I think companies need to make more action oriented MMOs like Planetside 2. It proved you don't need hot keys and fetch quests to make an MMO work.Hell, even Everquest Next is basically combining MMO concepts with a voxel engine like minecraft that let them literally shape the world and build their own towns. Now that is fucking cool.

Planetside 2 looks cool, but the main difference between that game and one like ESO, SWTOR, STO, and a bunch of other fandom MMOs is the RPG elements. The fandom MMO(RPGs) allow someone to create a character and immerse themselves in the world. Planetside 2 is a cool, social game, but it's all combat, there's no character building or real storytelling.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dismissing the game. It's just a different genre of online games. The MMORPGs are the ones I'm growing to really dislike.

As a PURE mage, you can't really specialize in anything without getting wrecked. At least in Skyrim. Each magic spell compliments another, it seems. My current setup is firebolt/lightning stream, stoneflesh, Bound Sword(not as useful as it may sound, not yet anyway), Courage for Faendal, Flame Atronach, and Raise Undead for those times where I really want to mob something.
