Current And maybe most people don't like getting a single line back in response to a few paragraphs? Like whatever floats your boat, but there's a reason Free exists.

Sounds like something I'd be interested in.

Would you be acting solely as GM, or will you also have a character in the RP? And how would the "game's" mechanics be handled? Dice rolls, or simply RPing the actions and results out?

[Notevensarcasticanymore] Seriously guys and girls, post. It's been four days, it shouldn't take this long to either type up a post or drop a quick OOC to say you're busy and this has to come later. [/notevensarcasticanymore]
So yeah, it's up at last. If the post example you were looking for was more along the lines of character interaction, well than I'll get to something of that nature later then.

His equipment.
Name: Tzu Che, or alternatively Chatsu.

Theme: One Way Out

Age: 27
Gender: Male

Nation of Origin: Thaos, though he’s now a mercenary at best and traitor at worst.

Persona: Core to Chatsu would be his solemn nature. He takes life seriously, perhaps a bit too seriously according to some, but that’s just the sort of person he is.Thankfully his attitude is largely directed at himself, so while he may not be the most fun companion to have, he’s rarely overbearing towards others. He’s also rather flexible in his interactions with others, willing to bend or compromise up to a reasonable degree.

Despite of his large stature, just over two meters, and intimidating appearance, he doesn’t have the sort of presence otherwise that would make him influential to others; he’s rather quiet despite the steel behind his words, he doesn’t have the charisma to draw others in, nor inspire them. All in all, he’s a rather solitary and independent individual if given the choice.

It’s rare to see Chatsu outside of his armor, but during the odd times where he’s free to slip out of the equipment his disposition does ease up somewhat. Yet, he does become more easily irritable when he’s out of armor, not willing to put up with as much as he might normally.

Equipment: Greatsword - At about four and a half feet in length with a ratio three to one for blade to handle, the weapon is quite a sight to behold. While there is enough room to handle it with both hands, Chatsu generally wields it with one hand despite its absurd weight. The force behind each swing is substantial and devastating due to its mass, but in his hands it handles like a short sword, quick and fluid.
Shield - Solid and heavy, this piece is about four and a half feet long and two and a half feet across. The metal is thick, thicker than wooden shields in some places in fact, making it impossible for any normal person to wield it effectively. It does make for an excellent piece for Chatsu though, whose enormous strength allows him to maneuver it effectively and even utilize it offensively.
Heavy Plate - A suit of layered armor, the metal plates often cover one another, resulting in a two-fold thickness at minimum in most places. Although the various pieces are built to withstand blows, it is not a full suit and thus allows for a range of motion even at the cost of some defensive capabilities. The blackened metal, with its dulled engravings, and large size only add to Chatsu's intimidating presence.

Ability/Magic:
Titan’s Heritage - Blood Inheritance: For one reason or another, Chatsu was born with what could be called a Natural Body, an occurrence that allowed for the almost flawless circulation of his internal energy from birth. The result is a body of a monster in the form of a man, far surpassing what the average person is capable of by simple virtue of being. The amount of energy required to constantly circulate within and infuse the body hints at a capacity that is incredibly massive.

Yet such a form is not without its drawbacks. The constant circulation of internal energy has made the body dependant, and the loss or disruption of the flow will cause the owner to weaken considerably. The body’s ability to naturally recover internal energy is also diminished, and the recovery rate only grows weaker as the internal store of energy is depleted. It can reach such a level that eventually the body can no longer produce internal energy by itself and external assistance is required, lest the body erodes away in an attempt to maintain itself.

Natural Arts: Like most individuals trained within Thao, Chatsu is quite capable of manipulating his internal energy for a variety of different effects. From reinforcing his own, already considerable, physical capabilities to lashing out with an extension to his weapon, there’s many ways the Natural Arts can be used.
Notable Techniques
  • Deity Amongst Men: A technique that involves infusing internal energy in a foot and releasing it with a brutal stomp. It can cause the ground, even solid rock, to crater as a shockwave is unleashed and blasts outwards. It’s still mostly an utility technique though, used to disrupt the footing and balance of his enemies. At close ranges, opponents can literally be thrown off their feet as the ground rolls underneath them before cracking and shattering.
  • Immortal’s Song: A roar infused with internal energy, there are two ways the technique can be used. One is a long drawn out cry that disorients enemies around him, and can even render weaker opponents unconscious. The other is a quick shout that generates a massive burst of sound capable of throwing enemies back while ensuring their eardrums are almost certainly ruptured.
  • Titan Blade (Hybrid): A technique that combines aspects of summoning magic along with natural arts. There are already techniques that allow for Natural Art users to throw bolts and blasts of energy as projectiles; Chatsu simply sought something a bit more suited for his fighting style. By using summoning as a method to control the formation of his projected internal energy, he’s able to manifest a massive form of his weapon over the original. Nearly a dozen meters long, the creation boasts unparalleled sharpness, while retaining its ease of use. The creation is also capable of unleashing waves of energy for ranged attacks, but at the cost of decreasing in size and stability. Half a dozen projectiles would be enough to end the technique, and that is if it doesn’t destabilize first.
Summoning: He has some rudimentary knowledge on how to perform Summoning techniques, but it is highly limited. Using it to stabilize and mold energy, rather than calling and creating other creatures is about as much as he can do.

Additional Info: Escaped from Thao at the age of 21, been a vagrant taking mercenary work ever since then.
Has done work for all three nations though mostly for Doniaeth, followed up by Thaos, and lastly Thao.

The dull grey sky above was normally not something Alam would have looked at and enjoyed, but as his last sight, it was fading quickly, and the freshman found himself in somewhat of a panic. As the last remnant of grey faded and was swallowed by what could only be aptly described as reminiscent to a night sky filled with countless stars, Alam tried to get his bearings. He was definitely still falling and he craned his neck to try and see below him. What he saw made his jaw drop as a vibrant world opened up underneath him, before the rush of wind reminded him of what would happen once he hit the ground. Thankfully the fall seemed long enough that he wouldn’t have to worry about it for a minute at the least. Enough time for him to sa-

‘Wait, what?’ The thought that snapped him from his final words was caused by the fact that he noticed below him was not the ground. Well it was in a sense, but more accurately he seemed to fall towards a… floating island. ‘What...’ Between the fact that he had been pushed into a “portal” by a dog, was currently falling to his death, and seemingly would land on a floating island of sorts, Alam sort of just decided to say, “Well fuck it,” as to not lose further grasp on reality. Really it didn’t matter if he did though, since he was apparently about to die in a few more moments. With that rather solemn piece of knowledge in mind, he did the logical thing so he took the time to glance around.

Wherever he was, it was downright beautiful and he could admit that much. Lush green grass stretched on for miles beneath him, broken by the occasional thicket of trees or the blue of water. A bit far off he could see a few structures, and around them milled plenty of people; though they looked like little more than ants at this distance. He wondered briefly what was happening below, before he sighed and looked back down below himself. The island was startling close by now and he closed his eyes as the winds whipped past him, hoping it wouldn’t hurt too much. ‘Sor-’

His final thoughts were to be interrupted as well apparently as he felt soft paws touch upon his back. The sensation was enough to bring to mind the dog that had caused all of this and Alam whipped his head around to look at the purple eyed, dark furred canine. He would have yelled out, partially in indignation and partially anger, had he not met the ground at that exact moment.

Yet instead of splattering in a horrible manner that likely would have traumatized his expectant summoner, something enveloped him whole. Disoriented by the sudden halt, darkness, and the fact that he was still alive, Alam couldn’t do much more than hold his stomach and listen to the hammering of his heart. Thankfully, whatever it was that kept him from death by terminal-velocity impact also saw fit to wait until he was “ready” for it to dissolve. He wasn’t exactly ready, near-death experiences tended to do that to a person, but he wasn’t a quivering mess either.

As the petals, which he now saw as those of a rose, fell away Alam’s jaw dropped again. What he had seen before was vast and overwhelming, but now all around him was an island that seemed to have been put together painstakingly by artists for all its beauty and intricacy. He might have even overlooked the individual who stood expectantly in front of him had he not felt the dog leap away from him. Following her naturally led Alam’s eyes to settle on the small girl, and he felt his eyebrow climb higher in confusion.

That feeling wasn’t helped in the slightest when she threw forth what he assumed was an introduction and bowed to them. Wait, them? It was only then he turned to notice, that yes, he was not alone in all of this. There was another girl on the altar to his right. He ignored her for the moment and turned his attention to who he assumed was behind this all. “Uh… what now?” His tone was questioning more than anything else, as he really wanted an explanation for all this before he decided whether to be angry or elsewise.
Eh, the staff could just be made of metal instead of the traditional wood. At the very least, it could be tipped with metal like Cinque's for extra force to smash through armor.

Sure the first option would handle horribly, but lolmagic can make it work.

As for the touch thing, eh, I'm okay with either. Touch does make things a bit easier for Alam, since he won't have to pummel on people. I do think a more competitive tone to things is better though, and touching seems like it would be a bit dull.

... Maybe I should ask before I make a complete fool out of myself. Does this mean that the tapping a person's back of head or back instant-knockout is non-existent in this universe?

I would assume so. We're essentially going to be hitting hard enough to kill or incapacitate, except people don't die because of magic.

PlatinumSkink said Also, a staff of sufficient power can definitely harm something inside the armor even if cannot harm the armor itself. And I'd say Cinque is strong enough to cause that form of damage, even if his weapon of choice is a staff.A foil VS armor... I have no idea. Isn't it a small, thin, sharp blade and should therefore be quite efficient at piercing through armor?

A foil would probably be too thin to pierce through most metal armor, and would just crumple or, more likely, be deflected instead. Against softer armor like leather or the like, it would probably be pretty darn effective.

Are you implying a bo staff isn't a weapon?

Never mind. I have no idea what I'm talking about.
I'm fine with the post as it is. Alam will still be wondering what's going in while she's introducing herself.
While Araki was sorely tempted to sigh once he felt Gael’s hand grip his shoulder, he held his discontent back. Once the adult was busy dealing with the other children though, Araki muttered a few choice phrases before simply resorting to grumbling, obviously displeased. Just because he had a letter to write though didn’t mean he was free from attending his classes though, Gael saw to that much and called for Araki to follow the others back into the school. He did so, but reluctantly as he cast the rooftops one last glance before he trudged back through the doors.
At the very least, the letter proved to be a distraction for what was a relatively dull day. While the teachers taught various lessons about a varied number of subjects, Araki didn’t feel enthusiastic about a great many. If there was someone who cared about the history of Dansila, even in the short snippets used by the teacher, it certainly wasn’t Araki, or at least not him at this point in time. Instead, he busied himself by staring at the blank piece of paper in one hand while trying not to crush the fragile pencil in his other. Well, blank wasn’t entirely correct, he had managed to jot down both his and Gael’s name in the appropriate areas of the page with some manner of legibility.

He didn’t get any further than a few rather messy sentences before any sense of creativity died. Slumping a bit, Araki admitted, to himself at the least, that he wasn’t the most experienced person in apologies. The number of times he had to make one could probably be counted on a single hand after all. So if he didn’t know how to write one… then the logical thing to do was to find someone who did, and Gael had dropped a rather useful, if not unexpected, piece of information. Though how would he get the other child’s help?

It turned to be rather easy. He hadn’t even needed to say anything as approached Gil’s desk to get the golden-haired child’s attention. Instead the so-called “king” simply turned his head to face Araki, and raised a brow - asking what the hybrid wanted. In wordless reply, Araki raised the piece of paper and Gil’s brow only climbed higher. “I suppose this morning’s show deserves something,” he finally remarked after a few moments. “Take a seat,” he ordered and Araki complied. “Write quickly, I don’t repeat myself,” he warned before he quickly recited a fairly long apology in monotone. Araki scrambled to scratch down every word, making his writing nearly illegible, but managed to get everything down when Gil finally stopped.

For all that Gil had done, the imperious smirk on his expression was rather irritating. Ignoring it, Araki bowed a bit and said, “Thank you.” Evidently that was enough to satisfy the miniture “king” and he was allowed to go find Gael without another remark. He did give the letter a quick scan over just to make sure the egotistic child hadn’t filled it with nonsense as a punishment for daring to ask something like this from him. Thankfully, it seemed like it was an actual apology letter, albeit a rather insincere one; Araki couldn’t really tell. Inspite of that, he took mental notes for future reference before he arrived outside Gael’s office.
Well, if Gael’s expression was anything to go off of, the man wasn’t too impressed with the letter that obviously wasn’t Araki’s work. He set the letter down and sighed before looking at Araki. “Putting aside your own writing, Gil did this for you didn’t he.” He thought briefly about lying, but thought better of it rather quickly; Gael obviously already knew, so he just nodded instead. The man sighed again and just shook his head before looking at the odd student. “While I’m glad you two are on such good terms already, I do expect you to do your own work.” Before Araki could protest, Gael had already raised a hand for him to stop and listen. “Leaving this incident aside, I expect nothing like this to happen again, and for work to be done if it’s given, alright?”

“Okay,” Araki muttered out half-heartedly as he stood from his seat and left the office, perhaps a bit quicker than he needed to. As he walked through the hallways for the front door, he wondered exactly why he was here again. Yesterday he had been swept up in Dean Courtright’s pace, his eccentric nature hard to refuse. Today he had come back simply out of an obligation to the old man, but as he stepped out into the sunlight he wondered why he should return tomorrow. Unsurprisingly, he couldn’t think of one .

Frankly now that he thought upon it there wasn’t much of a reason for him to remain in Dansila. Esace had brought him here, and he couldn’t recall seeing the man ever since. The chance to be somewhere else other than Talze Utera was great, but the city was also confining and oppressive in a way. He sighed as the stones shifted beneath his feet as he jumped to the rooftops; they let him run freely in a manner similar to the forests. There would a bit of thinking ahead for him.
Well that's a nice snippet.

Anyways, on the question of detail, I don't think too much focus on the "game" aspect of things, ie, how Freedom Online plays needs to be had. I would rather see the fluff, or lore if you will, of the game. Just my take on it anyways.

And in the case that you were asking for how detailed the lore of Freedom Online should be, well then I got... nothing.
