Seeking Game to join....

I am a dedicated Role player. I have been playing rp games (mostly d&d) for a couple decades. I have experience playing table top, on forums via PbP, and RP through chat. I was a member of a rp site for the past 11 years, some of the games on there I played in for over 6 +years, the site unfortunately is crumbling so I am currently seeking a new place to get my RP fix.
I am mostly versed in D&D versions 1- 3.5 but I do have 5e material as well, I have the materials for GURPS, Mutants and Masterminds, and other games but have not had the opportunity to experience those at any great length. I only play Medieval fantasy rps, though I can occasionally be convinced into taking on other roles, but my heart lies with the elves, dwarves, gnomes, dragons and similar lot. I don't mind free form so long as it has set parameters. I hope to find a game or two here to join. I would really no REALLY love the opportunity to roleplay my aventi warlock character, I started her in several games but the games fizzled, so I'd love to get the opportunity to use that character. But in the end, I'm just looking for a good friendly rp game to join. I've free formed 1 on 1, but never actually played D&D 1-1 so I am not opposed to trying it.
I believe I am a 'decent' writer, however grammar Nazis might not agree. However, generally speaking grammatical errors are on purpose due to dialect or expression. I have the natural gift of gab, so I probably wouldn't do so well in one liner games, so para games are probably a better choice for me. I'm not a fan of 'rulehounds' but it's the DM's prerogative to run his or her games as they see fit, those games are just not for me. To each his own, it's all about having fun. I believe mechanics are necessary on most platforms in order to maintain order and create balance. Though I do not believe that because they are in a book they are etched in stone as they can not accommodate all situations.
My favorite setting is DragonLance, never knew why, just loved the stories I guess. I have dozens of the DL novels I have read. Not the best reads in the world, but I fell in love with the characters. I have DM'ed but do not feel I am very good at it so I avoid it if possible. Though in freeform games the 'dming' is pretty much a joint effort and that I do not mind contributing.

Greetings all! I am Zamara,(the name was mine long before the movie The Ring ever came out! Just sayin..) usually it ends up shortened to just 'Z', not sure why. I am hoping to find a few new RP games to join. Not great at the small talk but don't judge my writing abilities on this little ditty. I've been Rping for a couple of decades now. Thank the gods for those elixirs of youth! :)
I am mostly familiar with D&D I have most all materials for editions 1e, 3 and 3.5 and 5e. But I am most versed with 3.5 and 1e, 2e right now, but am eager to experience more of the 5e. However, I am not beholden to any of them, my interest is the actual RP, whether it be, D&D any version, GURPS, Mutants and Masterminds, etc, etc. I don't do modern. I might be tempted to try something syfyish, but I am most comfortable with medieval fantasy genres my elves, dwarves, clerics, mages, etc. I am a DragonLance fan, for no other reason than I like the stories ie characters. But I am open to any settings, just most familiar with DL. In the end the ultimate goal for me is to find some good company to rp with ....it's all about the story for me.
