Ryan unsheathed his zanpakuto before shunpoing a short distance away, partially as a means to keep Kazuya from being caught in the fight, as well as so that Canaan could be prepared before-hand. He pointed his zanpakuto at Canaan before calling out "Choose between one and six. The higher the number, the more spiritual energy I'll be releasing throughout this fight." He stood there, getting ready to release any amount of spiritual pressure that he had available to him, based on her choice. (it's not that short, pretty sure mine's shorter *isn't taking the time to compare*)

The young female only watched as the young Captain moved back away from the raven haired Shinigami. Now her opponent, golden orbs narrowed slightly further than normal. Both looking of focus and still slightly uneasy at having to face a Captain. When the blade was pointed towards her from the male, she heard a humming within the back of her mind. Dokuga simply reminding Kyoko of his presence, they were one in the same after all. Nodding quickly at the statement, it didn't take long for the white haired female to make a choice. "Two." She stated simply, her right hand coming to rest on the hilt of her Zanpakuto (although she was ambidextrous), her gaze never leaving the Captain before her - now opponent. Exhaling slowly, Kyoko gave a simple nod of the head towards the Shinigami before her, showing that she was then ready for this test of hers to begin.

Ryan (future)Ryan raised an eyebrow as Kazuya said that he wouldn't be comfortable sparring. He glanced to Canaan who had seemed to have already accepted the idea, figuring he'd be the one sparring against her if Kazuya really wouldn't do it. (btw, Ryan isn't thinking the names, I'm just using them to be specific) He then nodded before handing him the papers to join. "I'll be testing you out in a different way then, keep these while I take your place in the sparring, then." He looked to Canaan, "Unless you'd also prefer a different testing method?"

At the response she received from the Captain, the white haired Shinigami merely remained silent for the time being. It didn't take long for what appeared to be now the two of them to wait, then again. To Canaan at least, it didn't seem like the raven haired Shinigami near her was the type to join the Third. Then again, others hadn't commented that she didn't either, more fit for the Second Division, but she'd rather not. That just meant extra training around the academy, and she'd already had far enough of that. Walking as the Captain motioned for them to follow him, informing the both that they would be sparring against one another. Well that was certainly interesting. It was only a few minutes later that they then reached the training grounds for the Squad, at least one of the more public ones anyhow. Soon hearing the other's total reluctance to spar, it only confused her. But for the meantime, she thought nothing of it. Glancing towards the Captain, the white haired female blinked once, she was going to be tested against the Captain himself? Oh this was going to be interesting at the very least. Hearing the question put to her, already standing ready the young female shook her head briefly before speaking. "No Captain, this is fine." Was the smooth reply, and if she was facing the Captain then..... best to get this over quickly... was the only thought she could bring to the subject.

(Sorry it's so short!)
The sound of the bell was only followed by a groan from a certain raven haired teen, did they have to do that so bloody early? Or had they never heard of the words 'getting more sleep', it was a Sunday dammit! Was there no one who wanted to sleep more around here apart from him? This lot were always so quick to do as they were told, and with it being still the weekend. Shin really couldn't be bothered to even move. He was far too tired from all the happenings yesterday, as well as that little word that someone new was coming to live around here. Like he really cared. It wasn't too long before he heard a fist slamming on her door hard, forcing him to turn his head. No longer buried into his own pillow, soon hearing a female voice behind the door, one that didn't sound happy at all. "Shin, get out here right now. I won't ask again young man." Shin didn't need to be a genius to work out who was speaking in an annoyed tone towards him, Sister Mary Lawrence of course. Who else bugged him at seven thirty in the morning. "Fuzakeruna!" He called back in an irritated tone, it was too early and therefore not speaking in English was normal for him.

A few moments of waiting there was another knock, the young male now slightly more awake. He knew if he didn't move, that woman would come in, and he didn't want a repeat of last week. No thank you. "Alright alright, I'm comin'." Shin spoke, the hint of an accent behind his words. The elder male didn't take long to become dressed for the day, having washed just before hand. In between then already hearing others rushing downstairs, floorboards creaking slightly under the increased weight. Running a hand through his hair once heading out, firmly locking the door shut behind him. He'd found others trying to sneak in there before after all, before following most others downstairs. It was only around ten minutes later did one of a few familiar faces make her own little way downstairs, only causing a small chuckle to escape the young male. She'd slept in again then, like most of the long time stayers here, no one wanted to get up. Gazing around while eating as he normally did, comfortably settled at the far end of the room, giving Shin a good view of all the comings and goings. Well.. he had to entertain himself somehow so early in the morning, right?
Thank you, shall I assume it's fine to post now then?
Annnd edited.
Can do.
Character Sheet

Name: Shin Hinomiya

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance:

If you are an orphan, why are you?: Was abandoned by his parents at the age of one. Was living on the streets until picked up at the age of twelve.

Bio: Shin isn't one to talk about his past, considering it's not a very happy story after all. He has no memory of his parents or any family, or even if he ever had any to begin with. One thing he does know however, is where he originally came from, that being far across vast seas on the shores of Kyoto, Japan. Having been found wandering those streets and taken in by a couple, before then being transferred to Pemberton Children’s Home two weeks later at the age of twelve. Having to learn how to speak their language, it became clear that Shin wasn't just your normal fast learner. Despite two years later being discovered as some what of a genius, still no one comes anywhere near him. Shin is known as the troublemaker of the group, always making it harder for the sisters to deal with him. He can be very kind when he wants to be, but that in itself is rare as this young man wants nothing more than to be out of as he calls it 'this god forsaken hell'. Being a naturally curious person, he has tried to open the door quite a few times in his five year stay, all times having to leave due to nearly getting caught. It is very very hard to anger this young man, Shin as far as the sister's say never having started shouting or yelling in anger throughout his whole time here, however, when or if it does happen. The male normally reverts to his mother tongue of Japanese, this includes when being frustrated, annoyed or generally irritated as well.

Kazuya remained sat behind a tree within the large park in the Seireitei, the leaves from the tree let specks of sunlight through them which coated the book Kazuya was reading, this book in question was one about Squads. Kazuya was just worried about fitting into a Squad and well...combat was an issue...he could do it, he knew he could...it was his Shikai...he had been forced to use it a few times and to him it was terrifying so if he could join a Squad where combat wasn't to large and was just simple enough that he could use Kido then it would be alright. Kazuya scanned through the book once more before closing it and closing his eyes, letting a small breath escape his lungs before mumbling to himself "I hope I'm making the right choice..." Kazuya then stood up then held the book against his chest with his right hand and forearm as his left hand went into his pocket, Kazuya then peeked slowly around the tree to see if anyone was around but it seemed pretty empty...now was the time to go. Kazuya left the spot where he had been sat and stuck to the wall of the park as to try stay out of the way, his vision was mostly set to the ground as he watched his own footsteps, he'd only occasionally look up to make sure he wasn't going to walk into something or even worse...someone. Kazuya then managed to leave the park and stepped into one of the many streets of the Seireitei, he could instantly hear the voices of many Shinigami which made him gulp as he stepped out into the street and began making his way to the Third Division barracks, once again his vision was set to the ground as he wanted to avoid eye contact with any other people and thankfully he managed to do so until he got to the gates of the Third Division. Kazuya looked up slightly to see the guards there then he looked back down and spoke rather quietly "I-I'm here to join the Squad..." The Guards looked at eachother then shrugged as one spoke "" Kazuya gave a light bow then quickly walked past both the guards and made his way quickly into the barracks as he tried to find his way around. Thankfully the halls were pretty empty which was a good thing, he followed the few signs there were that led him to the Captains office but when he poked his head around the corner he could see a girl standing outside of the office which caused him to promptly look back down at the ground as he took a deep breath and quietly made his way around the corner, he walked down the hall towards the Captains office then once he got there he stood with his back against the wall opposite to the Captains office and pulled his left hand out his pocket and placed it on his book, holding it against his chest with both his hands, his vision remained focused on the ground and his feet as he moved his feet very little, he didn't really want to look up at the girl...for some reason he found Females more intimidating than the Males...

Julia followed Kenta back to the barracks, having completed their mission. (thanks for pushing that end to the mission along Expllo) She hadn't really used much energy in this mission either, but let Kenta do the talking until afterwards. "Alright, now that's over, we take him back, and then I head back to my own barracks." Ryan (past, AKA, talking to Miyume)Ryan glanced to Miyume as she began asking a large number of questions. He waited until she seemed completely finished before he began his response. "I promised a week of research, and that's what will happen, but the children might find a way to escape after that week if squad twelve doesn't let them go. As for the hollow masks... I'm not a hollow, I'm a vaizard. Those kids might be part hollow, but I don't know, that's why they're in squad twelve's barracks... As for eating hollows, no, that's for hollows to do, vaizards are different. Vaizards are mostly shinigami, with a small bit of hollow in them that allows them to use more power than normal for short periods of time while the mask is worn. We have a counter-part known as Arrancars, but as far as I know, there are none currently. If you do ever see what looks like a shinigami with part of a hollow mask on their face then it's a vaizard." He glanced back towards squad twelve, before answering the last of all the questions, "I became a vaizard due to some crazy scientest's experimentation... Who it is, or where, I don't know, but that scientist is what made me this..."Ryan (FUUUUUUTUUUUUUUUURE! AKA, talking to Canaan)Ryan had been working on some paper work in his office, thinking about the children slightly before he heard a knock on his office door. He glanced up, not recognizing the spiritual pressure. He stood up, walking to the door. He opened the door and looked at the woman who had knocked. "Hello." He glanced where their squad sign usually would be, but didn't see it. He waited for the response, as well as explanation as to why they were there, if it would come then. He didn't see Kazuya behind Canaan, however, as he was only a child compared to most shinigami, and hadn't even grown to full size yet.

Once having released her clenched hand back to her side, in between waiting for some kind of answer (she knew to wait at least for a few minutes after all). It didn't take a genius to hear the footsteps approaching, turning to look over her shoulder. The young female spotted none other than a raven haired male approaching from the other end of the corridor at a rather slow place. Possibly a member of the third? To her, he didn't seem like one, but you could never tell these days. Then again, she wasn't even two hundred and she was already thinking in such a manner, man, that just made her feel even older! Looking at the male for a moment, eyes flashing red briefly as her gaze remained fixed for a few minutes. Maroon, the color of apprehension, her mind rang out. Crimson eyes soon returning to their normal golden hue as Canaan watched the male cling onto the both held within both arms, as if it were some kind of lifeline. Blinking once, the young female let her body move to turn around towards the other's direction soon speaking. "Hey, are you alright?" Was the question asked, in a tone different from her normal cold and indifferent one and yet she had no idea why. Things like this were rare... weren't they?

The white haired female didn't get time to think to hard on the subject, the door to the Captain's office coming open with a small clicking sound. Golden hues changed their focus quickly, turning only to look down at the male standing in front of her. The haori easily catching her eye, so this was the Captain then. Certainly young for his age, but she wasn't here to judge far far from it actually. With a small bow of the head to show respect (considering it would be quite pointless to do any further than that at the moment), the young Shinigami then spoke. "I apologize for the interruption Captain. However, I have come to request to join your Squad, as I graduated the academy around a month ago." Canaan didn't think that extra information would help, but it was worth a shot. Even throughout that time away from the academy or any of the Gotei 13. She had not lazed around, far from it, training daily both with her Zanpakuto and without. The young Shinigami could only hope that she hadn't messed things up already.
I might join this, is it open?
