”Honestly even Aurora wasn’t as stuck up as little Ms. Cedar Grove is. "Maile doesn’t go out of her way to avoid Alyssa but she doesn’t go looking for her either, sure she wasn’t as fake as the other pageant girls littering the town but her genuine desire to be good and help everyone isn’t the sorceress’ style. Something about the girl seem off to her, and she isn’t interested enough to find out what. She’d begrudgingly admit to being the barest of acquaintances with the curious little cat.

"I’d say he needs a drink, but he usually has a few. I wonder what’s got him so wound tight?"Mal is curious about Marlin, as another magic user, she find his need to mother and help everyone else annoying but she won’t begrudging him over it. He comes into her bar often enough with friends, she makes sure to at least get him to drink one glass of water. She writes it off saying she does it to all her patrons, but more so she recognizes the signs of using and knows how much dehydration can affect people. She wouldn’t mind becoming friends with him, if the opportunity arises.

"Oh him? Yeah, I’ve had to kick out a few times after last call. He’s a bit slimy that one, but he tips well."Mal would love to just place a good hex on him just once, when he’s sober she can handle his haughty and holier-than-thou persona having dealt with that from her father and brother. It’s when drunk and try to flirt with all of her patrons that she finds him annoying, it be one thing if he could do it harmlessly but she’s not sure he knows when to stop. She wouldn’t waste her breath calling him a friend, but she doesn’t harbor any deep dislike for the man.

"A bit of a charmer, from what I’ve heard. Haven’t dealt with him much personally."Mal has only heard of Alden in passing, not one to spend her time with the popular crowd of Cedar Grove. She has heard the rumor that he is a slut though, and that had drawn a laugh from her. Besides that she assumes he’s like the rest, goody two-shoed and always happy.

"Hmm, has that idiot gotten into trouble again? He’s not as charming as he looks, it be better if he didn’t talk."Anything Maile has to say about Robin is done with a smirk, and often filled with sarcasm. She’s had her run in with the resident bad boy, and generally comes out of the encounter no worse for wear. She respects the man’s business, and on occasion will offer him a free drink for any interesting rumors. She won’t admit if they’re friends or not, merely shrugging smirking before telling the asker to either buy a drink or get out.

"He’s a bit strange for a beggar. Kind, and compassion isn’t something you’d expect."As much as Mal dislikes people who try to do nothing but be good she can’t bring herself to hate the man. The fact that he’s a genuine man sets her on edge, triggering her fear of intimacy so she doesn’t seek him out. If she seems him she might through him some spare cash or something that could help ease his burden. She doesn’t know if she doesn’t it out of guilt or if she actually cares.

"She reminds me of a force of nature, the way she can sweep in and out leaving everyone reeling. "Maile wouldn’t admit to having a slight crush on the woman, she admires the fluidity of Saara’s motions and her way to charm coin purses from those around her. In the few times they’ve spoken she was pleased to find out that the woman was sharp enough to keep up with her wit, and didn’t seem to mind Mal’s harmless flirting.

"He’s a complete busy-body, always pushing his way in like an eager puppy looking for praise and acceptance."Mailie has little patience for Tarrant, often waving him off followed by a barb of scorn displeased that the man just takes in stride and writes it off as part of her personality. The meaner she is to him, the more he tries to be friends with her. Begrudgingly she might admit that his company isn’t the worst.

"She’s like a chick that’s just hatch, and isn’t aware of the world yet. It’s kinda of cute."Amara’s blunt and strange nature has caught Mal’s interest, and at times she’ll go out of her way to watch the girl’s interactions with others. The swings from moody to mocking, and the new found talent in manipulating people reminds Mal of herself on some levels, but the sorceress hasn’t been able to bring herself to talk to the genie.

"It’s rather strange that her and Chloe are siblings, but I guess she’s not so bad. Just a little too bubbly at times."Mal is kind enough to the young girl, well as kind as she can be given she’s been branded an evil sorceress by most of the older Vale that made the Passage. She shares a love of sweets with the girl, and occasionally be found sharing a pack of cookies or candy with the redhead. On even rare occasions she’s offered to take the girl out for ice cream, though if you ask she’s just using the girl to keep from looking strange by herself in the shop.

"She’s as likely to spit fire as she is to hug you. She bounces around as much as her sister does."Maile like’s both siblings well enough but prefers the older one, even if she’s underage by mortal law Mal has no issue serving the young woman a drink much to the chagrin of the law abiding Vales. She enjoys that Chloe can keep up with her and even exchange flirts with her on occasion. She’s aware that she’s keeping her so-called friend at arm’s length.

"I had a king for a father, I don’t need another one."If there was one person who annoyed Mal the most in Cedar Grove, it would be Mr. I Used To Be a King himself. His berating attitude and need to place everyone under him often causes arguments between the two. He makes her want to act out and push all his buttons, she’s even gone so far to suggest the lady of the lake was probably tired of his childish attitude and only gave him the sword to make him shut up. There was a raspberry filled chocolate bar on his desk later that day, not that she’d admit she sent it. If he would tone back his attitude Mal wouldn’t pay him so much attention.

"She’s a sly one, you never really know what she’s thinking."Mal and Piper are friends of sorts. She enjoys the woman’s company and will go out of her way to approach her should she need a reason to kill time. They hang out and have fun, but it goes little beyond that. She sometimes joins in with Pipers antics and mischief but never lets her guard down low enough to allow anything to become of it.
