Kyo tilted his head and gazed curiously at Katherin. "So they can be removed, but not by us, and if they ever are, then we will die?" It was both comforting and unsettling that they probably couldn't be killed by the presence of these demons, either directly or indirectly. But after some of the things he had seen lately, he couldn't help but despair slightly at the fact that none of them would ever be free to their own minds again. Still, they were immortal? That in itself was a bit overwhelming, wasn't it? He was pretty sure that the only reason why he wasn't more shocked by the fact was that he had yet to actually grasp it. Were they really unable to die? What kinds of implications did that hold? The dark-haired male couldn't even begin to imagine what this would mean for them. "Wait, but why are they here now, then? If it's the same box from the legend, then have they been out for a while? And if they have, what happened to their previous hosts? If not, then why were they released?"

Kyo's got some super nasty memories and fears. Almost constantly living in a waking nightmare for years at a time didn't exactly leave him as unscarred as he'll probably seem right now.

Okay, sorry for the long wait. I finally got through my first week of classes, but I ended up sick by the end of it. Ahaha... Anyway, I hope this sparks a few ideas.

Receiving the note from Marlix, Ruko took a moment to open it up and look it over briefly. "He...wants us to go on a treasure hunt?" He looked up at the others with a hint of confusion on his face. Val had done some strange things before, but this was still pretty unexpected, he thought. Reading over the paper again in detail, his face paled slightly. You all need to get to know each other properly, and I know that at least one of you is going to attempt to get out of it by some means. While I'm certain that you already know the long-term consequences of not trying, I thought that it would be best to give you a little more short-term motivation to keep you focused. In each of seven rooms in the household, along with a clue on the next location to search, there are two things hidden that have to do with one of you. One of them is something good, and the other is something that you'd rather keep hidden. I did not necessarily place them so that both present in one room would necessarily match up to one person, so what happens with the information will likely be left up to whoever finds it. I'm sure that there will be no foul play here~ Our young guest is also encouraged to play, as this would end up quite pointless otherwise. Any information found by the young madam does not necessarily need to be revealed, and is to be used by her however is seen fit. I will accept no acts of intimidation, blackmail, or violence to keep her from the information in this case. This is for your own good. Happy hunting! Your first location is the Library. As he read out the message, he couldn't help but already fear what kinds of things Val had decided to use for this event. How far would he have gone? What exactly would they be searching for? Why was this the method of choice?

Although his only goal had been just to leave the room, the look that the second newcomer sent the merman stopped him in his tracks. Perhaps it hadn't been a good idea to take a route that would lead him so close to them, especially if this one seemed ready to attack. Had he misjudged their intentions? Tightening his grip on his still-broken shoulder only to wince at the pain again, he backed up slightly, unsure of what to do. He couldn't stay here, but if they wouldn't let him leave... Feeling defeated and only more scared, Runo kept backing up until he met one of the walls. Slumping back down to the floor, he curled up and camouflaged himself to match the wall again. He would just have to hold his breath and stay hidden for the time being. He missed his pod more than ever. If only he could at least see Xicca again...

Runo was grateful for Akila's sort-of translation, since he officially had no clue what was going on. Since the newcomers didn't appear to be any kind of threat, though, he stepped away from his position in front of Shea. Honestly, he probably wouldn't have been able to do much more than take another few hits, anyway, so he wouldn't have been much of a good defense at the moment. As he looked on curiously, however, he soon noticed something and started to shy away from the entire group. Those awful air-burning things were back! Having still not recovered fully from the previous destruction of his throat, he certainly wasn't willing to risk further injury, but where could he even go to in this enclosed space? After looking around a bit frantically, he clutched at his shoulder again and tried to make his way back to the door. He wasn't sure where he could go, and he regretted not getting the chance to learn more about the newcomers, but considering everything else up until now, he couldn't stay there with something that wanted so badly to kill him. He would rather go wait in the tank where he wouldn't be bothered anymore.

While taking back the cap and putting it back on, Devon made sure to smile at Autumn. "That's a pretty cool power; I bet it comes in handy all the time! Good luck with your dare.
