As you come closer to the orb of pure white light, you begin to see shapes moving in it, distorted slightly. Like a portal, except you can feel in your very soul that this is far different from a portal. It's like looking into a twisted mirror, through which you can see several scenes unfolding, too blurry to make out any details. However, at the same time, the discomfort, and sense of wrongness, just goes stronger. Bob, in the meantime, simply looks on, smiling, his face showing clearly that something is about to happen, but remaining impassive about what.

Mithias shied back. He got the terrifying feeling that everything he had ever known and ever lived was a lie, made to cover up some horrible truth in reality that shone through this orb. The orb was like a point where the "real world" shone through his carefully constructed fantasy, his escape. What was in this window? Dare he look at what he had been escaping from? He was too afraid to keep looking and yet... He wanted to know. He wanted to know so he could fix it. "I don't want to know what's in there!" He said.
.. and then, they skinned a bear.

Really!
You know what? I can never have kids now. I just watched the saddest story of this Alaskan couple who's 2 year old fell out of the canoe and drowned. They were putting flowers on her grave 26 years later. That's it. Can't do it. Couldn't handle that.
*trips on a rock*
WHO put that there?@?!
Mithias scanned over the six drones, and his heart sank. For all his intellect, Jack was deficient when it came to social interpretation. He had interpreted Mithias' words as a threat, which was a plausible interpretation, but not what was intended. Hating him, or admiring him, Mithias was going to have to smooth this over. At least, he had brought forth Jack's honesty. Mithias lowered his eyes and bowed slightly. "Forgive me." He lifted a finger to the black cloth that wrapped the lower half of his face and brought it down, looking at Jack. "My mask has made it difficult to convey my meaning. I apologize. I meant no offense. Yet, I am grateful to be worthy of your true feelings on the matter." Mithias had actually meant what he had said, literally. Jack, in the all-likelihood that he would die first, would be mourned and remembered for more than just the products he created. Mithais said no more of it, seeing as it might be interpreted as an insult. "I will come with you, as you wish." Having been around humans for a very long time, Mithais knew how to move, how to speak, in such ways that did not frighten even a small child. Averting his gaze did nothing to slow his reaction time, but it gave humans a sense of ease. His demeanor was one of calm, dismissing the threat as a mere misunderstanding which, surely Jack would withdraw to save face. "We have been in alliance for two decades, Stine. There is no reason to pretend any friendship between us." Mithias tried not to be arrogant as he revealed his knowledge that Jack had been feigning his smiles.
Not far away, that night, at the den of the Godfreys, a cool breeze blew through through to open walkway to the balcony. Poor Richard was working double duty to manage his pack affairs and RUBC work at the same time. He happened to be home. He happened to be alone in his study. There happened to be an intruder.

With an unavoidable chill, the vampire lord entered the room. Using what tricks of mind power he could get away with on an immortal, Damien obscured his presence. His appearance was masked into a mere shadow. His sounds, mentally dismissed as the mere banter of nature. But there he stood, rising to full height in the back of the room beside an old grandfather clock and a bookcase. The werewolf gamma was sure to notice him soon.
Mithias' felt his stomach lurch with the shifting of the world under his feet. He placed a hand over it in a meek attempt to quell the visceral rebellion. Succeeding, he immediately perceived the glowing orb. Quirking his eye brows like a puzzled mortal, he approached the thing. "What the devil? It's ... it's like an artist was drawing the world, and then, spherically... stopped drawing here." he felt like he should do somethign about it. Perhaps he should touch it. Mithias got closer.
*has half a mind to stay here as a lost soul*
Mithias huffed, although the guitar solo was actually quite awesome. "Bob. I don't think Drac is going to make an appearance. What am I doing here again?"
