Before I get into too much of the information here, I will say That this RP likely wont start until AFTER Christmas! Small chance it will start before, but don't lean on that chance.

This RP will be its own twist on the idea of the kingdom After the fall of King Arthur, the loss of many of the Knights (despite how few there were left), and the kingdoms attempts to rebuild.

While it will be affected by the true Round Table myths, it likely will not follow them.

Please forgive me, while I know A LOT, and am a decent source of random notes, I am no historian. Errors and mistakes are gunna happen, and while I enjoy learning, you have no right to cram it down my, or my Role-player's throats.

_

Alright, with no further delays, lets get into the fun details (Other expectations will be in a following section, and I wille respond to questions in the replies to the best of my ability)

This RP takes place in the Historical-Fiction of Old-world Britannia, just after the rule of Arthur Pendragon and his Knights of the Round Table. The Setting will be further twisted so that it does not match other RP's, Movies, or the like.

You will NOT be playing as the Knights of the round table- there would simply be too few alive.
(Side Note, This Round table had the following knights;

King Arthur(1)(Died of mysterious illness)
Sir Lancelot(2)(Executed for treason)
Sir Kay And Sir Ector(3)(Death by combat, then death by old age) (Kay was the Sword, and fought in his father's stead, while his father managed the estate and political affairs)
Sir Percival(4)(Missing)
Sir Gawain(5)
Sir Bors(6) (Missing)
Sir Gareth(7) (Died In Combat)
Sir Galahad(8) (Died In Combat)
Sir Bedivere(9) (Died In Combat)
Sir Caradok(10) (Died in Combat)
Sir Tristan(11) (Missing, presumed dead)
King Leodegrance(12) (Died In Combat).

(Forgive me for the list length)

"So what's the catch, Mr Zahrale?"
The Catch? You're a Soldier. One of the last foot soldiers of round table, and you serve Sir Gawain. You are one of the last battalions, and you have been pushed back by rebelling kingdoms all the way to the last remaining quarter of Camelot- most of the once glorious keep has crumbled, the walls tarnished, the keep itself is long since turned to dust, and the only one among the soldiers who has any ability to combat the enemy is Sir Gawain.

"So wait, let get this straight, you expect us to fight an unknown enemy we have no knowledge about?"
"This is WAR, Maggot!"

"So how do we "Win"?"
Restore Camelot.... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

Okay no, I'm not that mean, Two lucky contestants will be chosen for a special role, they will not be allowed to tell you, nor will they know until they know in RP... or... at least that's one of them. The other one Will know, and his/her goal is to undermine EVERYTHING, become King/Queen, Restore a Tainted Camelot, and Essentially set up the start to a New rp.... Btw! whichever ruler "wins", there will be a more PvP centered follow-up rp.

A Ruler wins when there are 12 knights in their round table, Have found either the sword Excalibur, or the "Sword Of Quality"

"What about-"
Merlin, Morgan, The Lady of the Lake, The Smiling Prince, and The Grey Baron Will NOT come to your aide! Merlin is missing, Morgan is presumed dead, The Lady of the lake refuses to talk to anyone, and the Fae are eerily quiet. You are on your own, with no magic, no supernatural help and with only one elite knight to lead you against a foe you know nothing about until the start of the RP.

With that being said... I'm hoping for at least 6 players, with myself taking the role of one of the knights and all the NPC's I will allow a few more cards in your hand to make it easier. I will allow not only 2 Ruler types (who have minor plot armor), but two Changelings (Human/Fae offspring with some... gifts ;3) as well! The other two, sadly will be human- but do not fret dear humans! you can still achieve victory and power yourselves! there are a lot of knights and potential items of extreme power that can set you on your way! Including items from fallen knights that will be found early on, and lead to your own Knighthood.

Just to summarize, there's a lot of ways this RP can go...
First goal: Achieve Knighthood and gather power
Second Goal; either Align yourself with an identified Ruler, Or find a way to defeat the growing threats yourself.
Final Goal; accomplish anything you have not already- if you aligned, follow your ruler into battle and save your kingdom, or if the kingdom is safe, turn towards the politics and align with a Ruler to strengthen the kingdom.

(There are a few. . . Optional things. . . Hehehehe~)

As a note for Roles (Being a Ruler or a Changeling), you will be assigned one based one a few things;
1: How many people desire the roles
2: a Dice roll/Gamble to thin the herd
3: whether or not people change their mind.

What I expect:
At least 1 paragraph of decent Typing, I'm no perfectionist, but don't sell it short!

Tell me if you do not like the role you could get- I won't be upset! Don't force yourself to deal with a problem you are not ready for.

On the off hand, there HAS to be two rulers- If you the last person I ask, take one for the team, and remember, there's a reason King Arthur had 11 other knights at a table! It's not a job he chose to do alone, and you most certainly don't have to handle it all yourself either!

What you can expect from me;
I'm not going to drop you into Hell, It's meant to be Hard, not impossible.

I'm open to suggestion and complaint- Not fact and force feeding. If I wanted to make this Picture-perfect, I could take the year and a half to study what I'm unsure about, and make this a vomited rehash that's stuck within the confines History. Not Fun.

I'm best known by my friends for Easy, fun, and enjoyable RP's where I tend to Over-spoil my players... c: Here, Have a cookie. (That doesn't mean I wont bite you and give you a dragon to slay though..... )

(FORESHADOWING?!)

Once more, Feel free to ask questions or comment down below, or PM me if you have more personal questions or concerns. Please don't spam my replies and make it hard for me to get to the important stuff. Let me know if your game!

(I'll have a list of people who are up for it right under here! I will also update this post to make it more fitting to people just now finding it, so keep an eye open!)

Late Joiners will be given a normal knight, but also be adjusted to match the average of the remaining knights! Day until Roles are Picked: 7

Silly, silly People.

(Btw, Runic, I may or may not have one or two Char's for you to look at.)
I agree Demonic, and he's my friend lol (Bring Lask Back!)
Why tho
Nawh....
. . . KK
Allow me to explain why the Posts will have a turn and why I started with only ONE char at a time, the first two posts will be to build your character and slip you into lore, so that you can function well, Each player will get 2 turns to introduce themselves to, well, themselves, then they will join the party. This way everyone has a Story to let unfold, however this is in fact pretty much an "Improv", i will feed you some fact, and using what you know you will build your own story for yourself.

In this way you will not be "Railroaded" into being uninterested, but at the same time you are given a good, well paved road so you are not choking on the dust. (Such is to say, I will give you enough to breathe easy and in comfort as you roleplay.)
Posts will have a "Expected Turn", GM will always have "First Call", Infamous Empath is the First Player, Other players will follow once details are squared.

the Next will be Wadesauce, Runic still has a detail to square out.
The Dale-Hallow, The Isles of the Last, The Towers Of The Ancients. These Isles are the targets of Thieves, Explorers and Knights alike, as shining beacons of wealth, power, and opportunity. Everyone from every walk of life, and every nation would travel here to test themselves against the people who live in these towers and their monstrous masters. The thought of Wealth and Power to be gained from the towers, to say nothing of the Glory and Honor in battle that would be won there.

These hill and tower isles stand alone in the far north- just before the ice flows, and where the cold and hot air battle in ripping tempests, it is hard to bring a ship to harbor in these Isles, and the first one to reach the beach is inclined to kill the others, they are dead weight, and making a distraction that is a meal for the beasts of the isle is your best chance to survive. Of course. Accidents, poor planning, and mistakes are often made.

As a princible, The Men of Huir and the Men of Locianth don't have superior armies, they are busy battling each other as petty kingdoms do, but there's always cuts above the rest. Having heard of the towers and the items within Luqas, ( @Infamous Empath ), your story drew you here to seek a Chalice, the Chalice of Ancients, to heal your mother, and your kingdom. With it's waters you would reforge a kingdom of peace, and wealth, you would bring back the light to the darkening skies of your home, which has long since slumbered under failing business, military disaster and regicide of horrific degree. You bring health and life back to streets that run slick with blood from what is likely some sickening curse, you did your research and found where the chalice resides, the tower of the Burning Skies, the largest of the Towers of Dale-Hallow. Of course, your people held many stories on these towers, and some are not so kind. . . Legends of the last 6 immense beasts who bring terror and fear reside in these towers with corrupt men and women to guard their vile lairs. Perhaps you were not afraid after all? It does not matter.

In your travels your had found passage with the vile and diabolic Hyphonian kin, as dark and horrific as they be, no ship flows with the waves faster, and no passage would be safer. Or so you thought. Luqas would awake to the smell of blood and the stench of Sea-rot, splinters of bone, armor and ship lie about him in heaps and scraps, men and women both trained and seasoned torn asunder by stone and wave alike, strewn about like some demons playground, save all but two, a Hyphonian sailor known as "Avmael" and Luqas himself, both near each other and bother Relatively unharmed. Luqas however is the first one Awake of the two.

This is where his story begins, and where many others shall soon join, Will you all fall one by one, or will you uncover the grim and sad truths of Dale-Hallow? Take up your sword, and write your own destiny.
Actually, I'm convinced i could start it now, But i was distracted. It was fine to let it sit for a day or day more anyway, just in case.
