And I'd rather not get an infection because of these cuts, so I'd like to see to them" Then she sighed, "We're only not human when we lose our humanity"

Humanity. How does one keep their humanity when they are cut up and whipped for being humane? It didn't add up, but Adalina wasn't about to say that out loud. She watched now as one of the guys took the floor exhibiting his control of fire. He seemed a little clumsy. Like he didn't care. She herself didn't have total control of her powers, but she at least cared. Who knows. Maybe she was reading him wrong. Anyways. It didn't matter.

O.O My mom drives me because her office is literally a 15 to 20 minute walk from campus. 15 to 20 with 30 pounds of stuff on your back.

And then there's me. Who can't drive yet. Who SHOULD be driving because school is a forty five minute drive from my house. But still doesn't have a license. Or a car. Or a life.

The Experiment

Adalina watched in amazement. The girl with the ability to control electricity. Even though Cassandra had mocked her, Adalina knew that the task could not have been easy. Electricity was perhaps the most difficult element to control as it seemed to have a mind of its own. She stood up and rejoined the group. "That was really cool." She said to the girl. She turned to Cassandra. "What's your ability?"
