Mithias bowed to Mira. "I thank you, Mira." Much to her relief he answered, "Money will do. I do not require a contract as the amount doesn't really matter to me. I will begin an investigation tonight." He looked at her a moment before nodding. "It was a pleasure, Lady Kingston." With that, Mithias took his leave, heading back toward the front of the house, let lingering as he neared the study.
Return of Onikage! And Wraith, it's not a VAMPIRE NINJA. It's a CYBORG NINJA. I never confirmed whether he was a vampire or not.
*claps* Glorious entrance. Vampire or not, I'm excited about the lovely threat to all our lives.
Wow. I missed a serious post-storm in here. Never saw Firefly. Is that the star-trecky space one?
"Humans, Miss Kingston. Those I consider to be my 'family' are human." To tell the truth, Mithais expected a scoff from her, but he was dead serious. She could presume he was talking about either close human friends or perhaps something closer, such as living blood ties to actual descendents of his. Afterall, vampires were turned, not born, and Mithias looked old enough to be a father. "Of course I will not tell you which humans I am specifically concerned with, but suffice it to say I will potentially protect any of them. I will help you with your rogue-vampire problem."
... The building was burning. Mithias slowly walked through the rain, the mud dragging at his heels, the sword he bore resting heavily in his hand. As he reached the crest of the hill, he simply stared out mournfully, watching the flames as they devoured everything. Blood dripped from his side, his left hand clenched onto a wound. His shield lay discarded, far behind him, among the bodies of slain men, felled by the very blade he carried. Blood had stained his once clean armor, and had seeped between every crack, and as he dropped to his knees, he faintly realized that he might never be able to clean it. A firm hand grabbed his shoulder, shaking him, as if to awaken him from a nightmare. Unfortunately, this was real. 'They'll still be alive, I'm sure of it. There's no way those sons of bitches would be satisfied just killing them, they'll be on tomorrow's pyres.' His oddly named companion said those words to relax him, but in reality, nothing terrified the knight more. A death by the blade was swift, but he had seen enough burnings to know that it wasn't quick, and it was far from painless. And it would be guarded by the armies of Inquisitor Stein, no mortal being could survive an all-out assault. Of course, as a Templar Knight, he was aware of an alternative.
The shake stirred Mithias back to alertness, pain pulsing through his side and his veins like the fire of life, and he realized that he had almost let himself zone out. But no, no, this wasn't a dream. The same reality he had almost left behind in unconsciousness was still there as he blinked his eyes. Their home was destroyed, burning in the rain right before him, and she was gone. "Evelyn..." Mithias winced as he could not hold back the tears. She had his child, his greatest joy, and now, the thought of them burning alone and apart from his protection was more than he could bear. It was a suffering unto death that was beyond all known cruel torture. "Evelyn!" He shouted as loudly as he could, as if he could reach her with his voice. Blood gushed briefly from his side, stifeling his cry. Wearily he stabbed his sword into the ground and leaned forward on it."I can't let it happen. I can't let them die..." The world was turned upside down. The once beloved and glorified Templars were now demonized and hunted down like a secret society of Satan-worshipping cultists. They were being slaughtered left and right, their homes destroyed, their lands taken. It was all coming back to him now... "Bug, my friend. I beg of you, please. Help me, help them. I would give my soul to save my family."
As Matt approached a corner, a SOLDIER motorbike pulled up beside him, its engine running as stealthy as technology could make it. On it was a SOLDIER Enforcer, clad head to toe in black uniform, kevlar vest, a helmet with a dark visor, and he was armed with a few vampire-preferred weapons. The Elite SOLDIER members were always vampires, hired and trained specifically for destroying contract breakers of their own kind. It was always best to have a vampire hunt down a vampire, less human casualties in the effort that way. The white skin of his clawed hands gripped the handles and long heavy black hair trailed behind him. He had two swords at his sides and a military grade black compound bow over his shoulder. The Enforcer stopped deliberately beside him. "General." The vampire called. "I am special agent Varomere, transferred from California. I've been ordered to locate you and return you to base. Day patrol is ending early. Your shift is done. Please get on and strap in. I will take you back. It's time for me to take over." The general wasn't difficult to find. Modern technology was even capable of surpassing vampiric gifts in many ways. Matt's locator lit up a dot on the patrol bike's GPS screen.
Excellent. I have co-GM powers. If you are a rebel, meet Magnus at his underground base. If you are siding with the humans, you can be at a SOLDIER base or anywhere you'd like nearby. Feel free to ask me for details.
Yeeah. All characters are accepted unless I state otherwise :p. Going to think up a post now.
I don't see any problems with your character. Surely it is accepted.
I'm hoping by tomorrow, Shik will.
