Seeing Tortetart go down, Anchor presses forward, closing the gap between him and the melee. Falling down to one knee, mostly out of exhaustion from his mad dash, he puts himself as between the beast and Tortetart as he can.

Looking behind him, he places a hand on Tortetart's shell.

"Not today, my friend. Mishakal did not send you to Nightstone to become dog food!" Anchor says, as a warm glow passes from his hand and into Tortetart.

Turning back to the dog, "As for you, why don't you try me for your next meal!", Anchor shouts.

@GRMBRN is up!
Anchor turns to look for the source of the second goblins demise, and sees Ealwald standing there. A brief look of disappointment appears on Anchor's face at the loss of what could have been a decent source of information. He shakes it off, however. It's not everyday that one comes face to face with threats such as goblins, and sometimes self preservation is the best option.

Realizing the bell was still too loud for him to shout over, Anchor makes his way back to the entrance of the temple. He uses his now drawn trident as a walking stick, and as he passes Ealwald he gives him a supportive pat on his shoulder.

Once at the entrance to the temple, he shouts again. "Goblins about! Watch out for anymore!"

Anchor glances to his left towards the town square where he sees Marcon and Tortetart advancing towards what appears to be two large dogs fighting over a body. Looking closer, he recognizes the body as that of one of the elves from the caravan. Pushing off the ground with his trident, Anchor advances towards the group to aid them.
"Goblins!", Anchor bellowed over the dying ringing of the bell. He hoped that he was loud enough for his fellow investigators outside, and perhaps even those remaining with the caravan, to hear. From what he knew of goblins, they prefer to stay in groups. Anchor knew these two couldn't be the only ones around.

Anchor pulled his trident from his back and shook off the cloth that was lightly wrapped around its business end. "Let's try to keep one of these things alive so they can tell us whats going on.", he said, as he entered the room along side Galen.

Anchor swung the trident broadly, trying to knock the goblin who was last ringing the bell out.

The little thing was too fast for Anchor, however, and it jumped over the swinging trident with ease.

@GRMBRN
Other than Theren, Marcon is the only one to make it above a 10.

Good news, Theren, you'll be going before the Hell Hounds. Marcon, maybe you'll be lucky and they'll have rolled low.
7 for initiative.

Should that go in IC as well?
Anchor took in the sight of the temple as he and Galen passed through it, trying to see if he could determine who the primary deity of this place of worship was.

Anchor moved closer to the western door, staying close behind Galen as he led the way. "Aid has arrived!", he shouted over the bell. "What has happened here?"

Figured I'd take the time to do the rolls on my lunch.

Anchor's gonna take the "shut up and wait to see if it comes up again" approach, lol.

Anchor, who was mildly impressed with himself at how quiet he was moving, was surprised as Galen simply strode past him into the temple. He kept his stealthy pace, however. If an ambush was waiting, Anchor would be there to help once the trap was sprung.

As Galen shared his all too familiar story, Anchor's grey face grew pale. Despite remembering the fateful day of his redemption with Tortetart just a bit ago, Anchor tried as best he could to move past what he was redeemed of. Was this man one of his victims? Did he know who Anchor was? He had heard of others attempting his old feat of strength, maybe someone else had taken up the trick?

Anchor shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts as there were more important matters to attend to at the moment.
I can provide investigation and perception roles for the temple later this evening, don't even want to try while on mobile, lol.

And damn, gotta figure out how Anchor's gonna react to that new knowledge.
