1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

I thought your post was good, too, @ThunderCrash. Appropriate amount of detail and bringing everything together.
@MiddleEarthRozeMia is approved! :) Sorry that took so long; I had a Great Wall of Rules to write.

If Mia is watching the parade from the crowds, then you can jump right into the action whenever you want.

Also, @ThunderCrash, I forgot to address a question of yours. You can mention other avatars, but please try not to make them too detailed. For example, you talked about Zapdos. If someone wanted to make a Zapdos character down the road, I don't want them to be stuck with your description. I haven't actually read your IC post yet, so don't think I'm trying to make you change anything. It's just something to keep in mind.
As for everyone else's questions:

I would've liked to have a lot of control over the enemy Pokemon, but since I work so much during the week, that wouldn't be fair or practical for anyone. I ask that you don't do anything majorly OP like take out three enemies at once. I worked the numbers in the hopes that every avatar and Pokemon that wants to contribute could do so. It might be best if each fighter goes through a battle with one enemy, but that's just my opinion, and you can figure out something else as long as it's fair and realistic. Alternatively, members could co-op with another member, with each playing the other person's enemy NPC(s). Of course, I might step in and throw a curveball if/when I have time.

Since anyone might play the NPCs, I'll give some more background on them. Each Pokemon is at level 25. That would make the unevolved ones pretty similar to the avatars' fighting abilities, with the evolved ones being a tougher challenge. Each of the Pokemon have Self-Destruct (except Gourgeist, which has Explode) along with five other moves. They are trained to automatically blow up when their HP reaches about 1/4, so massive destruction can be done even if the Alliance is doomed to lose. Remember that one Pokemon is guarding each trainer. The Alliance members will try to flee if things turn south and have one more trick up their sleeves to do so. So, please don't outright annihilate them until they've had their chance.

While we're here talking about battle rules, I want to talk about character death. It is possible for Pokemon and avatars to die, but the damage must be well beyond the scope of a normal battle. Unless there is a major level difference, it would be very rare to accidentally kill a Pokemon or avatar in battle. Keep in mind that this is not a crazy video game world where killing is commonplace. Murder is a serious offense, and there may be legal or other consequences. I don't really expect anyone to let their PCs die until possibly near the very end, but it is a possibility. If your avatar dies, you may create another one without penalty. I'll applaud you for your dedication to plot and realistic battling. If this happens a second time, though, I'll give other people a chance to join the RP before letting you have another character. I know there are some people *ahem, my stepbrother* who constantly jump between character to character, and that's not what I want. Avatar death would be a HUGE deal, and it might have dire consequences to the world, depending on what the Pokemon represents.

As for the Power Plague, ThunderCrash was right. The Plague has mostly run its course in most civilized areas. It is practically eradicated in most of the mainland (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh). It still exists as a minor threat in other regions (Unova, Kalos, Orre, etc.) and a moderate threat to outlying areas far from civilization. The virus has not died out, but rather, most Pokemon have already caught it and seem to be unable to catch it again.

If you have any more questions, just let me know. :)
@MiddleEarthRozeIt's interesting how the Pokemon of Truth has affected Mia's life, and I'm interested to see how she'll react when truth hurts. A fire type will be a nice addition to the team, too. I only have a couple issues, and they're both with Scarlet. #1, Where did that moveset come from? I couldn't find a single one on the list of moves naturally learned by Vulpix or Ninetales. I'd like characters to start out with mostly naturally learned moves. #2, Where and how did Scarlet/Mia get a Flame Plate? I might let you keep it if you can give a reasonable answer, but I'm not going to let you keep a unique and powerful item like that without an explanation.
Back from a great day of LARP for the first time since November. :) Sorry I haven't been available today, but I should have quite a bit of time tomorrow. I plan to go through and attend to any questions/issues around 12:30 pm GMT tomorrow, starting with the new character.
I'm up for any and all collabs. Just confirm it with me here or with a PM. The bad guys have more up their sleeves, though, so please don't take the liberty of outright killing them without consulting me first. Killing their Pokemon would be ok, just not the humans unless I tell you otherwise. Keep in mind there are three trainers at different parts of the parade, so it might be best to target the one closest to you... but not mandatory. Also, I'll be busy for most of today.
Post is posted. Let the carnage commence!

If you didn't get your parade post in, you can talk about what you did in your next post and then move on to how you respond to my last post. If that made any sense. It's past my bedtime.
As the colorful procession wound through the streets of Mauville City, wave upon wave of equally colorful fans cheered and took photos of the avatars. Everyone was ecstatic to see the parade and appeared to be having a great time at the festival. The awe and admiration seemed no different as the procession passed through a major street about three-fourths into its journey.

"Brothers and sisters in humanity!" an amplified voice rang out from the crowd. "I urge you to think twice about who you're cheering for!"

The crowd, for the most part, paid no heed to the man's words. They quickly became more attentive when he released four Pokemon: Golem, Koffing, Pineco, and Gourgeist. A few screams of terror rang out when two more figures released a handful of Pokemon. A man near the front of the parade stood by his Koffing, Pineco, Baltoy, and Gourgeist. A woman near the back displayed a Golem, Koffing, Pineco, and Baltoy. As the crowd panicked to move away from the threatening trainers, their matching attire could be seen more clearly from atop the floats. They each wore a white hooded robe, spiked leather gloves, and an emblem of a broken chain on their chests.

"For too long," the man near the center of the parade declared through a megaphone, "we humans have suffered under the whims of Pokemon like the legendaries. They have used their brute power to subjugate and torment us, we who reserve the natural right to rule with our superior intelligence and ingenuity! And NOW," the man gestured broadly toward the avatars, "these so-called 'people' think they have the right to lord it over all of us, just because some Pokemon thought they were special? The Alliance of Justice fights for the common man, and--"

"Enough of this!"

Some of the crowd dared to look toward the new voice and discovered it belonged to Justine. The woman's harsh tone and frigid expression managed to command attention even without a megaphone. Her grey eyes pierced into the group's leader as she stood to speak.

"I don't care what noble cause you claim to fight for," the CEO announced. Porygon-Z hovered closer to its trainer, preparing for action. "We will not tolerate any threats to the citizens and guests of-"

The leader of the Alliance nodded toward two of his Pokemon. The Golem grabbed the Koffing and hurled it toward the Porytech float. Justine and her Pokemon barely had time to gasp before the poison type Self-Destructed. Fire and thick smoke engulfed the float in an earth-shaking blast; chunks of splintered wood and warped metal hurtled several rows into the crowd.

The parade-goers were in full panic now, screaming, running, and shoving each other to escape the attackers. The enemy Pokemon charged toward the floats, knocking over anyone unfortunate enough to block the way to the avatars. One Pokemon from each team remained behind to guard its sneering trainer.
A lot of people seem to be on right now, so there's something I wanted to discuss. It might be a buzzkill, so sorry in advance. Chimera hasn't posted in quite a while, she hasn't even been on the site for several days, and she previously talked about quitting the RP. She's always welcome back, but if she doesn't respond soon, I'll consider her out until further notice. I was thinking about re-opening the RP for one more member on Sunday or Monday. If anyone has any objections to one more member, let me know.

EDIT: Annnd I just missed the random flood of members. Oh well.
SO MUCH EXCITE!!!

As a celebration, I'm gonna think of something to give away to all the PCs. It might actually be a Max Revive, ironically enough, but I haven't decided for sure yet.

EDIT: Actually, I already thought of a better idea. The new games are Pokemon Sun and Moon. Once the festival is over, I will periodically give PCs the chance to catch other Pokemon. If the first Pokemon a PC catches can evolve with a Sun Stone or Moon Stone, that Pokemon will be SHINEH!
