Aelih watched the town quietly, hardly listening to the others as they speak about whatever it was they were speaking about. Dannisus seemed quite agitated about something or another though.

Hmm. Seemed Dannisus wanted to travel via the forests. A good idea. Not only would it be difficult for the undead to follow them, Aelih highly doubted either the large beast the skeletons brought could get in, nor whatever had made those noises at the North Gate. True, whatever it was may have been strong, but highly doubtful that it’s strong enough to make its way through a forest with any semblance of speed.

With that decided, Aelih turned to the forest and trodded after Dannisus, giving him a silent nod. “Lui, will you follow?”

The slight glow on the spearpoint faded as, well, the enchantment faded. Aelih kept it out nonetheless, watching as a couple others. "Stay for others, retreat for now, I don't care, lets just make a decision." Aelih stated dryly as an opinion to the small debate, glancing up as the orc, Corc it seems his name was, lets out a roar "aaaand now all the undead know we're at the west gate."

With that, Aelih walks over to the man with the gauntlet, and extends a hand for a handshake "Aelih." Aelih smiled coolly at the man, eyeing his gauntlets. Interesting. But enough about that. "Either way, we need to decide something, and preferably soon, now that our very large friend has announced our presence."

Aelih sprinted the last of the way to outside of the gate, taking the time to deftly sheath the belt knife again. Setting Lui down gently onto the ground, Aelih pulls out the metal spear again, spinning it once in a single hand, then watches behind the rest of the ones approaching the gate, in case of undead and whatnot.

"Good idea, Lui. While we have time..." Aelih traces a finger over the spearpoint again, doing the earlier chant once more, then shivering once when the process is complete "Don't think I have enough energy for a third time at the moment..." With that done, Aelih simply waits for things to approach, be them people or undead. The first could pass, the latter would find themselves with a spearpoint in somewhere vital.

Aelih gives Dannisus a one armed shrug as he asks if the orc was a friend or not.

“Apparently. We should focus more on running now and talking later, if that’s fine by you” Aelih says grimly in response. One last look around, and the only skeletons, or bones for that matter, were the ones being actively crushed by the orc. A handy one to have around, him.

That said, Aelih returns to running at a steady pace, making sure not to sprint and tire more than necessary, taking even, almost rhythmic, breaths to keep the circulation of oxygen steady.

Aelih quickly glances behind to see the orc from before alarmingly closer, although luckily it ”He?” seemed to be friendly. Or at least anti-skeleton.

Aelih gave a quick nod to Dannisus, who had just howled a moment earlier “I think so, yes.”

That said, Aelih returns to the higher priority of running from the skeletons towards the West Gate, managing to fish out a belt knife with the arm not carrying Lui. Not the ideal weapon, but better than nothing if something managed to get close.

Aelih vaguely hears the sounds of something coming from the north gate and gives a sigh “Of course. Wait, wasn’t that gate stuck? ...that doesn’t bode well.” Aelih gives a quick look around for any more skeletons, not seeing any, but seeing off a ways away... an orc? With... someone riding it? The hell?

Aelih looks over to Lui, remembering that the lantern she’s carrying was previously a quarterstaff, and slings the spear away Waste of energy to enchant it... “In advance, sorry about this, but...” Aelih reaches over and picks up Lui with a grunt, lifting her over the shoulder not with the spearpoint sticking out “Time to go, and no offense but I’m going to assume I’m faster than you are.” With that, Aelih starts running off using the nearest clear path towards the west gates, avoiding the few skeletons out this far. “If anything gets too close, would you mind handling it? You seem a magey type, and I’m a bit busy to try and use my spear right now”

Aelih makes an annoyed grunt at the crashing sounds "That sounds like something that is not our problem. We should definitely go."

A step towards the Western gate. Aelih let go of Lui, and holds the spear with both hands for increased grip. "Could it be an undead attack?" A skeleton then rounds the corner, wielding a rusted sword. Aelih sighed, and says dryly "Well I guess that's that question answered." The spear stabs forward out at the skeleton, then downwards at the skeletons arm, shearing it off, its sword falling to the ground. Aelih spinned counterclockwise, and used the spearpoint to cut through its spine, then stomps on its hips, and stabs through its head.

"Good a time as any to do this..." Aelih sighed, taking a forefinger and thumb and running them on the edge of the spearpoint, leaving a thin silver shimmering line behind "To-Om-Yi-Ni... Ni-Ku-Fa-Ni...To-Om-Yi-Ni..." Aelih chanted that quietly as the process continued, eventually finishing up the entirety of the spearpoint and smiling. "That should help out for a bit. I suggest we keep moving away from whatever hellbeast is at the Eastern gate"

Aelih's head turned sharply towards the sound of several roaring noises from outside of town, and the grip on the spear tightened.

"I suggest you stay close to me" Aelih said with a glance at Lui "Because I don't know about you, but those noises didn't exactly seem friendly." One of those noises seemed... somewhat familiar, although Aelih couldn't place it. Mostly, probably a better idea to focus on not being where they came from. A step back, away from those noises, eyes still looking around warily for anything possibly threatening.

Aelih sighed shortly "I just want a damn nap..."

The hand not holding the spear, the left one to be specific, reaches out for Lui. "We should go." Another step, away from the direction of the roars.

Aelih turned to Dannisus with a worried expression. "I just barely grabbed it... I had heard that Myti tails were sensitive, but that sensitive? I'll have to remember that." "Sorry."

Aelih turned back to watching as he talked to Lui for a bit, then listened to Dannisus as he talked directly to the elf again.

"Hmm... Lui seems very... naive. What in... WHY." Aelih looked away from the woman off a distance away relieving herself. "I swear, humans sometimes... such an odd race."

Aelih sighed, then turned to Dannisus and nodded to answer his question "I'll keep an eye on her, yes." Aelih nodded seriously, stepping closer to Lui and preparing to follow her. Aelih gives Dannisus a thumbs up, and a small smile.

Aelih was barely listening to Dannisus lecture, although it was probably interesting, Aelih simply wasn’t very interested in magic beyond that of simply enchanting a weapon, or repairing things. Simple Magics, and very useful as well.

As Dannisus’ distracted tail moved to whip Aelih, the one free hand instinctively went up and caught it, and Aelih glared at Dannisus for a second before realizing what had happened and releasing it without a word, amused.

With a chuckle, Aelih turned back to the town at large and saw the man from before, with the gauntlets, looking at them for a second, and gave him a simple nod.
