Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

After leaving the cafeteria in a hurry, Felice made his way down to the gym. He knew that he should be making sure that the kitchen was in order or maybe prepping for the next day's cooking, but he wanted to avoid that place more than anything right now. Stupid...so stupid! He wasn't in the best state of mind, and attempting to confront anyone like this was not wise, if past experience was anything to go off of. Instead, he decided that perhaps he could blow off some steam for the time being.

Entering the gym, he looked around at the available equipment. It looked pretty standard to him...oh? Was that a balance beam there? The slightly short boy strode over to it, placing a hand on it when he got close. It felt sturdy enough. He climbed up and took a few experimental steps, eventually bending forward and walking on his hands briefly. Hmm...this seemed acceptable.

Finally satisfied, he placed his feet back on the beam and stood up before rummaging around in the inner pocket of his vest, eventually pulling out an MP3 player. Taking a moment to turn it on, he began to scroll through the songs until he found one that he wanted. With another tap of the button, he set the timer and placed it back into his vest pocket, drawing out two batons and taking a starting position in the middle of the beam while he waited for the intro to play.
Sorry I've been out so much lately! I'll try to get some stuff up shortly, I've just been having a difficult time staying on here between the site issues and outside complications.

Let's see...where did we leave off...

"You may do them mentally. If the answers are wrong I will have you show me how you came to the answer you got." the housekeeper told him.

"Understood."
The boy returned to his paper, a few strands of dark hair escaping his hair tie and falling in his face. He was a bit too focused on completing the task to really pay much attention to it at the moment, though. The first few problems were easy enough to do without writing out the steps, though he did have to write out the steps for addition and subtraction for most numbers past three digits. Two perpendicular rows with the numbers, a few dots between them, and a few circles later, even those could be dealt with quickly. He gave a small smile before moving on to simple multiplication and division.

"I don't want to get you into trouble." Liz assured him. "I just wanted to make sure that you were ok. You seemed upset when you left. We were worried that you might be in need of assistance."

The boy shook his head, smiling a bit nervously. "I'm fine, really. Just a little confused is all. I assure you that it's nothing major." He paused for a moment to adjust the cups in his arms. "I tend to do a lot of experimentation in magic, so sometimes I end up in slightly strange situations with little warning. But that just means that I need to do more research into the subject that brought me there." He could feel one of his ears start to itch, but could only flick it a few times with his hands full. "Um...it's not really all that important for me to say, I suppose, but maybe...If you need an explanation, that is..."
Mmph...I don't want this to go under again... Things seemed to be getting interesting again and everything...

Vanessa shrugged. "I don't believe in fate, but I don't care enough to argue over an issue that's been argued since the beginning of time and will continued to be argued until the world ends, I hate wasting time and that's all that would lead to. Nice to meet you Felice."

"Someone who makes sense. That's rare in my life." He gave a lazy wink, almost out of habit, though the expression never changed. "Piacere, ragazza."
"Speaking of wasting time, do we have any leads yet?" He looked over at the rest of the group.

"Then let's begin. I would like each of you to fill a page with examples of math problems that you know how to complete without assistance. This will give me an idea of what you already know."

Kyo took a paper and thought for a moment before he began writing. He thought that it would be best to go from the lowest level he could remember to the highest. Although, exactly what level some problems would fall in kind of blurred in his mind for a while, so he would just do as many examples of different kinds of problems as he could after a while and stop when he couldn't think of anything different. So, that meant that he should start with addition and subtraction, right? Single digit, double digit, triple digit, quadruple, digits... Did he need to show his work? He raised his hand and typed out the question to ask the housekeeper.

"Do you want the methods for each, or are we allowed to solve them mentally and write down the answers?"

Roxy gave Felipe an odd look. "Strangle that makes sense. I'm not very good at working with others. I haven't had a lot of practice. I'm glad you think we can work together. All I saw was me screwing up again. You want to do a demonstration for me?" Roux rubbed her neck. She really wished she had her knives she missed them. "I'm afraid that isn't possible but thanks for the offer.

The boy stopped for a moment, dropping his expression in a state of slightly shocked confusion. He wasn't sure which part to respond to first, the fact that she had understood it so easily, or the apparent impossibility of a demonstration. Hmm...perhaps he wasn't clear...

"Va bene." He eventually replied, crossing his arms. "Vedresti altra cosa? Abbiamo bisogno di praticare con le potenze, si?"
("Would you like to see anything else? We have to practice with these abilities, right?")

She shrugged. "Not exactly my choice to join said party, but might as well make the best of it while I'm here. Thanks. My name's Vanessa by the way."

The boy crossed his arms and closed his eyes for a moment. "Choices are just the ability to use what's available. Anything else is just fate and fortune." He looked back up to acknowledge the introduction, keeping his default expression of slight irritation. "Felice. Make your jokes now or hold your peace, I don't care."
