That crown thing on Suyin's head looks pretty sharp right? She could use that to slice her bonds when the pirates are distracted with fighting the team and intervene just as the pirates looks to have the upper hand.

That way the damsel becomes the hero :D

Oh...I did have them open an attack on the pirates and freeing Ran but you can just have the pirates still defeat them if that's the case.
