Short Bio: Rivaille was a sickly child. He was infected with a multitude of viruses and bacterial infections from a very young age. This is because of his inability to fight of disease, due to a condition called Cystic fibrosis. It causes the thickening the mucus lining in the lungs, allowing infections to get stuck right at the heart of the lungs. Cystic fibrosis is usually fatal, shortening the life span of a human to about 30. It is currently incurable, gene therapy so far being unsuccessful. Not everybody is so lucky to live to 30 however. Some people don't even make it to 20. That is the situation that Rivaille is in. His target is still to make it to his 21st birthday, so he can at least die a true man. However, it looks very unlikely. He was told by his doctors that 19-20 was more reasonable. Rivaille had been in the hospital, for long term care, when the new MMVORPG game, 'Sword Art Online' had been released. His eldest brother had bought the game the for him, to enjoy something of life, at least before his passing.

Personality: Despite his personal issues, he is a genuinely friendly young man, seeing the good things about life, living every second to it's fullest. He see's the fun aspect to everything, and has no fear. After all, what has he to fear? Death? Yeah right. He won't tell his friends in game about his condition. How else could he determine who his true friends are, from those who just feel sorry for him?

He unfolded his arms. "I think we should return to the guild, and allow this 'time lord' to make his move. There is nothing any of us can do right now if he turns out to be hostile." He looked at Nero. "Under normal circumstances I would agree with you, but we cannot afford to risk losing our remaining power." He nodded towards Sasha. "We're leaving." He turned towards the door, and took a stride, before spluttering, unable to move any further. His chest felt very tight. He was completely breathless. Lazarus thumped to the ground, his skin pale as a ghost, with a green tinge. He could not speak despite trying to get his words out.

Location: Train returning to Magnolia

In the foot well of the compartment the group sat in, was a small black bottle, with the lid unstopped. As the train ground to a halt, a figure walked past, swiping up the bottle, and checking the label. On it was a simple skull and bones. The figure flipped the bottle in the air, catching it again, before slipping it into their pocket, and exiting the train, grin on their face.

The swiping of metal against metal sounded as he slid blades into the sheaths on his hips. He picked up his gas containers on the way out too. He didn't know why he was so nervous. They had killed many titan's outside of the walls. He guessed it was because it was the first time he himself had seen titan's break into the walls since... that day. He entire family but one had been killed that day. He would do his best today to ensure it didn't happen to many other people. He followed Levi out of the door and up into the main building. You could see the carnage taking place outside through the windows. They made their way outside as a unit, before they stopped, levi turning towards them.

Levi

He glared at the Scout who had approached them, getting in their way. "Where is your squad, boy?.." He uttered coldly. He sighed. "We dont have time for this." He thought for a moment. They had lost Murphy Carbonwood in the last expedition, so the Levi squad was a man down. "Slow down this operation, and you will be left as titan bait." He turned to the rest of his squad. "Pair up! Engage every titan you see! Cassandra, on me!" Levi zipped away, gas trailing behind him. They had already devised a pairing system for events like this. The pairs were made from the original Levi squad, but seeing how they were down numbers, places would be made up by the scout members they had with them. The pairings would follow as such. Levi and Cassandra. Neisha and Angelo. Bachus and Murphy.

Bachus

He watched Levi fire off at max speed. "Boy." He was talking to Arthur. "You probably have no idea what is going on." He sighed. "This is Levi's minimal casualty plan. I would normally be paired with Murphy, but he is busy inside a titan's belly right now." He glared. "You will be with me. This is not the normal Scouts. We do not avoid titans. We kill them, because we are capable of doing so. You got that?!" He shouted. The situation was stressful, but he had to make sure that Arthur wasn't going to get him killed. The plan only worked if both partners were fearless.

History: Arthur was born and grew up in Quinta District, which was located just behind the Wall of Maria. Arthur came from a poor family. His father worked as a lumberjack for a local trading company, and Arthur's father spent most of his working time transport lumber from Quinta District to Shiganshina District which was located south of Wall Maria. Arthur's mother was one of the typical housewives out there, who spent all the time doing house chorus for her beloved family. Arthur has a younger brother - Alfons, which was only half of his age, but Alfons was suffering from Pulmonary Stenosis, which the pulmonary valve are often thickened and do not open fully, causing a narrowing where the blood crosses the valve from the right ventricle. This caused Alfons unable to do extreme sports, the family tried very hard to find a doctor who was maybe, able to help Alfons but there was no luck so far.

Arthur's life took a big turn a few years back, when he first saw titans with his own eyes at the age of 17. He will never forget the flesh-eating monsters he saw, stepping, throwing, eating his friends and destroying the district he lived in. Arthur thought that soon enough the government will send out the military to help him and his family, but days after days hidden in different spots around the town, afraid that one day the titans will spot him and ate him. The reinforcements never showed up. Arthur's father was transporting lumber to Shiganshina District, so he had no idea what was happening back at his home. Arthur's mother sacrificed herself to distract a titan that found them hiding beside a teared down building, so that Arthur and his brother Alfons can escape using their family horse. They were to reach Shiganshina District that usually would took merchants two days non-stop to reach, with only supplies just enough for a few days.

After three days of exhausting "family road trip", both Arthur and his brother reached the gate of Shiganshina District, a 50 meters wall stood before them with few soldiers patrolling at the top of the wall. They were spotted and was allowed inside after the soldiers on top of the gate exchanged a few lines with each other. Arthur's father was no where to be found but Arthur never gave up on searching for his father. Arthur soon discovered that the military was recruiting new soldiers, and Arthur eent straight for it.

For the past two years, Arthur trained very hard with the other recruits and he already killed 4 titans during his first right after his training ended.

Personality: Arthur is a brave and responsible person. Also a little stubborn. Hates bullies the most and loves to cook.
