My power is out. The website for the power company says it won't be restored until 11:30pm. If that's true, there will probably be no IC replies today.

Bio

My timezone is Eastern Standard, in case you need to know that sort of thing. I am very much a nerd, I like videogames and comic books. If you just want to chill and chat with me about videogames and comics, I'm totally down for that. I am more knowledgeable about the DC universe, when it comes to Marvel I know very little. My favorite Superhero is Superman and my favorite Batman villain is Mister Freeze, but I pretty much love all characters in the DC universe. As for video games, I usually stick in the range of anything with a good story. I've played the whole BioShock series, some of the Final Fantasys, both Portal games, all three of the Batman Arkham series and a whole bunch more. Right now I'm working on completing Persona 3 and 4, and Dragon Age Inquisition.

Thanks for the concern, it's really completely my fault for most of my anxiety (due to having a whole week off and my way of avoiding stress is to just not do anything that is stressing me out until my stress gets overwhelming and I literally cannot wait any longer, so I was doing homework for two full days and I'm still not finished with everything I've got to have done.) As for my mom, she should be alright, I'm trying to be as hopeful as I can about her boss stepping in and getting this all taken care of, since it was really ridiculous on why she's not going to be able to work there any longer.

You can have Jude spot Aiden if you want, I don't mind either way.

Preferences
*I will warn you all before you get too far, I do prefer romance in my roleplays, sorry, I'm more interested in them and this plot is MxM.

*Be able to give back what I give you, I would like you to be able to post a minimum of two paragraphs.

*I am fine with blood, gore and swearing but I don’t go into detail about sex(this is more about inexperience than anything else), not saying that it can't happen between our characters.

*I don't mind OOC talk so if you are one of those people that like to talk to others outside the roleplay, I'm absolutely fine with that.

*I don’t want any love at first sight kind of things going on, there are times where characters already know each other and have hidden crushes, but I would like to bring out the hidden crush thing, instead of within the first few posts they've already decided to date.

*So I know you've read all these tell me your favorite flavor of cake or pie, I will not respond if you do not have this.

*If you have any ideas for the role-play or you want to say “Hey, how about we do this…” Tell me, I'd love to hear it! My favorite part of roleplaying is tossing around ideas.

*I am a college student with a job, but I will try and get a reply to you at least twice a week, and I will keep you updated if I do not have the time to post for a long time please return the favor

*If there is anything else you want to know please feel free to ask me, I don't bite.

Alright so onto the plot, this is all I have so far, but I would love to expand on this idea with whoever is interested!

I'm thinking about it taking place in a privately owned bookstore, owned by one guy who isn't really social in any way. Though, this store isn't normal, odd things happen in it every day and the only one who doesn't seem effected by it is the person that owns the bookstore. Somehow this owner hires a new worker. Well, saying that the store owner actually hired this man would be incorrect, this man just kind of decided to work for this man and refused to leave the shop. Now the two of them work in the bookstore and live together in the small apartment above the shop. This worker can either by some person just off the streets that was looking for a job or maybe a detective in disguise trying to figure out what is going on at this bookstore. (This will probably be more of a slice of life roleplay, with some plot to it)

Oh, no, just having to deal with my anxiety constantly rising because I'm extremely behind on my homework and every time I try to do it, it just makes me more anxious. Plus, my mom gave us some bad news about losing her job because of a really senseless reason. So, I've been trying to get everything back together enough for me to breathe again. I'm hoping after next week, which is finals week (I'm lucky enough to have no actual exams this semester) I'll have everything in order again and tons more time to reply.

Aiden glanced over at the people behind him talking, they took it as a sign of needing to shut up and leave. That wasn't really what he was intending to do, but he couldn't exactly just say that he was eavesdropping because he was enjoying the praise. He just sighed and looked back at his work. He should have taken some time off to sleep, but he didn't want to skip work because he wasn't able to sleep as much as he used to. He had to make both of the jobs work, it made him less suspicious if the police ever decided to after him for vigilantism. He also enjoyed this job way too much to give it up, even if most of his other coworkers weren't really happy with him because he didn't like talking to anyone or gaining other friends. He had two other people that still even reached out to him and treated him like a friend rather than just another person that they worked with. Everyone else just ignored his existence unless the needed something from him or needed to talk to him for work. He was absolutely alright with that.

"Alright, Aiden, time to move. Let's get something to eat and some caffeine for you," A female voice ordered from behind the young scientist. Aiden turned to see a young african american girl, with freckles dotting all over her face and long, extremely curly, burgundy hair. She grinned at Aiden, who just stared back at her confused on her decision. "I'm not joking, we need to get something in that stomach of yours and get you to wake up. You're working too slow today." She put her hands on her hips as she waited for a response from her coworker.

"What are you talking about? Didn't you just have lunch, Annie?" Aiden asked.

"I did, but you skipped it, so I'm going to have second lunch and you're going to have lunch. Come on," She grabbed the young boy and pulled him up from his chair. "We'll get some hospital food or something."

"I-I'm not really hungry," Aiden muttered as he tugged back.

"You're not hungry? That's a lie, you need energy, Aid. Now get up, I'll pay," Annie sighed.

Aiden shook his head, "Seriously, I really don't need to eat."

Annie rolled her eyes and looked over at the others in lab, "We're going out for lunch break, anybody going to stop us?" There was complete silence from everyone else, including the higher ups. "I thought so. We'll be down in the cafeteria if anyone else needs anything." Annie then grabbed Aiden's wrist and pulled him to the elevators. Aiden didn't really argue, Annie sort of did her own thing no matter who told her no. The only time she followed what anyone told her what to do was when it was a higher up telling her how to do her job.

"Hey, Annie, I've been meaning to ask you something...Do you know who Dr. Jude Maxwell is?" He suddenly asked as the two of them got into the elevator alone and Annie pressed the button to the cafeteria.

"He's one of the head surgeons, I believe. Or something close to that, I've heard people talk about him before that's about it," Annie shrugged, "Why?"

"Oh...nothing, I just saw his name somewhere," Aiden muttered. He didn't want to go through the whole Annie teasing him about having a crush. She loved teasing him about it, and that was just something he didn't want to deal with. Ever since she found out that he was still single and that he was gay, she's made it her mission to find someone for him. He couldn't tell her that he couldn't date, that would have been rather difficult to explain and there wasn't a good enough lie to keep under control that would explain it for him. Though, she did look over at him, like she already knew that what he said was a lie, and she knew that something was going on.

Clark noticed the fact that the man was ready for a fight. Clark didn't plan on starting one unless he had good reason to, whether that be because this man decided to start a fight or if this man decided to harm the innocent. Though, he was quite sure that he could easily take this guy, as far as he was concerned The Batman didn't have any superpowers, but could have been because nobody's been able to report about them. He did have to be careful, but unless this guy knew about his weakness there wasn't much concern when it came to a fight. Even if this man did know about his weakness it wasn't like he had a chunk of kryptonite at the ready, not unless he was Lex Luthor, who seemed to be the only human being that carried around green kryptonite. He was almost positive that he'd win in a fight against The Batman, there wasn't really much stopping him from picking this guy up and bringing him to jail right now. It wouldn't be that hard with the superstrength and the ability to fly.

He wasn't too happy with the man's attitude as well, the body language showing that the man was ready for a fight, the way he spoke wasn't exactly welcoming. It wasn't like Clark was expecting the man to be extremely welcoming, but he was quite sure that this man already saw him as an enemy, which wasn't something he liked. He may have just gotten used to being treated like a hero everywhere, but either way it didn't make him too pleased to find out that this guy was all that pleasant to talk to. It made everything seem like this man wasn't really understanding the idea of being a hero. The public looked to them as idols, whether they liked it or not. This man was going to influence the way other people acted, and Clark was rather disappointed that it seemed like it wasn't going to be good for the people that idolised The Batman. That wasn't something Clark really needed to focus on right now though, there were more important factors to being a hero that did matter more.

"I came by to check out the new hero," Clark shrugged, finally figuring out an answer to the question. He couldn't just blurt out that he wanted to make sure that this guy was actually a good guy. Though, he was pretty sure that could be gathered by what he had just said. He couldn't cover up everything that he was doing, that'd be unfair and also a complete lie. He wasn't the best a lying. "I was hoping to see you in action, rather than meeting like this," Clark added to his already terrible explanation. He needed to talk to Lois about better ways to interrogate people. This already wasn't working out too well for him.
