deafening in the once silent realm. He could hear them talking, he could hear Ambrose telling them to be ready. He could hear Alex objecting to everything and trying to figure out how they would make it, and he could hear Sam panicking while hoping they'd make it out of this alive. She had so much to do, so much to live for

Caleb slid to a halt his hands ablaze with magical energy. They had no choice, he had to perform it now or they'd be eaten alive or consumed by the Omnisis. He moved swiftly even though his vision was blurred and pain coursed through his body. As soon as he produced the portal, his body shook visibly and he collapsed, but Alex caught him just in time.

"Everyone get through NOW!" Alex yelled as he pushed Ariana through and looked at Ambrose who held the knife. Just as the portal was produced, the alternates came into view and were scurrying towards them, their faces deformed like vile creatures ready to consume them. Sam looked at Jeremy and sighed as she produced a shield that created a barrier between them and the alternates. The Omnisis was close at hand and Alex glared. "COME ON SAM, JEREMY!" he yelled holding Caleb in his arms. He beckoned for Ambrose to go through.

"Go I got this," Sam said to Jeremy as she continued to hold the barrier as the alternates clawed and screeched. The Omnisis screech grew louder and Sam's eyes widened. Alex looked at Sam and shook his head. He wanted to object, to tell her to go through. He shoved Caleb into Jeremy's arms and pushed both Jeremy and Ambrose through the portal. Grabbing Sam he lunged with her in his arms just as the portal closed and the Omnisis came into view. Alex was panting and Sam shivered. They'd come so close to death it was unbelievable.

Alex quickly stood up grabbing Sam to help her up and Ariana. "Get Caleb to the infirmary."
This is unique.... I would like to be a part of it.
It was getting increasingly heavy in the tunnels. The last blade would prove to be the most difficult. Caleb struggled to breathe, but he pressed on because he had a duty to his friends and his school to protect, and he wouldn't let that damn Leviathan stay at large. As they neared it, his mind flashed to all the things he wanted to do when this was over. All the moments he wanted to make reality, but first, he needed to make sure they retrieved the blade and returned safely. He had to stay awake regardless of how heavy his chest was, regardless of how light-headed he felt, he owed them, they were his friends and one day he would have to tell them the truth of his origins.

Ambrose had moved into the room and Caleb had stepped up watching and ready to step in if necessary. It was cold. Why was it so cold? Caleb's mind started piecing things together. It was unnaturally quiet in this place and unnaturally cold. When Ambrose grabbed the blade, Caleb's eyes widened. From the shadows, a creature with no face emerged. Reality warped around it to the point that it was hard to look at it, but he did.

"AMBROSE!" Caleb yelled indicating for him to move. "EVERYONE BACK THE WAY WE CAME!"

"Oh God, what is that?" Sam asked.

"Omnisis, a creature of dark intent. Legends surround it but I have never seen one until now," Caleb said as he ushered everyone into the tunnel. The creature's deafening screech made him clutch his ears. "Keep going," he said knowing how fast the creature of legend could be. "Ambrose, do you have it?" Caleb asked making sure Ambrose was still holding the blade as they all ran down the tunnels.
