Current And maybe most people don't like getting a single line back in response to a few paragraphs? Like whatever floats your boat, but there's a reason Free exists.

Then you'd just be crying about why it's permanent instead.

Well they only heard of rumors of this danger. They get all of a sudden. So i suppose the Sister could find some chainmail after the town is destroyed. But no one really knows anything about the zombies, the black magic and how it all works. Only rumors of a massive army a single Necromancer is conducting. Beforehand, everything was peaceful.

And usually, Sisters are protected by a army of Templars, not just one.

Ah. That makes things a lot clearer.
Just my two cents, but it would be horribly dumb for two characters (Sister and Templar) to both not consider the possibility of worst case scenarios. I could understand how the Sister's naivety and faith might play into the part of her declining extra protection due to simply not believing it a necessity, but it would be a fairly big oversight for the Templar to simply believe he's capable of protecting her from anything and not giving her an extra layer of protection just in case.

Then again maybe the two just aren't as pragmatic. Or something. Am working on the Sage.
Sage? Sure, I'll get a CS up for him.

I think that the previous use was better, but I still contend that 5 minutes is way too long for it to last. It could have some devastating results if it last 10-60 seconds.

Eh, changed it back to this then. Added another weakness.
Henzukaya said Love the semblance Zombehs, its really nice, I like the weapon the best, the semblance is used to confine these two? Wouldn't it be easier if it was a visible/spectral chain that only the users could touch? This would allow for better utilization and planning in combat for both players.

That was the original purpose. Now it's more of meant to disorient and confuse the opponent. You can probably imagine how suddenly losing the ability to move away from an opponent only to gain it back a few seconds later would confuse someone.
Earth is supposed to be largely modernized. Yes magic now exists there along with magical creatures, but they've only been around for the last 20 years aside from rare, rare exceptions.

Basically, if you put Earth as your world of choice, you should probably be human and have powers/abilities based mostly on technology and SCIENCE with a bit of magic on the side maybe. Alternatively you could be one of the few exceptions and use MAGIC and SCIENCE in equal quantities. From how Cynder described it, the situation is akin to Wizards and Muggles in Harry Potter, but with the gap being even larger. Wizards/Witches are basically non-existent in the day and age, but their numbers have probably grown in the last 20 years since Earth and Lucis touched.

A mage from Earth is almost certainly going to be less capable than one from Lucis though, just because of the situation in the two worlds. Magic is highly secretive and restricted on one planet, while open and in constant development on the other.

As for why there seems to be no distinction? I guess people don't bother reading through the Free OOC for small details like this not included in the OP.

Species
Voidlings (Human)
The Voidlings come from many different races and share no similarities except for one: they have been unfortunate to catch the attention of those vastly their betters. The effects of even a small amount of Void power can mutate the affected into great monstrosities, leave them unchanged, or anything in between. The effects can be somewhat directed on the whims of the Voidkin, but are still unpredictable even then, As such the cases of the Voidlings are unique to the individual. Like the touch of a Voidkin though, they are all branded with a sigil that marks them out, with each sign being unique to a being.

For Raule, the results were minor appearance changes. His ears elongated drastically while his hair was bleached a snow white. His nails naturally sharpened until it was more accurate to call them claws and his eyes are now red, and glow a soft crimson in the dark.
Voidkin
These paradoxical beings for the most part are still largely shrouded in mystery, if only because they so rarely bother to interact with the worlds. Even then most of their interactions seem to be limited to spreading their power at random, infusing individuals with mere drops of their energy. What is known is that each individual seems to hold great power, twisting and distorting reality with each appearance they make in the world. Thankfully, Voidkin do not seem to be malevolent as their vast powers would no doubt be capable of destruction on an apocalyptic scale. This means little when the powers they wield are so destructive and uncontained that entire landscapes have disappeared with their appearance.
Class
Dark Brawler
A deadly close quarter combatant that specializes in unarmed styles mixed with the natural energies, both Void and human, that flows through the user’s body. Capable of reinforcing their bodies to superhuman levels, they shrug off mighty blows while returning them in kind. Their Void energy results in powerful, but self-destructive bursts of power that allow them to erase enemies in their way before their bodies begin to erode from within.
Weapon
Klaenr a Tomi.
Finding a material that was able to withstand the Void’s energy was not an easy a task. He was forced to venture far beyond the safety zones of the Black Gale. Finding a smith that could work it was even harder. It took a master blacksmith who had adopted the advanced technologies of Earth to melt and shape the material.

His weapons are a pair of claw-tipped gauntlets, and sharpened greaves; the front is shaped into a sharp cutting edge and is a bit heavier than regular pieces as a result. The metal is a white-grey in coloration. The gauntlets are covered in a perpetual layer of frost, and leave frost crystals in the air with their passing. The greaves on the other hand crackle with electricity, sparks and arcs often dancing around the pair. Their effects are potent on their own, but when Raule taps into the energies of Void, the material within actually creates a resonance. It not only resists the eroding effects, but actually amplifies its effects. As it is in an alloy mix, Raule’s Void is not bolstered, but the elemental effects experience an amplification.

Short Biography
A fairly closed lip is kept when it comes to Raule’s whereabouts prior to his time at the Academy. As far as anybody knows he survived and was changed by an encounter with a Voidkin when he was 13. The small town and surrounding forest he called home was not so fortunate and erased from existence, a massive crater left in its place. What occurred in the two years prior to his arrival at the Academy is still anyone’s guess, but he’s attended it for the last five years successfully.
Personality
Despite his appearance and “race”, Raule enjoys the days he can spend without the company of his weapons. Flexible and tolerant, he goes with the flow rather easily amongst his acquaintances. He doesn’t have many friends due to his quiet nature, but of those he has he is loyal to and more than willing to share life’s experiences with. Not overly cheerful or enthusiastic, Raule is more reserved about how he expresses his happiness. Not just his happiness either as he’s fairly reserved when it comes to expressing himself. Reliable and responsive though, he’s the type of person to take things into his own hands rather than wait for others, but he’ll never try and stand in the spotlight.
Partner
Guess it’s up in the air.
Fear(s)/Weakness(es)/Limit(s)
Strictly a close-ranged fighter, if kept at a distance there’s not much Raule can do to his opponents. His reach with Void-based abilities extend a bit past, but only a dozen feet or so.
While he’s fairly good at managing his limits, overuse of Void energy will erode his body despite its innate resistance. His eyes will begin to glow a blood red once the threshold has been reached.
Strange Attributes/Abilities/Traits
Physically more able than a human, even without tapping into internal sources of power. He’s stronger, faster, more durable, and overall just better.
His existence, like all other Voidkins, is an anomaly. While he still requires sleep and does age, many of his biological needs are no longer that. The Void essentially constantly purges his body of external influences and sustains him in their absence. He requires no sustenance and has a high resistance to poisons, toxins, and diseases. At the same time, magic that influences one’s internals such as telepathy or mental illusions are quickly broken against Raule. Sadly, beneficial magics, such as healings or blessings, are also rendered ineffective for him. Magic with enough power behind it will punch through the Void’s effects, but its effects will be reduced.
Void energy is highly destructive to put mildly. If it exists, the Void will try and fix that and leave nothing in its passing. Matter, energy, even spiritual existences are all touchable with the paradoxical energy.
As befitting of his class designation, Raule is an experienced warrior. He fares well in messy melees, but shines in combat against individuals. Despite still attending the Academy, he’s already seen his fair share of ventures into the Black Gale. The fact that he has returned alive speaks enough.
Other
His sigil. Located on his right shoulder blade.
Kiddo said I like the character as long as the duration of the Semblance is reduced considerably. I feel like one minute should be the longest duration.

Sure, change has been made. Dropped it down to a few seconds, so it's more for disorientation than trapping him and his enemies.
Here, take this for the waiting list, please?
Name: Perry Symund
Race: Human
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Appearance: 6’2 and nearly 200lb., though most people wouldn’t guess since his build is fairly lean and thin and his clothes are generally full-body.

Personality: A well-balanced individual, Perry doesn’t feel troubled whether he’s by himself or in the company of others. Level-headed in most situations, he’s attentive and responsive to both the needs of others and situations around him. Though he’s largely independent, Perry isn’t a loner at heart and enjoys helping others if possible. As such, he’s someone who’ll face challenges head on with others at his back rather than playing a supporting role. Though he has no problems with other people, he does enjoy his personal freedom and ability to do as he pleases. While mature enough to not be a rebel, he can become a bit frayed if he’s not allowed to express himself. Also, despite being a people person, Perry is actually a fairly closed individual. He has many acquaintances, but few close friends.

Weapon: Blast Bicell is Perry’s custom Flail-Lance. In it’s storage form, it clips onto a hostler at the back of his waist. Fully extended, the weapon is about seven and a half feet in length. The massive lancehead can be fired outwards with a detonation of Dust, turning it into a projectile. Connected to the handle by a length (25m) of wire, its flight path can somewhat be guided. Once it comes to a stop though, Perry can still utilize the weapon for broad sweeping attacks that devastate Grimm in a wide area around him as the heavy lancehead is used in a fashion similar to a flail, but one with an absurdly long chain. As one would expect, the launch feature is also quite devastating if used on an enemy at close ranges.

Semblance: No Escape. A curse-like Semblance, it can be applied by any extension of Perry’s body; namely his weapon in most cases. Upon realizing on an opponent, a small mark appears, but begins to rapidly fade away, disappearing within a minute at most. Additional uses of his Semblance don't stack, but each application does reset the duration. While in place, the mark prevents Perry and his opponent(s) from moving away from one another, with a minimum threshold of five meters. Once the distance is closed to this, they cannot move further from one another; essentially forcing the two of them into a small arena. It can be horrible disorienting for opponents to experience this for the first time, since they various directions of movement are enabled and cut off at random; which is something Perry is more than willing to abuse and capitalize on.

Strength/Weakness:
+ As someone who strives to become an individual who stands against the Grimm when others run away, it shows in his fighting style. He can take hits, dish out the hurt, and stand tall all while doing so. Head-on combat is where he truly shines, and Perry wouldn’t have it any other way.
+ Despite his fighting style, which has been described as a bit ungraceful, Perry is rather intelligent. While not necessarily booksmart, he is observant, logical, and a thinker. He’s also relatively open-minded and flexible in his thoughts, and thus quite accepting of almost any individual.
+ Hardy, resilient, and tenacious. He had to be in order to survive, and Perry is a survivor at the core, even before his aspiration to become a Hunter. Pain just means he’s still alive, and better keep it that way. Hunger brings purpose, thirst gives him drive, and fatigue is just motivation.
- While he does understand the need for stealth at times, Perry is just rather bad at it. Maybe it’s just he’s too big, or it just goes against his nature, but whatever it is, he’s just not meant to skulk around like others.
- While not necessarily slow, speed is not one of Perry's strong points. Against speedsters, he doesn't have a chance to catch them and if basically reduced to waiting for the perfect time to counter. They'll be able to keep their distance fairly easy, but just because he can't catch them doesn't mean he can't react.
- His Semblance can be somewhat of a double-edged blade. He won't use it against opponents he's obviously outclassed against, but if the situation turns for the worst, Perry is stuck and unable to retreat until his Semblance wears off; he has no way of cancelling its effects.
Yay dungeon running?
