Yu was all prepared for an explosion but was dumbfounded when all it did was fall to the ground and vanish. Leaving Yu standing there speechless. As he reverted his Shikai to it's sealed form, the Captain came, and he was expecting to hear that he failed, but was surprised when he was told he did good,and was predicted to fail, and that one slip up wasn't that bad. He then suggested going to Squad four to be patched up from the damage he took, and when he got back he would officially be apart of Squad One. Once the Captain left, Yu looked around the room that had his and the hollows he purified blood in it. Yu smiled slightly to himself as he did was the Captain suggest, and made his way towards the Squad four's building, he didn't even need a reason to come in. Once they saw him they opened the gates right away.

Yu strike didn't manage to kill it in one shot, which caused Yu to frown, which meant he failed the test, yet he still was going to finish the test no matter what. He saw the Hollow behind him reach for him. Yet Yu shunpoed right on it's head and stabbed his Shikai right into it's head until the blade itself wasn't able to be seen. He pulled it out and watched it fall to the ground, when he noticed that the other Hollow wasn't trying to attack him. he turned to see it expanding more and more, which made Yu grit his teeth. "I see your last trick." Yu then shunpoed over it and pointed his shikai at it. "I said I'd purify all of you guys, you are no exception." Yu said as he pierced his Shikai through it's head, and prepared himself for the explosion.
