Mithias' cave crumbled away, revealing the scene. Mithias stood agasp. Over decades, Stein had orchestrated a grand and terrible plan, not to end the world, but for the primary purpose of killing Gabriel. The level of depth and power that would have to be called upon for such a thing... Stein literally had to open the gates of Heaven and Hell. Mithias took a few steps into a clearing amid the bodies, staring open-mouthed at the seraph above the wreckage of Terebithia. The floating warship wasn't what they all had to fear, it was that angel-like creation of Stein's and its entourage. The resultant destruction of the world was merely an unavoidable side affect, a worthy price to the mad scientist.

"You..." Mithias trembled. He never did well with scenes of massive death and destruction. "You couldn't have! You monster!" Mithias crumpled down. He knew Stein wasn't bluffing. He never laughed when he was lying. Distraught, and pained by the fact that he had to give in, the vampire answered, "I will go, as you wish. Please, stop this. Please don't let this happen." Mithias knew he had no guarantees that Stein would do as he said, that he would not kill Mithias or the rest of his family in time, but with protocols snowballing into the release of heaven's greatest weapon and the destruction of the world, what choice was left?

This made Darkside cough up a good deal of blood, but growl."Small time? You're nothing but a failure stine.....maybe when I send you to hell one day, Mia will be able to see her father again....." He chuckles, before vanishing.

Eclipse was shocked by what Darkside had done. It was beyond horrifying. If the several gods of his own world ever had such power, he did not know of it. A fury to echo that of the mortal beside him ignited within him. Darkside needed to be destroyed.

But he already had an obligation, which was to protect Matthew and serve as the diplomat between him and Iomedae, until the goddess and her consultant pantheon made their decision. He looked to Matthew sympathetically.

she adds a log to the blue-black campfire which seemed to have an odd effect of drawing the cold out of things rather than heating them, making the effect somewhat better by comparison as there was no chill to fight off, leaving a comfortable heat despite how cold the night might be. upon noticing him just staring off into space elycia walks over and waves her hand in front of his face, seeming to be checking if he was awake as she asks "you fall asleep mister?" while holding a bowl of rice, eating it distractedly as she watches him intently

Damien blinked and flinched from her a little. He had been very preoccupied. "Erm,.. no. Please just call me Damein. I'm just keeping a look out. Hey, will that fire harm the undead?"
Tyki said
"but like i said, vampires and werewolves know better than to attack a priestess of the night" she replies, seeming to have unwavering faith in her status as a priestess of the night even though most people would be scared shit less in her position while she let's him think on that as she walks back over to her camp

The question whether or not this person was was sane enough not to inadvertently attract monsters came into question. Damien's moral code wouldn't allow him to simply leave her undefended, but he couldn't expect much help from her if he were to be attacked himself. He sighed heavily at the dilemma. If she did turn out to be a powerful magic user, he'd be surprised. Magic did exist. Most however didn't believe in it and shunned any of the subject. That was why Damien kept his own gift, or curse, to himself.

Standing out front of the tent, keeping watch, Damien waited for the sun. He was so very tired, yet couldn't let go of his tension. Off in the distance, he could see the glimmer of souls. They could belong to humans, ghosts, maybe even great beasts of old. Using that soul-sense, he kept vigil for any approaching souls, saying nothing of why he seemed to stare out into space.
Tyki said
"no... it's just a tent and a fire" she replies, looking at him like he were the weird one as she allows him to move her with little resistance

Damien stops and facepalms. "We're doomed."
"I camp? Is anyone else there? Do you have weapons? Fire? Any magic that could protect us? I'll keep watch. Come. Let's get out of the open."
The young man shook his head and sighed. Alright, she was crazy. "Alright. Well, we might as well stick together until sunrise. It's going to be a long night. I do however, suggest we keep moving. The city can't be far from us."
Damien proverbially scratched his head. He wasn't sure what to make of a human, girl, alone, at night, with a bunch of inversely flowing lillies. He didn't know how, but he was probably enchanted and about to die. Laxing his stance, he walked over cautiously. "I'm Damien, and I have never heard of the goddess of the night. Do you tend flowers in the middle of the night often, or are you suicidal, Elycia? Vampires are always hungry."
btw
Make it not deserted then? Maybe he just thought it was deserted.
