Mhm, Clockface hasn't made it clear where we're starting or how long we've been training for as of late. He also hasn't accepted any Character sheets yet...Generally not a good sign. :< I hope everything's alright.

I'm around, just working slowly. Lots of stuff going on, and I apparently have something happening over the next two weeks. Looks like I chose a terrible time to start this. Gonna look over more of the character sheets tonight though, and hopefully have stuff ready for you guys (while giving some important info to a friend of mine who joined this RP) and I can possibly drop in later?

As for the characters knowing each other and starting situations, it's required for the villains to all be together (as a group, I mean. They can physically start in other places) because they're building their dungeon. I can think of a number of scenarios for the villains, possibly some of them are on a mission to recruit some group of 'evil' creatures or trying to acquire more resources for their dungeon or otherwise working on villainous things

I meant for the groups to be both be together, but I could see multiple groups of heroes working separately, but still aware of each other.

One thing to keep in mind is that your parents all knew each other. I'm not sure if I made it totally clear, but they all knew each other at least by reputation and they fought together in this big epic battle, and that sort of brings the separate sides together.

Never ever start an RP when you're busy - I learnt that the hard way. :< The best way though is to devote maybe an hour or two and just get EVERYTHING done in terms of the RP (accept character sheets, decline some, give them feedback, write the opening IC post in a manner that means the RP isn't dependent on your posts to progress in any way) and then leave it for a bit and work on what you need to do. From personal experience, I tend to find that leaving the RP on the backburner before the IC's arrived means that people lose interest and leave without telling you, making the whole RP flop before it's even started.

But hell, who am I to tell you what to do. It's -a- plan of action but you're an individual and I don't even know what kind of work it is. I just wish you the best of luck and hope you'll be able to pull through the stress.

That makes sense. I'm assuming this is a very stereotypical fantasy setting, a bit like an RPG-style with castles and kingdoms and ogres and trolls etc etc. for the villains to go and start recruiting into an army of minions, and work on constructing the dungeon deep in the bowels of mount hellfire or whatever. Hopefully I'm right in assuming such a thing.

Mhm, that's -one- thing to keep in mind. The parents knew each other. But I see a lot of Character Sheets saying that the only interaction with the parent's friends in terms of backstory is their children hearing about them in stories of their amazing-ness. At most, the heroes might know some of them had kids like them (actually, I think they do know that) but I doubt they met too often, unless they lived close to each other.

Still, we'll find a way around that. We'll bump into each other because we're working for the same goal.

Since the RP seems to be headed in a more 'fantasy' 'caves and farms' sort of setting, I've decided to change my character's picture. It's realistic and doesn't look like she's from some 2014 japanese anime setting. So yeah. Might just be my personal preference, but if there's any problem with that, I can change it back. ~

haha, YES. Another red-headed person in the RP.

(Spoiler: The ENTIRE family of heroes we've got as our characters are red-headed with green eyes. because that's what true badassery looks like.)

I seem to have a thing for red heads. I have three redheads right now. An angel and a fighter. .-.
Both are pretty badass. I'm assuming Jonnie and your character will also fit under the category of complete and under badassery.

Also, white hair and tan skin with yellow eyes is also pretty badass. I dunno why. I just... think they are. Lol.

Name: Jackalyn Walker ('Affectionately' called "the Jackal" by her siblings.)

Concept: The Sulky Telekinetic

Role: Hero

Age: 17

Sex and Orientation: Heterosexual Female

Appearance:

Personality: Ah, Jackalyn Walker. As sour as a lemon and as blunt as a teaspoon, this charming bundle of sarcasm and scathing remarks keeps a thick, cold exterior to strangers and friends alike that is about as easy to break into as caked-on grease in a Mcdonald's fryer from the '80s. She doesn't get mad, like big brother Brooksy; hers is a simmering loathing, a coldness and hatred that permeates the air around her like a terrible odour. Intimidating, aloof and (worst of all) quiet, Jackalyn is obsessively protective over her family and almost constantly wary of anyone and everyone ever.

However, once (if) you manage to push and claw your way into the heart of a person who is very clearly content with what she's got already, and would rather you stuck your face into a blender than become friends with her, you'll find that Jackalyn isn't as bad as she looks. Her family in particular are honoured with the presence of a caring, gentle Jackalyn. Surprisingly, under all of that hatred is a brain; Jackalyn is very intelligent, and likes to teach her younger siblings and older brother about anything and everything that they have to come up against. She's a girl they can turn to for advice, battle-plans or homework help without being shoved away. When it comes to family, Jackalyn's a big softie over them and believes that they're all she ever needs. Aww!

Background:

Skills: Physical strength is a talent passed on to each an every Walker, Jackalyn included. She's also very good at the housework, and generally intelligent. She's also a telekinetic, but doesn't know how to control it. Due to her staff-like weapon, she's also pretty agile and fast since she's had to dodge her own blade more often than her enemies'.

Equipment: Simple leather armour (dark greys, neutral colours) and a curious weapon - a bit like a staff, with a sword blade on one end and a spearhead on the other, made out of an unknown, tough, and lightweight metal. She also carries a kitchen knife on her person, at all times. Always. Usually in the most unpredictable of locations.

Parent:
-Mom: Florence Walker, short tempered and not afraid to give the children a good harsh punishment, however she's not cruel - she's actually loving and caring. (BIG MOMMA FLO)

-Dad: Phareon Walker, (PAPA PHAR) was actually super-strong and an adrenaline junkie. A massive wall of meat, plate and witty one-liners, Phareon looked after his little ones well but didn't step in when Mommy got mad at us.

Inheritance: Books. She got books from both her parents, her physical weapon from her father (a trophy from some far-off land and now extinct tribe of natives) and, most recently, discovered her telekinetic gift from her mommy.

Notes: Jackalyn is called "The Jackal" because she snaps at people who aren't her family, and also because she's a very fast runner.

Jackalyn's hydrophobic, and can't swim.

Name: Derek Walker

Sex and Orientation: Heterosexual Male

Role: Hero

Age: 16

Concept: The Prideful Ranger

Appearance:

Background: Derek was the third child of Phareon and Florence of the Walker family. It wasn't an easy and clean birth, however, because he was stillborn. Phareon, thinking quickly, rushed him to a nearby stream, and from the freezing water's, he came to life. In time, he grew up into a healthy young lad under the care of Brooksy and Jackalyn, and at the young age of eight, taught himself to become a hunter to provide for his siblings as they had provided for him. It was during this time period that his skill with a bow and arrow became known, and as the years progressed, it increased along with other talents such as tracking or foraging.

During one of his hunting trips into the nearby forest, Derek came across a group, more like a nest, of spiders as large as they come. Derek instantly turned around fearful, tripped over a root, and knocked himself out on a rock. Not his finest moment to say the least! When Derek came around, he found himself trapped within a spider's cocoon, ready for dinner. Thankfully, Brooksy and Jackalyn saved him in time, but the experienced has forever scared him. It took him a good few weeks before he could go out and forage food again, but upon seeing and spiders, his courage would falter and he would retreat. Nasty little things...

Derek didn't take Phareon's and Florence's death's well, and like his siblings, grieved. What he didn't expect, however, was the tragedy which unlocked Jackalyn's telekinetic power. While he had always respected his sister, her telekinetic powers did frighten him. Regardless, he put that fear aside and helped her through the difficult period.

Personality: Derek's typically a calm individual with a strong personal moral code which he follows without question, even if it has resulted in numerous bad decisions. Derek's rather good-hearted nature also results in people easily taking advantage of him, because people could use it for their own goals. Regardless, it's something he holds great pride in, another character trait, and doesn't let other people's actions change him for better or for worst. Derek is also a very stubborn individual, refusing to back down from a challenge which also plays upon his prideful nature.

Derek cares greatly about his family and friends, often going through extreme measures to ensure their safety. While Brooksy and Jackalyn aren't as open towards strangers, Derek is, finding great comfort in having reliable friends. For him, it helps repair the damage from his parent's death.

Equipment: Derek's personal inventory consists of a long bow with a quiver which is usually slung over his shoulder, alongside a two-handed sword contained inside a leather scabbard. Derek's clothing, meanwhile, consists of leather with a dark green cloak with a hood, one of which is usually pulled up to conceal his face.

Inheritance: Derek's inheritance was from his father. It's basically a crystal pendant that lights up in the darkest of places and guides the way. It's said to also improve accuracy.

Parent: Florence and Phareon are Derek's beloved parents. Derek's relationship was good with his parents, despite the occasional hiding received for his natural curiosity. Florence was known for her extremely short temper, often being the one who dealt out punishments when required. But she wasn't cruel, oh no. Florence was actually a very loving and caring person. While Phareon didn't get himself involved with punishment, he took great care in looking after his little ones, pushing them to accomplish their goals. Phareon was also the muscular one.

Skills:

Notes: Derek absolutely can't deal with spiders and hates going against magical users, because he doesn't stand a chance. Derek also loves biltong (jerky)!

Name: Rosie Walker

Concept: Some sorta battle-medic thing.

Role: Hero

Age: 14

Sex and Orientation: Heterosexual Female

Appearance:

Personality: Ever since Rosie was little she was happy, I mean like any baby, she cried, but she got over small things easily and was a rather smiley and laugh-y sort of baby. She, to the gratefulness - or annoyance - of her siblings, kept this trait and grew up with ease and, well, happily! Up until the age of a year old she'd had no idea she had any form of powers but after that she had found out about her healing powers and was absorbed in training at an early age, making her rather intellectual.

Background: When Rosie was born she was already overpowered by a four year old, a three year old -and- a two year old. Also being the only child with a two year distance it made her stand out more having a -much- easier to spot youth. At only four years old, she was running around outside with her dolls, seemingly making up a story of flying puppies or something, when she'd tripped over a log and scraped her knee on the floor. As the shock settled in she sat down and cried for a bit, drawing the attention of her older sister, Jackalyn who'd calmed her down then instructed Rosie to hold her hand on it while she was taken inside. Rosie loyally followed this order and took her sisters hand, walking inside with her and when their mum came over to inspect the scrape and Rosie moved her hand, the scrape was gone, leaving areas of clean skin where it'd healed and area's of muddy skin where it wasn't damaged and simply muddy.

From this age onwards Jackalyn trained her with as much knowledge as she could gather from books and common sense though Rosie had to figure most of it out herself. As soon as she managed to do it on command she was considered the "Doctor" of the house, to make it more fun she was given a toy doctor set and whenever someone was hurt Rosie insisted on them playing along, eventually, playing "Doctor" with Rosie made them feel better as well as healed. All this training paired with extensive knowledge anyway as she was educated harder and eventually became naturally intellectual though you wouldn't be able to tell that much! As she grew older she became more interested in fashion and when choosing outfits she would often choose those of bright, pastel like colours, making her look younger than she is. It soon dawned on the Walker family that she -wasn't- born with strength like her Mother or Father and was rather weak and ended up the weakest of the siblings.

She wasn't completely useless on the field however and was able to pick up a lot more defensive skills than offensive. It became apparent she wanted to be with her siblings if they ever get in a fight as she had a bad habit of working herself out until she fell asleep there and then and it was decided she was good enough to be with them but not as a soldier but as a battle-trained medic.

Skills: She has minor strength, inherited from her father. But more curiously she has an ability to heal with some form of magical power sucked from the air. The siblings don't really know how it works. Just that it does. Due to her rather small frame and light-weight she's nimble and quick, bordering what some would call agile.

Equipment: She doesn't have too much equipment, she wears her casual clothes most of the time but for when she's on the field she has a leather dress that she made more "Rosie" esque by adding ruffles And she wears this with a pair of black leather boots and a plain black cardigan and her green top (Shown in appearance)

Parent: Mother - Florence Walker - Short tempered and not afraid to give the children harsh punishments, she's not cruel though, actually rather loving. Flo and Rosie bonded a lot when they had to work closely to figure out her powers.

Father - Phareon Walker - Fondly nicknamed Papa Phar and was super-strong and an adrenaline Junkie. He was really buff he resembled a wall of meat, plate and was famous for witty one-liners. He did look after the children but cleared way when Big Momma Flo was angry.

Inheritance: Rosie's power wasn't with her parents so perhaps deeper in their blood line or some genetic mutation. She -did- though, get a cute Rosie-style Leather tunic and boots that she wore if she ever got in a fight. Although all the siblings were supplied with vast knowledge in a various selection of books. Whether they decided to -achieve- vast knowledge was up to them. And Rosie evidently became an intellect when she was training.

Notes:

This is all I got.
When I draw her I'll have a better idea.
I hope it's good enough!

Name: Brook Walker (Mainly reffered to as "Brooksy" by his siblings)

Concept: The short-tempered Warrior
Role: Hero

Age: 18

Sex and Orientation: Hetero Sexual Male

Personality: Stubborn, ocasionally cocky (Due to his over-confidence brought by his physical prowess over most.), confident, protective, slightly worrisome.

Background:
He'd always aim to act as defiant and braty as possible in his early years, always testing what his parents limit would be. He learnt at an early age to fear his mother more then his father due to the constant scolding and well deserved beatings he'd recieve for the ruckus he'd cause. However throughout the years as their family grew larger and with the constant departure of their parents, him and Jackalyn began taking responsibility over the younger two (Derek & Rosie). Both oldest siblings began playing the role of protectors over them at an early age. He often left the theory crafting to his more intelectual sister.

As much as he respected and strived to be as or even stronger then his father, he tends to resemble his mother more then his father. Atleast on the emotional side. He'd always been a soft boy that seemed to struggle with expressing his many feelings and thoughts with words causing him to often resort to physical violence/settlement, making him a troublesome boy. However the tough loving his mother gave him helped him somewhat retort his behaviour, the few conversations he'd had with his mother caused most of his emotional mannerisms resemble hers.

Skills:

Equipment: A full heavy plate suit, with the little mail amoring around the joints to allow movement. Where as most people would struggle greatly to even take a step in it, he himself moves in it as if he were born in it. Not only having physically trained himself to be able to done the full plated armor, but also mentally. His Weaponry consists of a massive shield that stretches over half his size and all his width, the shield's front would be coated by numerous large spikes as an extra defensive and offensive mechanism. A monstrous steel claymore nearly double the length of his shield strapped across his back in a leather sheath. Dangling down his waist would be a much more easier to reach, yet it's weight and size still requiring most people to use both hands, flagged mace.

Inheritance: His fathers plate armor.
