Just to make clear, but we've got two humans (Momo and Myrtle) alongside two Dragons, one adult and one teen (Ikkan and Siabel) being sent out for the rescue?

If so, interesting. Guess Markus will see how well the two can work together.
TalijaKey said There is a little post order wait at least two other people post before posting again. ^^But even soo you are fine. XD I post up again in a hour or so~ You guys are so fast XDAnd personal I cannot wait to her more of the dragon slayer back ground how he managed to slip into a dragon tribe, obliviously not this one but another one and what happened there. *chuckles the myrtle part*

If you're talking about Markus he's been inside several. Sometimes he was invited in, other times he "slipped" (more like was allowed) past the barrier. More details will have to wait and see if they get revealed IC I suppose.
Still around. Just waiting for something to actually post about.
“Commencing live-firing test,” he murmured for the recording before he picked up a number of empty metal cans. In front of him was one of the few automated turrets he and a few others had been working on for the colony, and this was the first to be set up. “Threat evaluation, all readings hostile.” At his commands, the mounted laser sight changed from green to a bright red, signaling a correct change in its targeting programming. Nodding happily, he began to gently lob the empty cans up in the air in front of the turret. At first he went slowly, letting the turret shoot each can out of the sky before throwing another. Eventually though, he was hurling cans left and right, up into the sky and rolling them along the ground, doing so fast and slow, and giving the targeting systems and mechanical mount a real workout. When he finally ran out of targets for the turret, Fuyo stepped back with a smile. “Tracking and accuracy rate seems to hold at about 95%. Easily within acceptable boundaries, I’d call this a success.” With that he put an end to the recording and began to pack up his tools, ready for the next job ahead. It just wasn’t one he was really expecting, and one he was already running late for.

He arrived at the gathering location fully dressed, the jacket and his full loadout having been put on over the body armor he wore for his day to day routine. His carbine was slung so it hung in front of him, and he gave the other five members of this sudden expedition a small wave in greeting as he jogged up to them. It looked like he was just in the nick of time as a large transport rolled over to the gate and came to a halt, ready to receive the team.
“Sorry about that, got word when I was still working.”
Trusting his instincts had kept Markus alive against plenty a monster, so when he got the sensation of being watched, he didn’t simply dismiss it as frayed nerves or silly feelings. His eyes, hidden by the helmet, closed slowly as he tried to focus on whatever was sending chills up his spine at the moment. It wasn't really the same crushing, hopeless feeling he'd felt when he had actually come face to face with a Grandgrandpa before. No... while this was infinitely more subtle, the power doing the watching was simply so great that it was impossible to fully mask; even the minuscule amount that he could feel had alarm bells going off in his head.

In a single moment he went from sitting leisurely to having drawn his massive cleaver-like sword, swinging the weapon in a wide sweep all around him. The air that rushed away from the motion carried with it any magic that might have been active nearby, disrupting whatever scrying or observational spell he suspected the dragon was using. At least, Markus hoped it had since he wasn’t exactly sure how effective his weapon would be against a creature that could supposedly create and erase mountains with ease.

Regardless if it had worked or not, he knew it was likely that the Grandgrand was more than just aware of his presence, but taking an active interest. Jumping off the branch the moment he was done his weapon swing, Markus fell through the air like a rock and quickly disappeared amidst the tree tops. There might have a been a small boom, a minor shake in the ground, for those who were sensitive enough, but the mercenary had already disappeared by the time the smoke cleared. While he couldn’t be sure if any Dragons had been sent out, the option that they were travelling in their human forms was quite possible. It would make their travel time far longer than it had to be, but he supposed it would be good to avoid detection by someone like him.

Still, there were only so many ways someone could take to reach Gold Village. They’d run into him eventually, and he’d see about sending them back to the safety of their village if it happened to be sooner or later. Of course that was the ideal case, but most Dragons he had dealt with seemed to be a fairly prideful lot. Even if they weren't a prideful bunch, which by the way would have been a horrible choice to send for a rescue mission, he couldn’t imagine the idea of abandoning their comrades to their death and running back home would be met positively. So as he ran through the forest, a literal blur between trees, Markus prepared to take lives once again today.
Hopefully t'is acceptable.

Name: Oni
Description: The Oni are a form of Youkai that resemble Western Ogres or Demons. There are two distinct classifications; those that serve under the Kishin and those that don’t. The Oni under the Kishin are much as originally portrayed, wicked and malevolent creatures. Those that are free from the Kishins’ influences are as varied as humanity in how they act. Physically, Onis all share some traits though. They are greatly superior to mankind in terms of physical prowess, with single Oni able to single handedly defeat dozens of grown humans in competitions of strength. Their love for alcohol seems to be a racial trait, and all Oni have some type of horn on their head. Size and number don’t really seem to matter and vary wildly between individuals. Almost all Oni are incapable of using magic though, although there are a few within every century.

Appearance: Due to Kuro’s small stature and feminine appearance, many people mistake him for a young girl. His rather soft voice probably doesn’t help, but that doesn’t do much to change the truth. Standing at 4’7 or just a bit under 1.4m and weighing barely 100lbs., it can be quite disconcerting to see Kuro carry around a kanabo that’s just as large as he is and probably a good deal heavier. While his eyes are normally of a red coloration, in battle they can take on an unearthly glow.

Name: Kuro
Race: Oni
Age: Appears as an adolescent. True age is probably close to half a century.

Personality: Reminiscent of a blue Oni, Kuro is a much calmer example of his species. Though he enjoys drinking as much as any of his kind, he does so because he actually enjoys the taste, rather than the festivities and partying that inevitably accompanies such acts. A remarkably tight lipped individual, he’s good enough company to hang around for idle chatter and such, but not necessarily befriend.

He’s had enough time to get over the fact that he is always going to be the runt of the clan, so most jabs at his size don’t get much rise out of him. What do annoy him are cowards and liars, and he’s generally quick to disassociate himself of them.

Fairly observant due to his situation, Kuro is one who thinks before he acts rather than simply following his whim as many of his more innebraited kind are prone to doing. Thanks to his size, he also never really fell in love with competitions and in fact doesn’t particularly enjoy participating or watching them, feeling most are pointless and only serve to inflate the winner’s ego.

Skills/Abilities: While not as strong as others of his kind due to his small size, Kuro is quite stronger than a human. The strongest human could likely give the miniature human a challenge in a competition of strength, but even then without the aid of magic the human’s loss is almost certainly guaranteed.

Kuro’s entire body is also tougher than a human’s, and his size has no factor here. He can endure damage and envrionments that would cripple a human, and recovers from injury more easily. His body doesn't feel any different from a human’s yet its resistance is somehow much higher. Small caliber rounds from firearms are largely ineffective at penetrating, though the impact can still jar the lightweight Oni. Rifle rounds generally penetrate, but usually not deep enough to be fatal. Even with an entire clip is emptied, it isn't a guarantee Kuro will actually die (putting aside head-shots), though he’ll certainly be incapacitated and in need of outside medical attention.

Given his weapon of choice, Kuro isn’t exceptionally fast compared to a human, comparable to a swordsman. His true speed is revealed when he lets go of his kanabo as one might expect. At that point, even the most swift-footed rogues would be pushed to keep up with the miniature Youkai, and almost none would be able to match his stamina.

Does the ability to drink as much alcohol as he wants without massive kidney failure or horrible hangovers count?

Like some other Youkai, Kuro has the ability to grant humans with enough talent a contract with him and is known to do so as a favor. Lifetime contracts are vows incomparable to even marriage, and so all of his are limited-use deals. Generally those granted one are able to call for him with an expenditure of magical energy to assist in combat.

Equipment: A massive kanabo made of deadened iron, the weapon is heavy enough that it’s downright impractical. For a human that is. While capable of wielding it one handed, it would be akin to a human trying to one-hand a zweihander. In other words, unwieldy and impossible to control. The material is able to soak in magical energy and render it inert, thus providing a manner of protection to Kuro thanks to its size.

His kimono was a gift from the tengu under his clan when he left. Its utility is quite nice for Kuro, as the clothes are self-mending and protect him from most sorts of environments quite well; cool in the summer heat and warm in winter’s chill.

Carries a gourd around with a Cider Bug inside. While traditionally Onis loved their Sake Bugs, the times have changed and Bugs of various alcohols are available. Upon being submerged in water, the Bugs are capable of converting the liquid into certain types of alcohol. His chosen variety produces a slightly sweet-tart flavor. Make a comment and he’ll generally hit you.

Misc. everyday items that might destroy someone's more fantastical view of the otherwise traditional looking oni. A wallet with various important cards inside such as a Hunter ID, credit cards, or the like. Also carries a cellphone around so people can easily contact him, mainly for jobs.

Brief Backstory: Kuro belonged to a clan of Oni that had never been under a Kishin. Those that had felt a demonic “god’s” touch always had to be careful lest the influences creep back. His community was one that had no such worries, aside from being mindful of those that would try to take advantage of them, and thus partied freely. Their relationship with nearby human communities was relatively peaceful and Kuro grew up without much troubles or worries.

Well, at least until it became apparent that he didn’t have much growing up to do. Given he stopped at his current appearance when he was quite young, he developed a bit differently than the other Oni. Where a life of constant competition, drinking, and partying might have awaited had he grown up to be as large as the others, he instead found different pleasures in life. These differences eventually drove him to leave his clansmen and travel the world instead. With only a few possessions in hand, he left the mountains that housed his clan to see what the world had to offer.

Quickly realizing that he needed to provide for himself now that he’d left the community, Kuro took up whatever work he could. Given that he looked about 16 at best, and a lack of legal documents to prove otherwise, he found himself in a line where none of that really mattered. Hunting. Granted, they hadn’t actually sent him out on a job since, “Hunter Guild sends young child to Den,” wasn't really good publicity. He had heard about creatures causing trouble near the city's outskirts and gone to investigate. Given the citizen's seemed more concerned about somebody getting hurt rather than dying, Kuro figured he alone would be enough. It turned out that he was as the expedition ended up with him clearing out the minor den of monsters when he stumbled upon it. One thing led to another and Kuro found himself with a steady income soon enough.

While not famous, Kuro has become a relatively well-known figure among the Hunter Guilds. His distinctive appearance, personality, and skills as a Hunter means it's not too hard for him to find work with others in the business.

Appearance: Brown hair and eyes, Gavin is also fair skinned. His glasses are usually of the photochromatic variety, meaning they change coloration when exposed to UV rays. Of average height and weight, 5’10 and 155lbs., his build isn’t noteworthy. Not too fat nor thin, he is of average athleticism, mostly to keep up with friends.

Name: Gavin Mckenzie
Age: 19
Reason for Insomnia: Subconscious reaction to mental stress by the body. He’s been dealing with it for quite a while now, but it’s been getting worse.

Personality: A studious but easy going fellow outside of school, Gavin’s motto would probably be something along the lines of, “Work hard and enjoy life.” One of the students who actually takes school seriously to get the grades, he’s often called a try-hard by some of his more slackish classmates. While at school he can be a bit of a prickly nerd, putting the time at school to good use rather than fooling around and wasting it; often getting annoyed with people who distract or bother him. Once he’s outside the institution though, he loosens up and relaxes a lot.

While not overly energetic or enthusiastic, Gavin is a lot more human in comparison to his almost machine-like demeanor at school. He’s happy enough to get swept along with his friends antics. While he’s never the one leading at the front, he generally won’t be too far behind, wearing a smile as he gives chase. Never overly charismatic, he draws people in because of his smarts and willingness to help out.

Bio: If you asked Gavin what his life story was he’d probably tell you, “Nothing special really.” And he wouldn’t even be trying to avoid the truth or anything, his life has simply been rather unremarkable in his eyes so far. Maybe in the future he’ll do some great things, but up until now there’s not much to speak of. Oh sure, he graduated his school with some of the highest grades and got into university on scholarship, but that isn’t really something “huge” in his eyes. If people could do what he did and commit, he’s fairly certain others could do just the same.

He wasn’t always a high achiever either, his grades only really shot up after he entered middle school. Until then he always hovered around average, occasionally dipping above or below his classmates. For one reason or another, ninth grade was when he decided to buckle his ass down and work. He paid attention in class, seemingly absorbing information like a sponge, strained and filtered it out after school, and somehow still found time to hang out with all his friends. While he was never part of any clubs in school, he spent his time elsewhere in the community, most of the times volunteering at the local library.
Clad in full armor, with his weapon held over the shoulder, Markus bushwhacked his way through the forests that still stood near Gold Village. He had been tasked as a scout one of the few people who could step into a Dragon Tribe and escape, but he wasn’t being exceptionally stealthy. While he didn’t announce his arrival by simply hacking a path through the sea of trees, neither did he slink about in the many shadows cast by the sun overhead. Walking firm and tall, he came to a halt with a small, “Ah,” as he felt the disturbance in the air in front of him. Reaching out with a finger of his claw-tipped gauntlet, he gently touched the ethereal barrier that had begun to reveal itself with his noticing. His touch sent the slightest ripples running over the construct, though they quickly faded away. Between its sensitivity and size, Markus wasn’t willing to risk it. The Grand-grand figure likely knew of his presence by now if it hadn’t already before, and given the Hunter’s plans before he had left he wasn’t really looking forward to find out if humans, much less a Dragonslayer like himself, were welcome. He eyed the large magical construct once more before quickly turning and walking away.

Markus didn’t go as far as some might have expected him to. Rather than the safety of Gold Village, Markus travelled several miles back through the forest before coming to a halt. Climbing atop one of the ancient trees that had grown massive, he took a seat at one of the topmost branches. From here he had easy sight for miles around into the clear sky. If any Dragon took flight, he’d see them. After all he hadn’t only been sent out as a scout, but also as an advanced guard to make first contact with any “rescuers”. The Hunters expected mostly Adults to be sent as rescuers, maybe a Grand figure at most, so it was supposedly within his capabilities. He guessed he’d find out soon enough.
Dungeon diving, monster hunting? Sure, why not.
Guessing the GM bailed on this. They've been plenty busy elsewhere.
