Current And maybe most people don't like getting a single line back in response to a few paragraphs? Like whatever floats your boat, but there's a reason Free exists.

If the man's is asking for a ban, might as well give it to him. Good riddance.

Having taken his time to eat, Perry was one of the last students to leave the cafeteria. He would have liked to take a bit of a walk, but there was little time left until the Headmaster’s address. His Scroll wasn’t necessary this time around given how the Main Hall stood out quite clearly, even amongst the Academy buildings. Alongside, but not with, the other stragglers he made his way over.

The speech and following briefing was rather short and to the point, at least for one of them, which Perry didn’t mind at all. As they were left to their own devices now, with only the warning to be prepared for tomorrow morning, he decided an exploration of the Academy’s grounds would be a suitable way to pass the time. While he didn’t think it would take him until nightfall to do so, he figured something else to do would come up.

The fact that he had stood by the wall rather than taking a seat meant Perry managed to make it out of the Main Hall ahead of the crowd. The other students managed to catch up and overtake him fairly quickly though given his leisurely pace. As the others fanned out, he picked a building at random and headed off in its direction to check it out.
And there you go.
He supposed it had been put off long enough. The urge to play Grand Quest Online had been with Hideo since he set aside a copy from the first shipment, but it had been pushed aside for more important matters. No more though! Today, he’d finally delve into what was pretty much the most hyped game in a while and experience it for himself. The click of lock, a flick of a switch, and with soft steps Hideo ascended from the darkened shop to his home above the store. There would be no disappointed customers either, or at least hopefully. He’d been smart enough to update his blog and post a notice a few weeks in advance, notifying of possibly closures from this day forward. There had been some backlash from the customers, but he’d managed to ward off the worst of them with promises of still being open at least twice a week during this time.

Slipping his shoes off at the stairs, he stepped into the small upper floor he called home. Ignoring everything for now he made a beeline for the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Setting up the RGG took only a moment and before long he was laid out comfortably on his bed, slipping the headpiece on. With a, “Link start,” Hideo felt reality slip away as the Gear lulled him asleep.
________________________________

Drowsiness didn’t accompany his “awakening” in the virtual world as this was hardly his first time using the RGG. He took a moment to take in the Character Creation room before getting to work. As usual, he ignored any sort of visual customization and went straight for the things that actually mattered. Figuring out what he actually wanted from his character took a while, but eventually after his final tap on the interface Hideo was satisfied. Again, he felt himself losing grip on this “reality” as character creation took place, his vision fading to black.

When he opened his eyes again, it was to a rich world that didn’t disappoint and Hideo instantly understood how people could forget it was just a game. There was a sense of fullness to the experience simply sitting on the plain had that other VRs lacked, something essential. While amazed at what the development team had managed to achieve, his mind as a gamer quickly assumed direct control. He had only managed to examine his character details before a voice broke the silence. While, thankfully, not long-winded, the mysterious voice was also rather vague and cliche if he had to be honest. He supposed that this would be the equivalent of the game’s tutorial, and with GQO’s system being apparently revolutionary, Hideo felt no urge to cluelessly dive in. Having accepted the quest, he figured introducing himself to the others also participating would be apt. Especially given how three others had already done so. “Well I don’t recognize any of you, so Mushi’s fine.”
Eagerly awaiting nerf-bat. Will be pleasantly surprised if it passes as is.

Name: Damien Graves
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Magic User Type: Necromancer

Appearance: Damien,, as most people tend to notice rather quickly, does not look his “age”; looking more in his early twenties than mid-thirties. Standing quite tall, 6’2, with vibrant red hair, Damien is quite easily noticeable. Purple eyes constantly scrutinize whatever holds his attention, but otherwise aren’t too expressive. His attire lends itself more to a wandering adventurer than some Necromancer, but that isn’t too far from the truth actually.

Personality: Damien is essentially a free spirit at heart, who places his own freedom above all. Without any goals in mind, he almost always acts based on his whims. When he does decide on a course of action, he’s decisive and doesn’t bother with hesitation, though that’s no guarantee he’ll actually see it through to the end. His word is also essentially no good as he's more than willing to break promises, or lie if it serves him well. Damien isn't malicious or even ill-meaning in the end though, he simply wishes to bear witness and participate in the most interesting things he can find. His sense of morality, surprisingly, is also rather normal. While he's more willing to bend and break them, there are lines that he doesn't cross. If there was one redeemable quality about him, it would probably be the fact that he handles anger very well. Grudges are a rare thing on Damien's part, and he's quick to calm if he ever gets riled up.

Powers: Could be considered a master of Necromancy at this point. He's achieved a state reminiscent of a Lich, a feat that alone showcases his skill. With a phylactery that holds his soul, his current body is essentially an animated puppet. While still “living”, it no longer requires sustenance, feels no pain, and can recover from “fatal” wounds with little more than time and energy. To truly kill Damien, his phylactery must be damaged enough that it no longer can hold his soul.

Though capable of raising a considerable amount of Undead, he has chosen to devote his energy towards two Death Knights that he employs. While quantity does have its own sort of quality, a horde of Undead minions doesn’t cater to his lifestyle.

He was the greatest warrior Damien had the privilege of meeting. Against the monsters that stalked his village, he fought, bled, and died. Seeking only the safety of those he knew, he threw away many things for them; glory, wealth, fame, and his life. Though in life he failed to assure their safety, in his undeath he gave them vengeance. Though heavily clad in armor, Knight’s movements are nonetheless graceful and precise, a deadly dance of death.

She pursued him relentlessly, unable to stomach his foul existence. He gave her a single chance to escape her damnation. She did not take it. Now, in death, she serves as one of his greatest creations; a twisted fate for one such as her. A heavy-handed fighter, Death cares little for finesse and favors brute force that smashes aside opposition.

Skills/Talents: Swordplay. Despite his skill as a magic user, Damien is no slouch if he must wade through a melee. With two powerful warriors at his command, it’s not as if he lacked “teachers". The fact that his body is only a shell, and can be healed means he isn't frail like other magic users either.
He’s multilingual, and quite capable of conversing in most major languages. While certain regional dialects might escape him, he’s not going to be lost if he steps outside of Pantos.

Equipment/Weapons: A short sword sheathed to the back of his waist. It is of good make and material, but otherwise unremarkable.
His phylactery. A unique and rather expensive piece, it's a ruby with the inside hollowed out and filled with Damien's blood. Mostly surrounded by a layer metal for additional protection, the material hinders the connection between phylactery and body. As a result, it must be kept closer than usual to Damien. Breaking it requires powerful magic as it is immune to most physical damage.
A not-so small sum of currency and other valuables. While he has little material need or greed, such is not the case for most people. So he keeps it around for when he needs others to do something for him.

Bio: Born far from Pantos, his parents were both Necromancers so it wasn’t much of a surprise that he turned out to possess the same magic. Given the nature of their powers, they lived in the wilderness far from any civilization. People generally didn’t look on the animation of what possibly may have been a loved one’s remains too kindly. Damien on the other hand grew up surrounded by spirits and corpses in various stages of decay, so he held no such reservations. Diving into the practice of his magic at a young age, his parents weren’t troubled by their sons seeming skill in raising the dead.

There was only so long that a child could stay with their parents though, and that time came all the sooner for someone as isolated as Damien. Yearning for more interaction, he set off on a journey and left his parents to continue their research into Necromancy. That was quite some time ago…

Despite various setbacks that inevitably resulted from living under parents that were shunned by most of society and a lack of interaction outside of them, eventually Damien managed to figure things out. Not that he really had a choice given he was basically on the run from the authorities at that point, and had to escape to another kingdom. At least during that period he managed to get his societal norms and okays down pat.

Ever since then, he’s basically been wandering without stop. He doesn’t stay for more than a month in any area before moving on, save for the year he spent preparing for the ritual that would change him into what he currently is. Still, how could he turn down an invitation from the King himself? Hopefully the man has some interesting things to say that are worth his time.
Wizard or Sorcerer. Wizard has been taken though, so better get your Sorcer/ess sheet up fast if you want the spot.

Kidd said Yeah, Neo played it very smart and makes me wonder what she knows about Yang's semblance. She kept her blows to a minimum, where as Yang is used to just letting people beat on her until she can counter, haha.

Figure it's more of just Neo's fighting style. She's an illusionist, a trickster and it shows. Guess carefully applied force is the way to beat Yang instead of overwhelming. I assume there's a certain threshold at where Yang powers up fast enough to overcome any damage she might take, and Neo was just under it.
Right. Chinese?

Food fight scene had both Ren and Jaune getting easily smacked down, while Nora and Pyrrha kicked major ass throughout.

Ren was in a horrible match up against Yang (fragile speedster going against heavy brawler in melee be dumb yoh), and Jaune is always butt monkey Jaune.

The discussion seems to be a full page of that exact message at the moment. :pBefore that, though, it was about the male characters of the show being butt monkeys, while the females are one girl armies.

Less of butt monkeys and more of just side-characters. Can't give everybody hours of work for cool fight scenes.
