I'm afraid the thread won't get back up after being dead for so long. Surely half the players have lost interest at this point, that's how it goes.
ImportantNobody has already started a new RP for the same reason, so he'll be busy with that.
Tis a shame, but oh well. If we every try this again, we should probably settle for less people.

I've been wanting to try GMing something like this, so if more than 1 person is still interested i could set up a new Wizard's dungeon. I could also just keep this one going, but i dunno if Nobody is fine with me controlling his witch.

I could just say the version you control is a alternate reality of her that split off due to space-time distortion. That way you can have more creative freedom in controlling her.

Alright. Lemme elaborate a little on what i would do if you guys choose option B (and entrust me with this task in the first place).
I've been conceptualizing a roleplay idea very similar to this one for a quite a while now. It involves a sort of dungeon created by a powerful demon, where mortal creatures are doomed to fight each other, die and be revived indefinitely until they eventually go insane, so that the creator can feed off their agony. That is, unless someone manages to find their way to the center of the dungeon and stop the one who built it.

It'll probably be more dark and morbid than this one has been so far, as you might have guessed. Most if not all of the rules will be the same. I'm thinking there will be checkpoints of some sort though, kinda like Bonfires in Dark Souls. I also intend to have everyone "spawn" near-naked, and instead of letting them find their own gear after a while they'll have to make do with what equipment they can find. Later on they can find special artifacts that will magically enhance their abilities, to make for a sort of character progression.

What Y'all think?

Shows interest in my thread, then makes one himself, lol. Well, whatever works. I'll enter your RP if 2 or 3 others do.
We could compare some notes on dungeon design if you want. I've found it takes some effort to come up with interesting waves, as you can't just throw the same enemy at them over and over as you might in a video game.

True, I'll join yours, though, as well. I'm thinking that once a member of a person's party in the game dies,they have to continue on, and can't do anything until every member of the party is dead, and once everybody dies, their loot is gone and the dungeon is randomized again, so that it's always different. You could draw out the map of the current dungeon, then only post the amount of the dungeon that's been explored! These are just ideas, though, they'd have to be worked on

So it's a roguelike of a sort. Interesting. As i understand it there's no direct goal and you're just trying to see how far you can get? Having no end goal might be demotivational to the players, so you'll have to make extra sure that the fights are enjoyable. It's doable, but i think it's a risky move to design the dungeon around that, don't you?
Well. we'll see. I can always help you coming up with new encounters, though i'm keeping the really good ideas for myself

I suppose I could have time to be a character. Being the GM for this type of roleplay is a ton more work, as previously stated, having to come up with all the waves of enemies and such. The rest shouldn't be too bad.

Actually, I was thinking of having a sort of plot to it, where there is some way to get out, but it would require quite a bit of monster killing and dungeon clearing and loot gaining to beat some sort of ultra-super-mega final boss of some sort

I see. I guess the plot would be similar to mine, except the final boss is a wizard instead of a demon.

As for mine, i'll have it ready to post in the next two days or so (i like to have the first few encounters thought up up front). If yours does really well, i'll prolly postpone it, cause i imagine few people would wanna bother doing two of these simultaneously.

Alrighty, then, and another thing with the final boss, it would also be something that changes randomly every time an entire party dies, I'm thinking the dungeons would progress likes floors, once you clear enough you run out of dungeons and are left with a final boss. If you've ever seen the anime SAO it would sorta have floors like that, but in my own random way
