I wanna do a single serving thread, Warhammer based. We'll be a squad of Deathwatch, so you can kinda godmod as we'll all be playing Veteran superhuman serial killer xenophobes. Looking for 3-4 other people. No more than 6 probably. Not trying to go from squad to platoon. Any takers? If you have any suggestions for scenarios, make them heard. I have no interest in anything but deathwatch currently.

I'm game. I can probably recycle a previous space marine character who had Deathwatch experience.

So down. Would it be required to be Dark Angels? I have a Grey Knight character developed. Maybe some plot twist he became part of Deathwatch?

Uhh, its Deathwatch, the armed forces of the Ordo Xenos, not Deathwing, the 1st Company of the Dark Angels.

Just to clarify things.

Alright, I'll start plotting some stuff up. I don't believe Grey Knights ever do service in the Deathwatch, depending on which source of lore you're going off of. Some will maintain that almost no one in the entire Imperium are even aware of their existence, except for save some very high up Imperial Leaders, and possibly some Chapter Masters. Aside from the fact that committing them to the Deathwatch then exposes their existence to other Chapters, there are other faults.

Point two is thus, they are part of the Ordo Malleus, the branch of Deamonhunters. They are literally the entirely military branch for the Ordo. The Ordo Xenos uses the Deathwatch, as their military. The Deathwatch are experts in combating Aliens. Grey Knights are not. So sure, a Grey Knight will certainly be able to fight Orks, but a crimson fist veteran will probably do it better. So, Grey Knights are not worth the same to the Deathwatch, as the other veterans, and it weakens the Ordo Malleus, to support the Ordo Xenos.

Lastly, Grey Knights are overpowered. Granted, we're all playing superhumans, but you'll be playing several power levels above us.

So, anyways, I hope with all these points, you understand why I say that there will be no Grey Knight's in this thread.

I will be playing a Carcharadon Astra, aka, a Space Shark. If anyone wants inspiration, I recommend any of the Deathwatch books. Forge World has some free pdfs that have chapter tactics for a lot of Badab chapters as well.

I see what you mean. The Grey Knights are the same in respects to outside knowledge. Only the Inquisition and The Space Wolves know about them. And I understand what you mean about them being OP. XD I could generate a Deathwatch if you want. Still totally down for this.

"Yours is to serve, unto the last drop of your blood, that your brothers might live to fight on. Watch over them, heal them, offer up your very life should it extend theirs but a moment, and by your sacrifice the enemy be slain. And when the time comes that you must fulfill your most solemn oath, speak clearly, speak proudly, speed the bolt that brings his end and send him joyous to the Emperor’s side. Then do your duty, take that which is due, and know your mission is done." — Extract from the Apocrypha of Eons

Name: Brother Severus

Chapter: Blood Angels

Equipment:
Mark VII Aquila Power Armour
Diagnostor Helmet
Power Sword
Bolt Pistol
Frag Grenades
Exsanguinator
Blood Chalice

Biography: As all Blood Angels before him, Severus born on the moon Baal Secundus, moon of the Blood Angels homeworld Baal. Underwent the proving tests held every generation at Angels Fall, the site where Sanquinius himself was found, as an aspirant to prove himself to the Blood Angels in order to become one. During these violent games and tournaments, battling against the harsh landscape and his peers, Severus showed unusual amounts of care to his fellow tribesmen, making sure to not kill anyone, only maim during the gladiatorial tournaments and even going out of his way to help those that were wounded during the race to the reach the "Place of Challenge", having to cross a hostile desert, with only a crude air glider and avoiding fire scorpions and the like to get there. Being one of the few that survived and finished the challenge, Severus was taken to Baal, where he was left in a golden sarcophagus and fed chemicals and nutrients to form into a true Astartes.
Severus was noticed by the few Blood Angels that were overseeing the challenge for his compassion, this being the reason that he was placed into training as an Apothecary, before then becoming a Sanguinary Priest after years service, and then finally an apothecary for the Deathwatch after a century or so fighting the enemies of man.

Notable Achievements:
- Recovered 463 Gene-seeds on record from fallen brothers on the battlefield
- Took part in the Third War of Armageddon against the Orks

Class: Sanguinary Priest (Apothecary/Chaplain)

Physical Description: Brother Severus, an average Astartes in terms of build, weight and height. None know what the Adeptus Astartes face actually looks like as he is known to always wear his Diagnostor helmet when in the midst of company and to not follow the no helmet tradition, several rumours follow the mysterious apothecary as to why he never takes of his helmet when with company ranging from paranoia to a severe injury when fighting a Chaos champion of Khorne. Who knows?
Clad in the standard yet necessary and honourable colours of a Deathwatch marine but with a white helmet, backpack and bracers including the Exsanguinator attached to his right bracer, with the Blood Angels emblem on a red shoulder pad on his right shoulder and the silver Deathwatch emblem on his left shoulder pad, the prime helix marks his right leg knee pad and on his chest plate, replacing the usual Imperial Aquila, showing that Severus is indeed an Apothecary.

Personality: WIP

Alright, I'll be closing this off to any more people. If it influences anyone's decision, I'm making an assault marine. As for class clarification, basically whatever role your marine plays in his chapter. Avoid captains, I'll make an npc to lead us

Knowledge is Power. Guard it well. -Imperial axiom.

Name: Rayvius 'Moyses' Skalterion

Chapter: Dark Angels

Equipment:
Scout Carapace Armor/Mark VII Aquila Power Armor
Mk IIIa Godwyn Pattern Bolter
Guardian Bolt Pistol
Frag Grenade x4
Krak Grenade x4
Combat Knife/Chainsword

Biography: Rayvius was born on Aegyptus, a backwater planet that was abandoned by the Imperium during the Africanus Crusade for tactical reasons, primarily due to a warp storm due to hit and isolate the system. As soon as the Imperium abandoned the system, Dark Eldar appeared, enslaving the entire population. Rayvius escaped because a Dark Angels scout took him off the planet as a child, moved by his mother's plaintive pleas for deliverance.
Rayvius was raised as a chapter serf by the Dark Angels and was a full marine by 16, where he promptly joined his battle-brothers in the Africanus Crusade. He never forgot his homeworld, and was haunted by his last moments with his mother. When he was 42, he requested to be sent to Aegyptus to help liberate the planet. The warp storm isolating the system had passed, but the Imperial forces deemed the planet not worth the expense of liberating it. He asked to join a unit of nine other Imperial specialists, agents and assassins. Rayvius' sergeant allowed his request, seeing how Ray's memories of his homeworld distracted him and hoping to excise him of the burden. Rayvius and his team became known on Aegyptus as the Plagues, and after a forty year campaign, managed to sow enough chaos among the Dark Eldar occupiers to allow a liberation force to be validated and force the Dark Eldar off the planet, culminating in a directed orbital bombardment and the assassination of the Archon of the Kabal. The people of Aegyptus immortalized him as the tenth Plague: the Angel of Death, and gave him the honorary name 'Moyses,' which he adopted without reservation.
He went on to serve as a scout and a tactical marine during the remainder of the Africanus Crusade, though with no exceptionally notable heroics. At the close of the Africanus Crusade, he was offered a position in Deathwatch when he was 117, where he has spent the majority of his 90 years as a kill-marine. He was initially assigned to work with one Scout Sergeant Cyrus of the Blood Ravens Chapter, who instilled in him a thirst for knowledge about his enemies, and in his spare time is seen browsing forbidden archives on xenos, searching for new ways to exploit and kill xenos.

Notable Achievements:
Was one of ten Imperial agents (known as the 'Plagues') sent to create a resistance operation on Aegyptus, and after a 40 year campaign of guerrilla warfare and insurrection, successfully assassinated the Archon.

Cleansed the Velcorn system's four inhabitable planets of a Genestealer infestation by himself within a week, accumulating a total kill count of 293 purestrain genestealers, 847 Hybrids of various generations, and two Broodlords.

Physical Description: Short black hair, has a burn scar on his left cheek. Otherwise, your standard Astartes.

Class: Scout/Tactical Marine

Personality: Rayvius is a loner, a trait cultivated during his time on Aegyptus and as a Kill-Marine of the Deathwatch. As he has spent half his life away from other Astartes, he is experienced in non-Astartes interaction, and is much more personable to non-Astartes than most Astartes are. He is quite knowledgeable on xenos, and can speak ork, eldar and tau, as well as High Gothic. He has a healthy thirst for knowledge. His century tenure to Deathwatch is coming to a close, but he has reservations returning to a chapter he has had little connection to. He has contemplated becoming a Blackshield, but feels that he should only take that option if he cannot connect to his old Chapter.

Rayvius can either be a tactical or a scout marine, so I included both options on his equipment and class. Please don't let my choices affect yours.

See I want to make a Techmarine, but I can't because I don't know if I can really techmarine in a kill team. But if the OP isn't fine with that I'll go Librarian. (It's really your call OP)
