Misha grins awkwardly. She takes a short step towards Mona and fist bumps her instead. She gives a quick nod and then slides down the embankment and back into the forest, breaking into a run in the direction of the Brom camp as soon as she touched even ground.

Liwei glances at the exchange from the drivers seat. He leans with one arm on the wheel. "Wow," he said flatly. "That was like releasing a baby deer." He pauses for a moment, stroking his chin. "Or maybe a bear?"
Misha slid to the ground with a tentative thud as her feet hit the edge of gravel and pavement. Her eyes moved from the ground, up to the towering trees beyond the road, and then back to Mona. "Well, I'm here."
From the back of the van, Misha let out an indignant grunt. "Sure as hell will," she hissed. She stared out the shaded windows of the back of the van. The scenery was much more familiar, here, and she felt less anxious. She crawled back over the seat as Liwei slowed the car. "Anything else, huh? You want fries with that?"
Liwei nodded. "Let's do both. We might have to do a bit of planning, though," he said, chuckling softly. They were approaching the river. Through the slightly open window beside him, he could hear the churning of water over the rumble of the vehicle. "So, should we just let her go?"
Liwei nods and sets the phone down, opting for responsible driving instead of veering into a ditch. As they drove on, he felt his face turning into a soft frown. "Uh.. Mona?" He glanced over, then back to the blacktop. "Where are we going after this?" He paused and let out a sigh. "Can't go home anymore."

"I parked in the town, behind the abandoned lot. But there's no way we can take her back where we found her without her screaming and alerting everyone in both the town and the forest of where and who we are." Mona huffs, glancing at the girl warily.

Liwei groaned. He slowed the van, hand sliding down to his phone. With quick glances from the road to the screen, he opened Google Maps. His brows furrowed as he read the map. "Uhh.. could we drop her by the river?"

Mona sighs, trying to get her temper to flare down. She looks around. "It was deeper in the forest. We couldn't take the car, which is the problem. It was this side of the river, towards the east."

Liwei lowers his voice. "So.. where should we take her? Where'd you park before?" He glances at the forest, then down to his phone on the console. He ponders turning on the GPS. Maybe then they could understand the geography here a little better.
Liwei puts up a hand defensively. "Hey, no hard feelings!" he says slowly, keeping an eye on the road as he presses the situation. Time to deescalate, he thinks quickly. The road ahead is featureless as they slide out of the small town and onto a wooded highway. "Where did you pick her up?"

Liwei pats Mona's shoulder. "Are we close? I'm going to need directions before she chews her way out of the car."

Sacha heads towards her tent, starting to plan a way to figure out where Ambrose was an how to go about looking for him.

Mona gasps and sits back in her seat with a sigh. "Fine..." She huffs, crossing her arms.

Liwei pats Mona's shoulder. "Are we close? I'm going to need directions before she chews her way out of the car."
