Hey there, I'm Wolvena!
So, after being away from the roleplay world for a while, I'm ready to jump back in. I don't do many 1 on 1's because I tend to struggle to keep it going after a little bit. I normally go with group rps on the smaller side, just because I tend to get a bit lost in larger ones. My go-to genres are animal(mostly wolves), anime, sci-fi, and fantasy, though I'm always up to give something new a try.

As Esme sat in the truck, she watched the interaction between Duke and Mika. A slight smile came to her lips as she watched Duke hug Mika and spin her around before setting her back on the ground. Being in the truck and starting to zone out, she heard little of what they said between them. She knew Duke must have mentioned something about her because Mika glanced at the truck and at her. Esme saw the worry on her face before her and Duke looked up at Dean as he came out of the room, and the small smile she had faded. She knew that Mika’s worry was about Dean and how he would react to the state she was in. It made her sigh heavily as she watched the three interact outside the truck. After she saw Duke and Dean hug, she sighed once again and turned her head to stare at the dash of the truck.

Even though she was zoning out, the feelings and thoughts she had pushed down about Mika were starting to bubble to the surface again. Esme knew Dean would be worried about the state she was in. It was only natural with the history they had. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily again, hoping that with Duke there, it would help ease things a bit. Duke had already offered to patch and clean her up, which should relieve some of the worry Mika felt about Dean wanting to take care of her. Though it made her wonder yet again, why in the hell she promised Dean she would stick around after the total fiasco with Cupid and the tension it brought with it between her and Mika. Then again, it was always hard to say no to him when he pleaded with her, and not to mention him saying he didn’t want to lose her again. Closing her eyes tighter, she brought a hand up and carefully felt around her chest for the necklace she always wore.

When she didn’t feel it, she moved her hand up more, finally feeling it on her neck. The demons had pulled it to lie on her back, so it was out of the way. Fiddling with it, she pulled it back to the front and held onto the charm made of wire. It was the necklace Dean had made and given her all those years ago. Even though they weren’t together anymore and wouldn’t be again, it brought her comfort in times like these. Duke pulled from her thoughts and self-comforting when he opened the door, causing her to jump and her eyes fly open. When Duke leaned over her and unbuckled her seatbelt, she relaxed a bit and stayed still as he put a hand under her legs and around her lower back, then into his arms. At Duke’s words, she smiled softy and relaxed into his arms and chest, still holding onto the charm of the necklace. “I know we are.” she replied as he smiled down at her.

Esme’s eyes then went to Dean as he came into view, holding the room key and a note. When Dean looked at her, she could see the worry on his face as he looked at her appearance. She tried to give him a look that said, “I’ll be alright. Don’t look so worried.” before he shook his head and ran to open the door to her and Duke’s room. As Duke carried her to their room, she couldn’t help but wonder where Cason was. She figured he would have been the first to the truck when they pulled into the parking lot, not Mika. Which made her think he’d gone off somewhere to possibly think, get her car, or he let his guilt over what happened to her get the better of him and went to handle things. There was really no telling with him. She came out of her thoughts as Duke stepped over the threshold with her and spoke to Dean and Mika. She turned her head to take in the room, then noticed the single bed in the room as Duke carried her over to it.

She knew that once she was feeling a little better, he’d more than likely have a joke or flirty remark to throw at her about it. Esme winced slightly when Duke carefully lowered her to the mattress. It was then she let go of the necklace so she could steady herself as she sat there. When he cradled her face in his hands, she looked up and met his gaze, knowing this was his way of making sure she heard what he said. A smile came to her lips as she listened to him. He hadn’t changed a bit from what she could tell. He would always ask before he did something that could make her uncomfortable, and it was clear he never wanted to do that. Even though he’d flirt with her, he had always been respectful to her and it was just one of the things she loved about him. She then lifted a hand and placed it on his arm, a smile still resting on her lips. “Yes, that’s okay…... You and I both know it’d be a job if I tried to take care of all this on my own.”

She trusted him and it’s not like this would be the first time he’s seen her partially dressed or even naked. Most of those times were all because of bad timing on his part, but some were because he had to help Dean patch her up. Still holding his gaze, she gave his arm a small squeeze. “A bath afterward sounds heavenly.” she added, her smile growing a bit. Even if the water didn’t get too hot, it would be nice to just sit and relax in the bath, which was something she hadn’t done in some time. Esme then dropped her gaze from his, a smirk coming to her lips followed by a light laugh. “It’s almost like old times, isn’t it?” she questioned, her tone warm.

Duke’s flinch to Esme’s voice breaking the silence didn’t go unnoticed to her. It was clear to her that she had pulled him from deep thought and from a possible memory. When he furrowed his brow at her fading smile, it took her a little by surprise, not expecting it to affect him in such a way. It was a serious question in her mind and the way it made her feel stole her smile, and she wasn’t sure he would even answer the question. She watched Duke as he shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the road before giving a short answer, making her think that was all he was going to say until he glanced back at her. She watched and listened to him intently as he spoke about seeing signs everywhere that led to fate, this caused her eyebrows to raise in interest as he continued. As he spoke about the husky and its demeanor, and how it reminded him of her because it looked like a wolf, her soft smile returned at the thought of the husky making him think of her.

She was going to say something in response but stopped herself as she took in his actions, seeing that he was encouraging himself to keep speaking. So she remained quiet as to not stop him and only nodded, her smile growing a bit more as he began to speak once again. Esme took what he said and how the next sign presented itself to him, her smile fading a bit as he said he realized he didn’t want to go alone even though it would have been a blast and has been obsessed since he was a kid. Then he turned to her once again, smiling and tilting his head to the side, the action and his next words got her, causing her to tear up as she remembered them talking about it. When Duke turned his attention back to the road, she looked away, bringing a hand up to quickly wipe away the tears that had escaped her eye as she heard the little scoff escape his chest.

It was saddening to hear that he had gotten so close to fulfilling the dream but didn’t because signs of fate got in the way that made him not want to go alone. Yet it was sweet hearing him say that it was their little pipe dream adventure, and it warmed her heart that he had remembered that it was their dream. Closing her eyes briefly, she wiped away a few more tears that rolled down her cheek. Esme looked out the window with a small sniffle, watching the motel come into view. As the truck dove over the lip of the pavement, she winced a little from the slight jolt it gave the truck, then watched as Dean’s Impala came into view as Duke parked next to it. As she turned her head back slightly, she wiped away a few more tears that worked themselves free from her eye. She remained quiet, not knowing what to say after hearing Duke talk about not going through with the trip.

Esme just barely noticing Mika run out of her room towards the truck. When Mika’s form registered with her, she watched as she waited for Duke to leave the truck and throw her arms around him in a hug, almost bowling him over. It was almost strange seeing this side of Mika even though Esme knew she had a softer side.

When Duke met Esme’s gaze, she held it, her smile growing along with his when she used his nickname. His smile was still contagious after all this time. With her head still rested on his shoulder, she listened as he spoke and he looked up at his truck. She nodded softly to his words, being able to relate to what he had been doing all this time. She had been trying to stay out of it for the most part, but she still had her unfinished business and couldn’t fully pull out of the hunter’s life until she took care of it. At his statement and chuckle, a soft laugh escaped her as if she were being called out as he adjusted his grip and opened the truck door. She had missed him, she couldn’t lie to herself about that. She hadn’t realized how much she’d missed him until now. She had missed his laugh, his smile, the warmth in his tone when he spoke to her, and those beautiful blue eyes that always smiled and had a sparkle in them.

“Of course I missed you.” Esme said softly as he swung the door open more and sat her in the seat. “I hope y…….” She trailed off when he brought a hand up and brushed her hair from her face and smoothed it behind her ears before gently running his fingers over the bruise over her eye. The softness from the simple action caused her breath to catch and her gaze to drop, then lifted her gaze back to his as he spoke. “Sounds good.” she replied as she returned his smile. As he stared at her and scanned her eyes, she once again became lost in his eyes until he pulled back from her. She quickly blinked her eyes and slowly released the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding as he pulled the seatbelt across her body and clicked it into place, then put moved the strap behind her to keep it from hurting her injured shoulder, a smile coming to her lips as he did. “Thank you.” she said warmly.

After he shut the door, she watched him as he made his way around the truck, opened the door, and got in. After starting the truck and pulling out of the parking lot, Esme looked out the windshield of Duke’s truck, her mind becoming a tangled mess of thoughts and memories. She was still having trouble wrapping her head around the fact that Duke was actually there and had been the one to pull her and Cason out of the demon situation. Not to mention, she had met back up with Dean not that long ago after hearing he was alive. Two people she cared about most had come back into her life only days apart from each other. There was no way someone could plan for this to happen. It made her head spin. Closing her eyes and loosely crossing her arms over her stomach, she took a couple of deep breaths in through her nose, slowly letting them leave her mouth to clear her thoughts.

Leaning her head back, Esme opened her eyes and tilted her head to the side to look at Duke as he drove them to the motel. There was so much she wanted to ask him she hardly knew what to ask him first as she sat there looking at him. Then it came to her, a question that had been burning in her mind for a while after she had lost contact with him. She almost felt bad for asking, but she truly wanted to know. The smile that had been on her lips faded as she looked over at Duke, the question burning in her mind. “You said you were trying not to go back down this road.” she started softly. She fell silent for a moment, trying to find her words. “Were you……” A sigh escaped her nose as she paused again and closed her eyes. “Were you able to stay out long enough to……” She paused once more and opened her eyes to look at him again. “To fulfill that dream you told me about?” She really hoped he had or was at least close to fulfilling it.

When Cason cut the ropes from Esme’s wrists, she carefully lifted them from the chair and rubbed them with her hands as she brought them close to her. She was about to say something to Cason to answer him about pulling the knife from her leg when she saw Duke turn and look at her with raised eyebrows. She couldn’t stop the small smile that came to her lips as she saw him realize he knew her, and watched him as he bolted over and stood next to her. With some effort, she lifted her chin from Cason’s hand to look up at Duke as he spoke. A small laugh escaped her at his first few words. “It has been forever.” she agreed. She had to admit it surprised her he was here and was the one that helped them with the demons. The last she heard, he had up and fallen out of touch with everyone. When she saw his eyes go to the knife in her thigh, she knew he was going to want to take over even before he shoved Cason out of the way.

A smile came to her lips at him calling her Babydoll, just like it did back then. She could never keep from smiling at the nickname he’d given her. “That we have.” she replied as her gaze followed him. As her head dropped to look at him, her hair fell over the right side of her face, covering her swollen eye and cheek. Esme watched as he settled in front of her and pulled a bandana from his pocket. When he looked up and met eyes with her, she held his gaze as he took his hat off and placed it on the ground, then couldn’t help but smile and lightly laugh as he did at his words. “Beautiful?” she softly questioned with a laugh in her tone. She knew she looked rough and far from beautiful at that moment from having her face bashed against her car and punched. Though she knew he was trying to distract her from him maneuvering the bandana under her leg.

“I know I look….. Awful. You can say it, it won’t hurt my feelings.” she smiled as he brought the ends of the bandana up on her thigh. When Duke brought up a case in Vegas, she gave a small laugh, closed her eye, and shook her head softly. “How could I forget? That definitely turned into something we weren’t expecting.” she said as she opened her eye and met his gaze again. She was going to say more when he asked her to look at him and they were going to play the game they played while he removed the bullet she took for him. “Alright.” she said with a nod, holding his gaze. After all this time, it was still so easy to get lost in his blue eyes and have everything drowned out around her. She carefully adjusted herself in the chair and waited for Duke to start the game, his sigh showing he was about to start. As he spoke the colors, she repeated, feeling the bandana get tighter as each color left their mouths.

When Duke said “Pink.” and pulled the bandana tight, Esme took in a sharp breath. Her head dropped a bit as a groan left her lips, then breathed deeply through the pain to collect herself. As she lifted her head back up, she saw Duke removing his shirt and watched as he brought it down to her thigh, then grab the knife. At his words, her gaze lifted from the knife and back to his as his hand came to her cheek to cradle it. She had just taken a deep breath and held it when he pulled the knife from her thigh, another groan leaving her as it left her thigh. She didn’t release the breath until she heard the knife hit the ground and Duke spoke once again. “Still as smooth as ever.” she said softly as Duke tied his shirt around her thigh. She tilted her head to the side for a moment to collect herself. Her gaze followed him once again when he stood and slid his arm under her legs carefully, then lifted her head as he wrapped his other arm around her back.

Esme carefully leaned over the chair arm with a wince and picked his hat up off the floor before Duke picked her up, causing her to wince again. She would have protested against being carried but knew she wouldn’t have been able to walk out on her own. So, she did the only thing she could do, relax into his arms as he cradled her to his chest while walking to the door. She was about to rest her head against him when she heard Cason call out to Duke on where they were going. She looked up as Duke answered and was going to say something as well, but by the time she worked up the energy to make her voice heard, Cason disappeared from the room. Sighing heavily, she placed Duke’s hat on his head with a warm smile, then rested her head against him as he carried her out of the room. It was almost funny how it felt like no time had passed between them, even if it had been years.

She didn’t feel any tension like she had when meeting back up with Dean. It was nothing but calm, even with the state she was in. Just like he used to, he swooped in and help her with her injuries as if they were nothing and this made her smile grow. Tilting her back to look at him once more. She had to wonder if he had kept up with anything involving the Winchesters. Esme decided against asking, knowing it would all come to light soon when they all met up. “So, Bright Eyes.” she started in a soft and warm tone. “Where have you been all this time? You just…... Kinda dropped off the map. I’ve been thinking the worst.” While waiting for his answer, she took in the features of his face, noticing how much more defined they had become over the years. It was also hard not to notice how more muscular he’d become while being carried in his arms. They were way more defined they were the last time he had to carry her when she couldn’t walk out of a situation they had gotten into.

Esme watched the blowtorch as the demon moved it closer and closer to her chest, slowly feeling the heat from the flame get hotter and hotter. As she stared at the flame of the torch, she could hear Cason screaming and pleading with the demons. It was at that moment she could truly see how he felt about her, that everything leading up to this point had been genuine. It was almost funny it took this moment for her to truly see his feelings for her, and she would have laughed at herself if she wasn’t being tortured by a demon while tied to a chair. She gritted her teeth and whimpered as she felt her skin burning and heard what the demon with Cason said. They really wanted to get to Cason by having her scream in pain. She had come across some determined demons, but never this determined to have someone scream out in pain.

When the flame finally touched her skin, she took in a sharp breath through her gritted teeth as she pressed herself back into the chair, a growl escaping her that slowly went up in pitch. Though before it could become a full-out scream, the demon pulled back the flame with a gasp. Esme’s good eye darted to the demon when she heard the squish and the torch hit the floor. Her eyebrows went up in surprise as her eye landed on the demon’s face. When he let go of her hair to bring his hands to his face, she brought her head forward in a more comfortable position and took in the screwdriver sticking out of the demon’s eye socket, with salt and holy water dripping from its handle. Her eye then darted to the other demon as he spoke to who had just stabbed his partner before he smoked out like a coward. She then looked at the man that had shown up, who was clearly a hunter but couldn’t tell who they were from the back.

She could make out blonde hair beneath his black cowboy hat and that he was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. Esme let her head drop, not being able to hold it up any longer from feeling weak. She breathed deeply and slowly to calm her breathing as she listened to the other demon smoke out and to Cason speak to the man as he untied him, but the man didn’t speak until Cason mentioned he was a demon and couldn’t leave the devil’s trap. The voice she heard, with the deep southern accent, sounded very familiar to her. It was one she hadn’t heard in quite some time. She tried to lift her head to look, but couldn’t quite manage it. Even as Cason spoke to him, she was still trying to place the voice. Then it hit her just as she heard his boot scraping the paint from the floor. A weak smile came to her lips. The smile faded as she heard Cason run to her once he was free. She first saw his feet as she stopped in front of her, then the rest of him as he knelt down and lifted her chin, flinching a bit at his touch.

Esme looked at Cason a moment with her good eye before giving a weak smile at his words, followed by a heavy sigh. “So, which one of us is to blame for this trouble we got into?” she joked in a soft tone with a small laugh. As she laughed, she winced a bit as she felt pain rush through her. Lifting her gaze over Cason’s head, she looked at the cowboy who had just helped them, a weak smile on her lips. “Hey, Duke.” she said in the same soft tone she had spoken to Cason in. “Long time no see.” She fell silent as she watched Duke, taking in what she could of him with her good eye. After all this time, he was still as handsome as ever, and from what she could tell, had gained more muscle. “Thanks for helping us.” she finally added. Taking a deep breath, she groaned in pain as her gaze dropped and realized she was still gripping the arms of the chair. She forced her hands and fingers to relax and closed her eye, suddenly feeling more tired than ever as she felt herself coming down from everything.

As she sat there, her chin still resting in Cason’s hand, Esme waited for him to untie her from the chair and remove the knife from her thigh. A memory of Duke and Dean made its way into her mind while she sat there. It was of a time the three of them had gotten together at a bar after a case involving a Shapeshifter, to have a drink and unwind. It was as if it had only happened yesterday as it played out in her mind. She had taken turns dancing with both on the dance floor and did a little karaoke as well. As they drank and threw playful jabs at each other, Duke kept trying to turn Esme’s eye from Dean to him all in good fun, asking her why she was with Dean instead of him since he was better looking than Dean. A strong shiver pulled her from the memory before she could finish it. Wincing from the pain that followed, she opened her eye to look at the two men, another shiver overtaking her, followed by her whole body shaking.

“What do you two say we blow this popsicle stand before more decide to show up and finish what they started?” Esme asked weakly, her voice shaky. She didn’t want to hang around this place any longer than they had to, and she knew they needed to meet up with the others, figuring they must be wondering where they were. She and Cason should have arrived before they did since they left Bobby’s place first to get a head start. Esme then lifted her gaze and focused on Duke the best she could. “I have to wonder, though. Out of all the people that could have come across this place, how the hell did it end up being you?” she asked him in the same voice with a small laugh.

Esme heard little of the conversation going on between Cason and the other demon. The demon working her over had her full attention, but she heard the comment about her being a pet just before the knife was driven into her shoulder. “I’m no one's pet.” she whispered as Cason spoke, then had the holy water thrown down his throat. She lifted her gaze more, wincing as Cason cried out in pain. She looked at him as he choked and coughed, then at the demon at his side as he gave the word to continue. Before she could look back at the demon working her over, he thumped the handle of the knife in her shoulder. Her eyes closed as she groaned in pain as the knife went deeper into her shoulder. At the demon’s next words, she gritted her teeth and had a retort ready, but he took the knife and wiggled it before she could get the words out. The action caused a small whimper to escape her.

When the demon wiggled the knife again, Esme closed her eyes tighter as a growl like sound escaped her through gritted teeth instead of a groan. Her fingernails dug into the arm of the chair from the searing pain in her shoulder. After a moment, she opened her eyes and looked up at the demon, her blue eyes burning with hatred for the man. “As I said….. It won’t be easy…… Getting me to scream.” she breathed with a small laugh. Little did the demon know, this wasn’t the first time she had been taken, held captive, and tortured. So far, what he had done hadn’t come close to what she had endured during that torture session. The demon smirked at her words, as if accepting the challenge once again, then brought his face to eye level, watching as her eyes followed him. The hate burning in her eyes driving him on to complete the challenge she had given him.

The demon then leaned in, putting his lips close to her ear to whisper to her once again. “I’ll get you to scream, Blondie. I’ll get one from you one way or another.” he cooed softly. Esme tried to calm her breathing as the demon spoke in her ear and watched him as he pulled away. As he pulled away, she readied herself by pulling her head back away from his. As soon as she saw his face, she brought her head forward, smashing it into his face with as much force as she could. His howl of pain caused a smirk to appear on her face. She watched him stagger backwards as he held his now bleeding nose with his right hand. “You little bitch!” he hissed as he balled his left fist. Drawing back his fist, he swung it towards Esme and it connected with her bruised right cheek, forcing her head to the side as a growl like groan escaped her lips followed by a moan from the pain shooting through that side of her face. She knew the force of the punch did some damage.

The demon stepped forward and to Esme’s side, then took her by the hair on the back of her head and yanked it back roughly, causing the back of her head to connect with the chair and a hiss of pain to leave her. His right hand fell from his bleeding nose to reveal a glare as he stared her down. “You’ll pay for that, Blondie!” he sneered. Taking hold of the knife with his right hand, he pulled it roughly from her shoulder, grinning at her gasp and groan of pain as it left her shoulder before he brought it down and embedded it within her left thigh. This almost brough forth a scream from her but she held it back and made it into a growl, then she began to laugh as she looked at him, her right eye closed from the pain shooting through it and from her cheek swelling. “You Asshats don’t have a clue what you’re in for.” she laughed, sounding as if she was delirious.

“Is that so?” he sneered as he let go of her hair. The demon then punched Esme in the gut, knocking the wind from her and causing her to double over. She coughed and gasped for air as he left her side and walked over to a table nearby. He scanned the table, looking for the perfect tool to use next, his hand hovering over each one he looked at. When his eyes landed on the perfect one, he smiled maniacally as he laid his hand on it. Lifting it from the table, he turned back to look at Esme, who had finally received from her punch to the gut. As he walked towards her, she lifted her head to see he had chosen a blow torch as his next tool. She knew there was no way to hold back a scream if he torched her skin. Once back at her side, he turned the knob on the blowtorch, then pulled a lighter from his pocket and lit it, then adjusted the flame before putting the lighter away.

Esme looked at the blowtorch in his left hand, then at the demon as he continued to smile maniacally at her. She then prepared herself the best she could as her eye went back to the blowtorch. He grabbed her by the hair once again and pulled her head back roughly. “Now the real fun begins.” he told her as he inched the blowtorch towards her. She watched as the demon slowly inched the blowtorch towards her chest, her nails digging into the chair once more as she waited for the flame to burn the skin on her chest and bring forth the scream she had been holding in all this time. The other demon noticed Cason had looked away from Esme and his partner. Taking hold of Cason’s face, he turned it to make him watch as his partner continued to carry out his torture on Esme. “Open your eyes before I pry them open and use toothpicks to keep them open. You won’t want to miss this.” he told Cason.

Esme remained unconscious the entire way to wherever the demons were taking them and when they drug her from the car. When she came to, her vision was blurry and her head was pounding. She was aware they had bound her wrists to the arms of the chair she sat in, as well as her ankles to the legs of it, and they had stripped her of her jacket. As she tried to clear her vision, she felt the rage rise in Cason as she lifted her head from her shoulder and shook the hair from her face. Blinking the blurriness from her vision, her eyes landed on Cason and the state he was in and the rage he felt. Her eyes then shifted to the demon wearing thick leather gloves, then to the iron knife and steel thermos he held as he circled Cason. She listened as Cason told them to let her go, but she knew it wouldn’t happen even before the demon spoke. He was going to use her to get to Cason.

When Cason cried out from having the holy water thrown in his face, Esme gripped the arms of the chair as she felt his pain go through her. She listened as the demon continued to speak to Cason about how she was easier to hurt than him with their tools, clearly showing they were going to enjoy torturing her in front of him. She had to smirk a bit at his statement of seeing how long she could last under intense interrogation. The words were being used to get under Cason’s skin, and it seemed to be working. At the mention of Anna, Esme looked back at Cason as she struggled against her bindings, but they were too tight to break from. It was then she noticed they had taken liberties with the v-neck t-shirt she was wearing. They had ripped it, so more skin was accessible when torturing her.

When the other demon stepped up close, she gripped the chair once again, reading herself for what he might do first. Esme still listened as the first demon spoke as if scolding Cason for not being like he was before punching him in the jaw, causing her to wince from the loud crack. It was then she heard the demon next to her chuckle before he grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her head back to look up at him standing behind her. A slight gasp left her at the action as she narrowed her eyes and glared at the demon, only to have him grin back at the hatred she showed him. “Glare all you want, Blondie. It doesn’t hurt me any, but if it makes you feel better, go ahead.” he chuckled. Lifting his left hand, he showed her the large knife he held within it, a larger grin now coming to his face before he pressed it flat against the unbruised side of her face.

Moving the blade slowly, he let the smooth metal glide across Esme’s cheek and to her lips, where he let it linger a moment before purposely cutting her bottom lip with the tip of the blade. She neither flinched nor made a sound as he cut her lip, but continued to stare and glare at the demon. He seemed disappointed by her lack of reaction but pleased that he had drawn blood from her. He then pressed the blade flat against her skin again, starting at the corner of her mouth and gliding it down her chin and then down her neck to her collarbone, just barely letting the tip of the blade graze her skin. “Just what do you think you’ll get out of me by torturing me?” she asked in a hateful tone, as he ran the blade along her collarbone. A menacing grin made its way to the demon’s face at her words, as he slid the blade down to just above her breasts, lingering a moment to watch her face.

When he received no reaction, he pressed the tip of the blade into her skin, then a little harder to puncture it, then drug it across her skin in a small cut. She held her breath as the blade cut her, then watched him as he leaned down and placed his lips close to her ear. “A scream, Blondie. So I can watch that traitor scum squirm because he can’t save you.” he hissed in her ear. Esme clenched her teeth as he hissed in her ear and glared at him. “Getting a scream from me won’t be that easy.” she said in almost a growl. “We shall see.” he retorted with a chuckle as he pulled his lips away from her ear. As he stood over her, he brought the blade back up and stopped under her collarbone, tilting it so she could feel the sharpness of the blade against her skin. Then he pressed hard down on the blade and dragged it slowly across her chest, watching her as she held her breath and gripped the arms of the chair, and gritting her teeth to keep from crying out.

Esme was determined not to give the demon the satisfaction of a scream leaving her lips as he cut her. Yes, it hurt like hell with how deep and slow he was cutting, but she was going to hold back her screams. It was clear the demon could see that he wasn’t getting a scream out of her. Lifting the blade, he chose a new spot on her chest and cut deeper and slower this time, watching her as she did the same actions from the last cut he made and never took her eyes off him. “You really think this is going to get you your scream?” she breathed. “Maybe not, but I have other methods for getting you to scream.” he said with a laugh in his tone. Lifting the blade once more from her flesh, he moved it up and placed the tip of the blade against her shoulder, and adjusted his grip on the handle. She knew what was coming even before it happened.

Esme took a deep breath just before the demon pushed the blade into her shoulder, then brought it back and plunged it into her left shoulder up to the handle. There was no stopping the gasp that escaped her lips from the pain that shot through her shoulder. The demon finally let go of her hair and then let the knife go as her head dropped forward as she swallowed her cry of pain and gritted her teeth as she closed her eyes, her breathing now labored. Lifting her head back up, she took in a breath that was followed by a small groan. “Mmm, looks like I’m going to have to switch to something new.” he said almost happily. He then took hold of the handle of the knife and gave it a good twist, a new grin coming to his face as she gasped from the pain but still didn’t scream for him.
Rosalie Aldaine

Rosalie sat at a tabling within the Bunker she had taken up residence in, a laptop sat in front of her, and many books lay scattered across the table's surface. With the information she had, she had been pouring herself over books filled with lore, and even going over articles repeatedly to see if she could find out any more information or find something she had missed. After some time, she pushed the computer away from her, rested her elbows on the table, and placed her chin between the palms of her hands, and rubbed her temples with her fingers as she closed her eyes with a loud sigh. She was growing frustrated as she ran into dead ends or things that made little sense or just didn’t add up. After a while, she ran her hands down her face, pushed her chair back, stood, then heading into the kitchen. Once in the kitchen, she went to the liquor cabinet and opened it, then pulled out a glass and a bottle of scotch and closing the cabinet door.

She carried both back to the table she had been sitting at and sat down the glass and bottle before sitting down in the chair. Rosalie then picked up the bottle and poured herself a decent glass of the scotch after opening the bottle. Setting the bottle down, she picked up her glass and leaned back in her chair as she took a drink and went over things in her mind. As she sat there thinking and drinking her scotch, she started just over her computer at a Haladie that rested on a stand on a shelf just across the room. An email notification pulled her attention to the computer screen. Switching her drink to her other hand, she pulled the computer closer and opened up her mail, her eyebrows raising a little at who the email was from as she took another drink of her scotch. She then opened the email and read it. As she read its contents, her right hand slowly made its way up to rest under her chin as she placed her elbow on the table.

The email contained all the missing information she needed from the killings and missing people and information on the events that weren’t publicized. The numbers of the missing and dead were absolutely staggering, and the way they found the bodies, she had no words to describe how she felt about it. Rosalie gripped her glass as she continued to read the contents of the email that she received. If she wasn’t used to this sort of thing, her head would be spinning at all the information she was getting from the email. The more she read, the more a thought hit her she didn’t want to think about because it couldn’t be possible. After she finished reading the email, the thought that had kept in her mind remained. The hand under her chin dropped to the table, slapping it. “It couldn’t possibly be……… That’s impossible.” she whispered even though she was alone. “He’s been dead for years……. We burned his body.”

Everything she had read and heard sounded just like what he wanted to do all those years ago. Rosalie took a drink of her scotch as she went over it more in her mind, then the answer hit her like a ton of bricks. She drank the last of the scotch in her glass, then slammed the glass down on the table. “A tether.” she almost yelled into the room. “He found an item to tether himself to before we killed him.” She couldn’t bring herself to say his name aloud, just the thought of it really being him put a pit in her stomach. If he really was back, it meant that he had possessed someone or something to accomplish everything going on. It also meant it would be ten times harder to stop him this time around, especially with the arm he was building. She was going to have to find him and stop him once again, and destroy the item he had tethered himself to. It sounded like an impossible task, but she had to do it no matter how impossible it seemed.
Esme Stirling

Esme slept peacefully during the drive. She didn’t twitch or talk in her sleep like she had been the last few times she had slept. The most she did was nuzzle into the jacket she was using as her pillow in her sleep. She was unaware of Cason stopping at the roadblock they had come upon, but started to wake at the sound of an unfamiliar voice talking to Cason. By the time Cason said they were in a hurry, she was coming more out of her sleep, but was still groggy and only caught the word traitor from whoever Cason was talking to. Lifting her head from the jacket, it fell into her lap as she blinked the sleep from her eyes. She didn’t have time to react as an officer pulled Cason from the driver's seat, then her door opened and another officer reached in and grabbed her. “What the…… Let me go!” she yelled groggily as he pulled her out and held her against his chest with a laugh. In her groggy state, she didn’t have time to fight back, only flinch and tense up at the touch.

She closed her eyes tight and shook her head to shake away the grogginess just as she heard Cason tell them not to hurt her, do what they wanted to him, and that Dean would come for her. Esme closed her eyes tighter for a moment. Hearing the words from the officer, she opened her eyes and sighed inwardly as she struggled to get out of his grip, but he only held her tighter against his chest and laughed. “Struggling is pointless, Blondie.” he hissed in her ear, which caused her to tense more and another laugh to come from him. “Shut up!” she snapped. As she continued to struggle, she watched as the other officer put a bag over Cason’s head and pulled him towards one of the police cars nearby. Her eyes lifted from Cason to the officer dragging him to the police car, that’s when she noticed his eyes were black and she clenched her fits.

Esme looked around, noticing there were a few others around, and clenched her teeth. They’re all demons. How do I get myself into these messes? she thought to herself as she felt a pit in her stomach. She tried to reach for the knife on her hip, but couldn’t reach it with the way he had her arms pinned at her sides. She couldn’t throw her head back and bust his mouth with her head, because he was much taller than her. Her eyes drifted to her car as she was still struggling against the demon's hold on her then that’s when she saw it. When he pulled her from the car, the leather jacket had fallen from her lap and onto the pavement. She instantly saw red as she stared at the jacket laying on the pavement. “You son of a……..” she said in almost a growl as she trailed off as the last word got caught in her throat from her emotions rising. A fire now burned within her eyes and her body was heating up from the anger quickly building up from within her.

The heat soon radiated from her body and started to burn the demon that was holding her. The demon hissed from the pain, but kept his grip tight on Esme as he looked over at the demon that had Cason. “I think this chick is the one they’re calling the nuke.” he told the other with another hiss of pain. “What, she can’t be?!” the other said in surprise as he stopped and turned to look at Esme, then the demon holding her. He could see the flesh on the demon's face and hands burning, causing his eyes to go wide. “Do something before she blows!” he yelled. As soon as the demon’s grip loosened to do something, she spun in his grip, broke her arms free, and reached up, placing her hands on the demon’s face. He howled in pain as her hands seared the flesh on his face and he let her go to grab her wrists, only to have his hands burned once he touched her skin.

Tightening her grip, she pulled his face down and threw him to the ground, kicking him in the stomach and then the face. She spun back around, her eyes landed on the leather jacket again and she rushed towards it. As Esme went for the leather jacket, she could feel the panic raising in the demon’s. Scooping the leather jacket off the ground, she drew her gun with her free hand, released the safety and held it over the top of her car, pointing at the demon that had Cason as she placed the leather jacket over the back of the seat. “Release him or I’ll nuke you all.” she said in a voice and tone that didn’t sound like her at all. At the moment, Esme had control, but she could slowly feel it rising as she stared down the demon that had Cason and wasn’t sure if she could hold it long. The demon looked back at her with a smirk and yanked Cason up and closer to him, as if trying to use him as a shield to keep her from shooting him. “If you do that, you risk nuking him too.” he retorted, gesturing to Cason.

She narrowed her eyes at the demon, keeping her gun pointed at him as she gave her own little smirk. “How do you know I can’t be selective about who gets nuked?” At her words, she saw his eyes widen a bit and then clench his jaw before a smirk came to his face again. The next thing Esme knew, a demon grabbed her by the hair and they bashed her head twice against the car. A groan escaped her lips as they threw her to the ground. When she turned her head to the demon and tried to get up, he punched her in the jaw, knocking her out cold. Her body collapsed to the pavement with an audible thud. “Damn, she’s a fiery one.” the demon said, holding his now sizzling hand. Using his good hand, he grabbed Esme by the collar of her jacket and hoisted her up, then carefully tested her skin, finding it was now cool to the touch. He then lifted her and threw her over his shoulder and carried her to a police car and tossed her unconscious form in it as the other demon forced Cason into his police car with a smirk.
Name: Rosalie Aldaine

Nickname(s): Rose(by a select few), Aldaine

Species: Human/Woman of Letters

Age: 226, but looks to be about 28

Appearance: Olga Fonda

Relation to characters (optional): She knows of them and has heard about how they handle things, but is still not quite sure how she feels about them.

Bio: Rosalie Aldaine was born in the 1800s and brought up by a family involved in the Men of Letters. She became one of the first "Women" of Letters which was quite controversial at the time. Knowing this she sought to prove herself by performing with excellence for her & all other women interested in becoming legacies of the Letters in the future. During her continued tenure with the organization, she managed to rise to the occasion & beyond paving the way for others after her as she had initially intended. She met & fell in love with a powerful natural psychic & witch named Felix Haustin who had grand intentions to use the Men of Letters to carve out a great nation in the new world. Her love for him consumed her & caused her to follow in his steps to obtain eternal life to shape the group's future over the centuries. To that end he found and gave her water from the fountain of youth making the words Forever 21 take a whole new meaning for her.

However, her blind love for Felix dissipated upon learning that instead of also partaking in the fountain's water for eternal youth he instead turned himself into a dragon, one of the fiercest beasts in the world to compensate for his perceived lack of physical power. With her feelings cast aside, she glimpsed the evil brewing within Felix and stood with the other Men of Letters to take him down exposing what he did. This led to collaborating with the British Men of Letters to use Excalibur to slay the psychic witch protege turned dragon. She personally participated in the burning of his body and went on to resume her life's work with the Letters in order to keep the world rid of evil having seen it firsthand corrupt a man she loved deeply and once saw as her true love.

Over the next 200 years, Rosalie continued her work with the Letters, continuing to prove her worth and skills within their ranks even though most frowned upon her decision to partake in drinking water from the Fountain of Youth. Though most understood why she did and felt pity for her, but would never admit it to her face. With her life eternal, she witnessed her family grow, bear new life, and members of it pass away. She’s witnessed members of the Letters pass from being killed on the job or passing from old age, and new members were brought into the ranks and trained, her being one of the ones to train the new members. As time and years went by most of the Letters she knew and trusted passed, things became strained with the newer members for they saw her as one that shouldn’t be there despite all that she had done for the Chapter. Distrust and backstabbing spread through the Chapter, which caused her to gather her things and leave the American Chapter and join the British Chapter. Not to her surprise, they knew everything about her and what she had done for love and what she had done following that loves betrayal.

The British Chapter accepted her into their ranks, starting her out as the low man on the totem pole. Rosalie pushed herself to her limits to rise in rank and to the occasion, just as she had in the American Chapter. With her eternal life, they saw her as an asset as she shared her knowledge with them, and theirs with her. The more she learned from the British Men of Letters, the more of a force she became to reckon with. She excelled in every mission/case she was sent on and that only made her more of an asset to the Letters. Yes, there were some of their methods she didn’t approve of and would occasionally deviate from them to incorporate her own method, she still got the job done despite their disapproval and scolding when she came back. As time went on, she moved into the top ranks and they learned not to question her methods of taking care of whatever monster she came across and dealt with, they didn’t even scold her for how she took care of things since it was effective and she took care of the evidence and no one was the wiser.

After the fallout of the Letters, Rosalie pretty much went off and did her own thing. She tried to make a life for herself, going as far as finding a little house away from any town. She limited how often she visited town as to not draw attention to her eternal youth and have those she crossed paths with question her not aging. At first, she tried to get away from the life she had, but she kept being drawn back to it like a moth to a flame. She couldn’t keep herself from wanting to rid the world of its monsters as she had pledged all those years ago with Felix, the only difference now, was that she was going it alone. She made it her mission to kill the monsters she came across and heard about to keep them from killing innocents and wreaking havoc on the world, she couldn’t let any get away with it. Rosalie vowed to herself to keep fighting them and wouldn’t stop until she drew her last breath.

To this day, Rosalie has kept true to the vow she made herself and has never faltered. She has moved back to America and taken up residence in a Men of Letters bunker in St. Louis, Missouri, after hearing about the seals being broken and a series of murders and missing people. She knows she has to stop the seals from being broken and needs to find the monster responsible for the murders and missing people and put an end to it.

Weapons: A smallish satchel with a pocket dimension within it that holds her arsenal, knowledge of ancient and powerful magic, and time travel spells. She also carries a handgun on her person at all times.
