Good point, that was definitely a jump in Alistar's reasoning.

I can somewhat understand in that you are disgracing the title of Grey Warden by allowing Loghain to join and how this can hurt their image later on. But at the same time that's hardly worth killing Alistair or the warden over. And the Grey Wardens are also known to do whatever is necessary.

In the end though, he is still humans. Humans will make a mistake may they be hardened or not, he won't become mistake proof by being hardened. Personally for that reason I think the best outside is to play as a female human noble, and marry Alistair so you both rule.

I would say that too but even then the female warden who loves alistair may not be able to do similar choices that a male warden who willingly exiled his friend Alistair (stupid bugged game won't let you kill Loghain and keep Alistair unhardened) to gain the throne. The female warden may not have the same problem that a man with the lack of qualms that is my rogue human warden would have in dealing with the situation.

On a similar note let's talk about the dwarves....what do you thinks going to happen once either side gets on the throne late game. One is a tyrant who forces advancement while the other is prejudiced and stuck in the old ways while being 'honorable' about it,

Like I said, no one is immune to error. At least with the warden ruling along-side Alastair though the mistakes can be minimized.

As for the Dwarves, if you mean in Origins they already told you. If Harrowmont is in charge he ends up losing rule eventually cause he wasn't strong enough to keep support for him. If the young noble Belign I think his name was takes over he is rather cruel/brutal but the Kingdom ultimately holds together.

If this is something in regards to Inquisition though I honestly have no idea, I haven't followed news on the most recent game much.

I know but the dwarven conflicts could end up impacting the mage war. Bhelen could end up using the lyrium his dwarves mine to play up sides or his golems could become a heated argument and Harrowmont's lack of rule could end up spelling trouble for the whole of the dwarven nation leading to a fracturement and more surface dwarves appearing.

For sure, I strongly suspect no mater what though the Dwarves being such strangers to magic will end up fighting against the mages.

I'm pretty positive Flemmeth is an Old God herself... I mean, we know that the Old Gods don't start off as Archdemons. It's when the Darkspawn find them and taint them that they become the Archdemons. Maybe Flemmeth found one untainted and found a way to work with it or something... like the demons and spirits.

For some reason I can't find it atm, but I remember some entries in the game about Flemeth and how she made deals with a demon that in someway involved a former lover. But then said lover betrayed her and she went bat shit crazy.

No bat shit crazy is Tobi from Naruto. Flemeth has transcended that and probably knows what she is doing and is doing it not out of a sense of morality but because she wants to or has a bigger reason for it. I can't see her doing something out of a sense of love for a centuries possibly old lover.

Ok, I worded myself poorly there.

She went bat shit crazy at the time.
Obviously in the 100's of years since then she went sane again.

Well yes, but as we know mages can access the fade and before they're woken up the old gods wander around the fade... I'm pretty sure I read that in one of the official wikkis on the DA site. Maybe she stumbled on one? I have no idea but I'm also pretty positive she was the one who told the Grey Wardens how to first become Grey Wardens...

That last bit is speculation.

Perhaps a better question is what is your pre-game for DAI looking like guys? I have a few decision trees I'm considering, but my first playthrough might be with a pre-game that runs my Dalish Elf warden and Rogue Hawke.
