Some measure of time moved by and Mithias was stirred by the wind blowing his hair across his face. It was night, and he was indeed lying on his back in an open field. The sky was clear and the dead and dried grasses from last summer crinkled softly in the breeze. The faint scent of blood that lingered after the Terebithia mingled with the earthy scent of grass and ground, telling that she had recently been there. Now awake, Mithias collected and directed his thoughts. Two facts struck him like a hard slap to the face. He was alive, and he was free. There could have been no greater insult than this, and yet, he could do nothing but accept with gratitude and broken pride. Things were looking grim, both for Magnus' vampire nation and for Mithias' closest allies and family.

The tired vampire sighed deeply, watching the stars. How he loved nature. As much as he wanted to disappear for a hundred years, he worried about others. If he didn't.... Mithias declined that line of thought. If he didn't, there'd be no reason to exist at all.

Like an old man, Mithias forced himself up. What day was it? What time? ... What year?? He narrowed his eyes as he looked around him. He could have sworn Martin was just there a moment ago. Oh yes. Martin no longer had a body. Terebithia had re-created Stein, and Magnus was nowhere to be seen. Rhyss was probably very angry with him and Onikage probably wanted revenge. Chances were favorable that Gabriel was still alive and on the run. Now, what was a failure child left to do? Mithias stood, straightened himself out and checked his weapons. Yes, he still had them. The best way to stop Terebithia was to find Magnus and strengthen the vampire nation. Much could be said for having international allies, structure, income, power... Now what direction was Kilo Point?

"Oh, you didn't let me finish. There's no creature in that cave. Truly, they're afraid of me." Leon says reassuringly. Leon then allows a small smile to grace his face at Damien's question. "That will be in answered in time." He says.

The human raises a brow. "Oh? I suppose I could believe you, after seeing your entrance. That sounds possibly safe, erm, as long as we can trust you. I'm willing. Elysia?"
posting something for akje.
The entity known as Martin reached out to help. Surely, he searched and probed and turned over every leaf in Mithias' mind, but no trace that Stein had ever been there could be found... except in Mithias' memory of him having been there. How was that possible? Perhaps the code had already been withdrawn. Their unique bond, brothers in thought, spirit, and blood, made their communication immediate and nearly perfect.. only Mithias wasn't communicating. Mentally, he laid there, faded, and surrounded in shadows, crushed by defeat.
Name: Strygwyr, The Bloodseeker
Age: Unknown
Powers: Bloodseeker doesn't appear to make much use of his eyes under that mask, but he has extremely accurate, long-range, and unobstructed vision of injured and dying beings. The wounds of those around him drive him into a frenzy, granting incredible speed and strength. Bathing in blood, being splashed by blood, heals him. He can incite a damaging blood rage on himself or others that will also increase the subject's strength. He can also cause a beings skin to spontaneously rupture, causing them to bleed drastically, especially if they are moving.

Bio: "Strygwyr the Bloodseeker is a ritually sanctioned hunter, Hound of the Flayed Twins, sent down from the mist-shrouded peaks of Xhacatocatl in search of blood. The Flayed Ones require oceanic amounts of blood to keep them sated and placated, and would soon drain their mountain empire of its populace if the priests of the high plateaus did not appease them. Strygwyr therefore goes out in search of carnage. The vital energy of any blood he lets, flows immediately to the Twins through the sacred markings on his weapons and armor. Over the years, he has come to embody the energy of a vicious hound; in battle he is savage as a jackal. Beneath the Mask of the Bloodseeker, in the rush of bloody quenching, it is said that you can sometime see the features of the Flayers taking direct possession of their Hound."

I'm thinking of making bloodseeker a character.
I'm about to come home from work, but first, sushi!

"Hm...I may know of such a place. A cave not too far from here. If I'm correct, the people here do not go near it, for they fear that a mythical creature that dwells there will devour them on sight. Even the local wildlife take extreme caution when drawing near it." Leon suggests.

Damien's eyebrow twitched and he took a moment to press a few fingers into his forehead. "I'm sorry, but after what Elysia and I dealt with last night, the idea of anything that lives underground and scares even local wildlife isn't reassuring. Can you think of any place with some kind of defenses? I would suggest a town or fortress, unless there's some kind of magical anti-vampire ward somewhere. I just don't know of one. We might be alright with weapons and numbers..." He looked at each of them. "Where exactly did you come from Leon?"
Oh I have ideas. I've just been busy with work. Will post later today.

"i don't know how i got here and i can't just talk to my goddess on a whim... is there anywhere outside a city you can think of that's safe?" she replies frankly, giving it some thought before asking her question futily

Damien shook his head sadly. "Not that I have ever known all my life. Do you have any ideas, Leon?"
