"Mac! I sent off the ones that we felt was the best candidates. I hope that a few of them will accept the terms. The Mother ready to go? And Gus? Is the bus running well?" Professor Gustav or just Doc, spoke as he walked into the large shop.

"Good. They might. Yes, yes and yes. Now we wait. Let's eat." came the gruff response from Mac as he came out of the bus.

Letters arrived in the mail boxes and they read as follows:

Dear Prospective Space Traveler,

You have been chosen to be one of the few who will have this unique opportunity of your life time. You will be allowed 150 pounds of luggage. You will earn $10,000 for a summers worth of work. You can also earn more rewards as you work. Plan on being gone for the summer. Also all food, housing, fuel and other expenses will be furnished.
The date to arrive is June 1. Be at this warehouse- 20205 Country Estates.

Professor 'Doc' Gustov

A student laughed at the letter after opening it.

"I can't believe that the old Doc is still in business! Time travel is not at all possible......... My older brother went through a boring summer with that loony professor."

The student then tossed the letter in the nearest trash can.

George Redman looked at the address in the letter again then at the warehouse. George put the letter into his pocket before for knocking on the warehouse door, "hello is anyone here?" he ask.

Aster Paine reread the letter once again before stuffing it back in her pocket. The promised salary would be more than enough for her tuition, but there was still a tiny bit of skepticism at the time travel that was to be done. It wasn't possible, but if humouring a crazy doctor's delusions meant easy cash, then she was in. She arrived at the warehouse and saw that there was another person there already. "Hey," was what she offered as a greeting. "No one's answering?"

Jude had been reading the letter on the way there, he walked straight into the door, it opened as he fell forward. He saw two shapes as he fell and shouted "Hello!"

Doc and Mac finally came out of the office to greet the arrivals.

Mac was a quiet guy and always let Doc do the talking.

"Welcome to the Hidden Laboratory. I am Professor Gustov but you may call me Doc. My colleague is Micheal Van Naze. He prefers to be called and will only answer to Mac. Now that you know who we are, we would like to know who you are. Then we shall talk about our experiment. Who would like to go first?"

Aster nodded towards the men. "Doc. Mac," she greeted respectively. She then looked to her companions. They didn't seem like people you'd usually find around her circle. She sighed. Best get this whole thing started so it'll be over soon. She raised her hand. "What do I have to do?"

Naureen pulled her two suitcases into the warehouse.

"Ahhhh our last crew person. Welcome to you as well. Please tell us your name and then I shall get to the meat of my project." Doc spoke eagerly.

"My name is Naureen Galbreath. I am eager to find out what our exact duties are. " she spoke with curiosity showing.

"Please all of you follow me into the main complex. I'll show you everything and explain what you tasks are. I am sure that you will enjoy the tasks that I have for you." Doc spoke as he hurried into the inner room.

Once everyone was in the room, Mac shut the door which sealed everyone into the inner chamber.

"Please gather around this table---- just leave your suitcases by Mac--- Under this cloth will reveal a special replica of a bus." Doc spoke as he waited for the students to gather around.

George set his backpack and suitcase by Mac before returning to the table. "What is special about the replica?" he asked as walked back to the table.

Naureen followed George's example.

"TAADAA!" Doc exclaimed as he whips off the cloth to reveal



"It's some sort of a bus?" Naureen asked as she looked at the wooden object.

Jude blinked, dropping his shoulder back. "I was expecting something a little more impressive..."

"Just what does this toy bus have to do with this project that we need to help you with?" Naureen asked as she picked up the wooden bus. It was a basic toy bus on wheels that could be pulled by a toddler.

Aster threw her backpack towards Mac as she moved towards the replica. "Is this some kind of joke?"

Doc simply smiled as he spoke.

"Not at all a joke. I have sent out 3 small versions of this bus - only in real working conditions- to prove that a time machine actually can be built. Time travel actually exists! All that is needed a proof from actual humans. That is where you come in.

Each of you will be allowed to keep a certain amount of ...... treasures from where you travel but I need you to bring back certain things as proof of your journey. I have the Mother Bus carefully programed and it will take you places that you never even thought of visiting."

While Doc was talking. Mac opened another door then began to load the belongings into the bus through a special door which weighed the belongings or rejected them. Fortunately the chute accepted all of the belongings. Mac then closed the chute and opened the bus door.
