Orin didn't recognized the red ribbon army symbol, it wasn't what bothered him and he didn't really want to tell his story now. so he replied to Violet saying, "Nothing, I just am not use to seeing your kind at all."

After he saw Alice almost about to attack Violet but stopped, Orin felt something far away from their location, it was a not very good feeling, someone with a lot of power was somewhere far away and they were doing harm to innocent people. he wondered if the others felt it too.

"do you two feel that? it's someone's power level, I think we should investigate" he said to Alice and Violet.
"my name is Orin" he said nervously to Violet, he was wary of both her and Alice now, androids had been the things responsible for a lot of the deaths of his people when his island was conquered. what if both of these machines were sent to do evil things like ones he had seen before? from the sound Alice's denial of being one, she obviously didn't know this which was strange, after all why would a machine need to eat food to stay alive? he was contemplating whether to leave or not, he remain there until he found out why he had found Violet lying there on the ground.
some skulls back in the Hidden Rain may get smashed when Maiko returns. he is a little pissed at being lied to his entire life.
Maiko looked at Seranai with utter shock, "what?!"

he couldn't believe what he had heard, how could there be a another Jinchuuruki from his village? they told him he was the only one. they had lied to him and right now he felt several emotions, one was shock, another was disbelief and then anger. he had been told a lie his entire life, they had let him believe ever since he was a baby that he was alone in his alienation in the village with only Isobu as his companion. he would have many angry things to say to those who had known about Seranai being a Jinchuuruki.

"They lied to me, I'm from the Hidden Rain as well. I'm not the only Jinchuuruki, did you know about this?" he asked the girl in a serious and somewhat angry voice.
Damn I did it again

The difference between the star wars republic and the Shinobi republic is that the Shinobi republic doesn't act as a governing body over everything - each shinobi village still has control over their respective armies, so to speak, meaning they have to keep each other in check. The Star Wars Senate was, quite literally, one single nation. In truth, there is very little similarities between the two republics. The only way I see this changing is if the republic shinobi nations all agreed to become one nation, so to speak, and choose one supreme leader, or supreme Kage. But until that happens, the critical fact each village is capable of thinking for and leading itself adds credibility.EDIT: Or I might just have misread some of the backstory if any of that turns out to be wrong.

Regardless, the great nations are the backbone of the republic and things that involve the great nations aren't always good for minor villages

I'm imagining this republic as some kind of giant UN for Shinobi villages/factions/nations instead of one giant ruling political power.

Still, remember star wars? The sith took power because they sold the deception of an enemy to the galactic republic, so just because it's a UN type of republic doesn't mean that evil schemes can't be hatched from within it
