Shift into: Puff Adder - Bitis Arietans. Highly venomous snake and cause of the most deaths in South Africa. Heavily camouflaged and heavy set, they are slow moving but so dangerous to humans as they do not move out of the way when approached. Long fanged, they inject venom deeply and cause swelling, severe pain and hemorrhage. The skin around the bite area will die and fall away, as a side effect of the venom.
Appearance: Yolanda is average in height and slender in build with faint muscle definition. She has short hair that has been slicked back and dyed bleach blonde. Pale skinned. She has dark brown eyes, which in contrast with her skin, appear to be black. The pale skin of her back has been elaborately inked with the solid lines of a tattoo depicting a grotesque scene of demons and the Devil himself.
Personality: Yolanda is a sly woman. Conniving and secretive, it's often difficult to tell what she is about to do. Despite this, however, she is loyal to those she feels are deserving. Once her loyalty has been secured, she is protective and fierce. Yolanda has a tendency to be sarcastic, dryly humorous and cynical but has the capacity to be kind and tender. Able to be extremely persuasive when need be. She has a touch of nihilsm to her.
Other: Yolanda was born and raised in South Africa and as such has a strong South African accent. At a fairly young age, it was discovered that she could shift into a snake. This caused distress for her parents but they were loving people and promised to protect their daughter, despite how different she was. They were able to keep her ability under wraps until, when threatened in her snake form, she bit a local boy and ultimately caused his death. Due to her slow moving form, she was easily tracked by those out for revenge. When a girl was instead found at the end of their trail, accusations of witchcraft and satanic worship were thrown, her tattoo only further proof in the eyes of the furious townspeople.
Her parents, as loving as ever, encouraged her to flee. And flee she did. She skipped town and the country all together, unsure of where she was going but not particularly caring. Yolanda saw her ability as a gift rather than a curse, despite what it has caused. When in her travels she caught wind of others just like her, she set off to find them, hoping to build another home for herself.

If you're not on her good side, you can expect Alex to be insensitive, tactless, and hurtful (sometimes even physically).

As a child she was the sweetest little thing who never gave her adoptive parents problems. In high school she gave them all kinds of hell. Due to her partial feline nature from spring to late autumn she would go in to heat about every two weeks for four to seven days. She slept with just about everyone in town; she preferred bad boys and jocks. In her twenties she moved on to college, she insisted on paying for college herself. Marie, The vulture.
Age 19
Appearance: Wavy, dirty blonde hair which stops at her shoulders. Average height for a girl, wide, inquisitive light brown eyes, and a very slim frame. All in all, rather quite ordinary. It is rather quite rare that Marie is seen without wearing a long skirt and a loose fitting sweater – and she certainly won’t be wearing trousers or shorts.
Vulture: Unlike her innocent, plain and fresh faced human side, the vulture has charcoal grey skin and feathers with pale eyes that already look like they’re dead. The plumage ring around her neck is a frosty white, as are her talons. (Marie often wishes that her animal form was something small and dainty like a blackbird or a sparrow… even though she loves flying, she doesn’t like shifting because the vulture is so ugly.)
Personality: Overly trusting, naïve, and often acts much, much younger than her age. She doesn’t understand sarcasm very well, or subtle cues in behaviour. Can almost never tell when someone is lying, and takes everything at face value without bothering to question hidden motives or agendas. Overall, Marie is pretty much socially disabled.

In fact, Marie didn’t even think it was an abnormal thing to do until she saw her father turn pale white with fear. At which point, he ran into the bathroom, and locked the door behind him. And never came out again. A week flew by, and he didn’t eat. And neither did Marie. And Marie was ever so hungry. After a few more days, figuring that there would be nothing for her in that house anymore, Marie flew out the window on the crack of dawn, leaving on a full stomach in search of something new. A month went by still, bills weren’t paid, and finally authorities of the city broke into Marie’s old house. However, there wasn’t a trace of a human soul in the house. In fact, the only thing that could have been a sign of people being there, was a broken door and a blood stained bathroom floor.

Personality: Titus is quiet and gruff, coming across as anti social and unintelligent. However, he has a strong sense of justice, especially when it comes to protecting the weak, which in his view is almost all women and children, as well as those who are obviously physically unable to defend themselves. He has a problem with women, tending to fall for girls easily and being genuinely heartbroken when he is spurned due to his shyness. He is easily angered, however, and can fly into a rage when provoked. He tends to be attracted to girls he feels he need his protection. Titus loves soft and melodious music, but has a deep hatred for harsh and fast paced music. His demeanor towards others often are reflected by what sort of music they listen to.

He killed the mountain lion and made his home in the woodlands of Alaska, living on his own for 13 years before he was found by humans searching for Bigfoot. He then became a local phenomena and media target, but he hated the hype and the noise of the city so he left, going in search of the group of people he'd heard of who could change into animals like he could.

Name: Darren Kamato

Shift into: Tiger
Appearance: Darren stands at roughly six foot five with a slim, yet muscled build. His hair appears black, though in the right light and if one looks carefully, there are tiny bits of orange and red. His eyes are a deep, sea green color.
Personality: Darren has a rather solitary mindset, he does perfectly well by himself and seems to enjoy time alone. But he does not push others away because of this, though he is somewhat reluctant to really get close to anyone. His trust is a difficult thing to obtain, but it is something one does not loose, even if it is betrayed. Towards those he has decided to trust, Darren is easily the friendliest, happiest fellow to be around, but he does not flirt. He loves a good laugh and loves to roughhouse and the alike, he can be either the best friend or loyal protector depending on the situation. To those he does not trust, though, Darren is a dangerous factor. He is a bit territorial over those he deems friends which can lead him to be overly aggressive and pushy towards strangers, or even those close to him if there is a conflict within the group that goes unresolved. Thankfully though, he rarely gets angry, having learned to control his more aggressive tendencies.
History: At the age of fifteen, Darren ran away from home, mostly for his parents convenience. They had discovered that he could turn into a tiger one evening after he had gotten hurt and became terrified of the 'monster' their son actually was. After leaving home with nothing more than an old cellphone and a few hundred dollars in his wallet, his 'free' lifestyle began. But it was not long after he was on the streets on his own that an elderly woman found him curled up in an ally corner, starving. But unlike his parents, the old woman did not fear him. In fact, she was worried about the young teenager that was far too skinny and beat up. She did not seem to mind the fact that he could turn into a tiger, in fact, she seemed to welcome it.
His life with the old woman was rather pleasant, he was able to walk between being a tiger and a human freely, as the home was large enough for his feline form. And anything he might have needed, the old woman happily bought him. And since her home was so far out in the country with no one else around for miles, he could run around outside as a tiger freely as well. He loved the sense of freedom he got, and since he was able to run around as he pleased, he was quite adept at hunting within his feline form. But all good things come to an end, eventually the old woman became very ill and died. Her grandson eventually arrived at her estate to find Darren in his feline form. And in his panic, having not really dealt with anyone aside from the old woman for nearly four years, he killed the grandson and fled from the home. He has been on the run since.
Other: Darren is not his real name, but it is the one he tells people to call him. Only a rare few know his true name.

From the interest check, we would be gathering right outside the city, where no other humans venture out right? Then try to find a way to survive from there.

Still doesn't say how big the city is. Are we talking New York City size with nearly 8.5 million people or are we talking a city with less than 100,000 people. There is quite a big difference in population range.
