Stardate...uh. Damn it! Who gives a flying fuck what the stardate is. It's not like anybody is evergoing to listen to these weekly reports. They are mundane and give absolutely no info that is truly of worth listening to. I think the last time anything interesting was reported was that time that Medical Officer Wallace threw up after having woken up for cryostasis. Man, that was a hoot. And then.. and then he had to go and get a mop and bucket to clean it up so that he could go check out that civilian in the pod six rows down from him. Anyway, computer, what is the stardate?

"Current Stardate is 2064 Captain Marcus Tuderion."

I told you to call me Marcus you stupid bucket of bolts! Oh well, not like you care. They didn't exactly develop you to be user friendly. Hell, they even gave you a boring, monotone voice that my professors use to have when they drawled on with their lectures. Well, at least you provide conversation while everybody else is in cryostasis. It gets quite lonely when one has to fly a giant space ship, well less fly and more so just make sure anything that goes wrong is fixed by the crew. Hell, I don't even get to touch any controls or flip any switches that could do anything awesome. It is kinda creepy every now and then to have to sit here.. all alone in a spaceship.

Anyway, time to get to buisness. The full system analysis ran on day 239 of my rotation shows that there is a leak in the biosphere's carbon dioxide filter. Gonna need to wake up an engineer to fix that other wise too much carbon dioxide will leak out into the system. All seven hundred thousand of our lovely passangers have stable vitals. Brain waves are clear for all but four people, lord knows what is going on with their brains. Computer, provide me with a report on the brain waves of the four affected.

"The four in cryostasis are currently experiencing a period of sleep terrors. It is possible that, should these continue for too long, the passengers could die. I would suggest waking one of the medical officers to take care of them."

*Sigh* Wake up Medical officers Williams and Brass. Have them wake the four passengers and treat them we don't need them dieing. It would look bad on the report if they died. The engines are running clear and no issues have arisen so far so it would seem they will run clear for quite a bit longer than my rotations. We are thirty years from our destination. The asteroid defence system has been mostly succesful though there has been very minor pellets which strike the hull. No serious damage other than dents and scrapes so no need for an engineer.

Closing remarks, the most important part of these reports, everything is going well. A asteroid feild will be coming up in six days. Energy will need to be diverted from the engines to the asteroid defence system. I will enter cryosleep on day 250 at 0100 hours. Make sure to play these closing remarks to the new captain, we don't need him flying in blind. This is Captain Marcus Tuderion of the Exodus closing out.
Alright, alright... try to stay calm. This is Captain Anthony Wallace reporting in. We passed through an asteroid field five days ago. We made it out by the skin of our teeth but that isn't anything special. But, something or someone had followed us at and attacked us as soon as we were out of the field. I have no idea what it was but they struck at the med bay. About sixty percent of the med bay is contact but about ten percent of that sixty percent is freely accesible without the use of a suit.

Luckily, we seem to have lost the attackers after a few hours. I am afraid that they might come back to finish us off if we slow down. I might have to land the ship on the nearest planet so we could make repairs. Yet, I am unsure if any of the nearby planets are habitable. If they are then we are in the green. If not, then we might be in trouble. Let's hope the biology department are capable of finding anything in the logs.*Ping Ping* Oh there they are now.

"Report from biology sir. It seem that the planet, Assirus, contains not only water but also oxygen in its atmosphere. From the reports we have on assirus, it seems it is three times as large as Earth with four moons. Assirus rotates around a two sun system and is only twenty days away. Suggestion would be to land on Assirus despite our lack of knowledge on their fauna and flora. It is believed that their ecosystem might also be capable of holding humanoid races as well as overly large animals quite similar to the ones on Earth."

Thank you Officer Dixon, your report is very much a relief. Seems like Assirus is our destination. I guess it is better to be on an alien planet then to be out in space where we can be attacked by hostiles. Why did this have to happen during my rotation? Why could it not have happened on another captain's rotation who is braver than I am? Sometimes I wish I never took this job! Anyway, computer, set destination to planet Assirus 2V3E in the solar system Salaria 8ZT.

"Destination set. Arrival time will be in twenty-three days sir."

Alright. I need to start waking the medical team so as to prepare for the waking of the passengers. Tehy will be waking earlier than intended but it is better than not waking at all. Prepare all team members for the landing protocol computer. Refocus power to life support, engines and navigations. We don't want to have anybody die because we didn't know what was around us or from lack of oxygen. Assirus, here we come.
Welcome one and all to the Sci-fi survival/adventure known as Assirus 2064. Humanity has begun exploring the universe and the ship, the Exodus is one of the five to have been sent off from Earth in an attempt to colonize far off worlds. Most of the passengers are kept in cryostasis so that they don't die before reaching their destination. The Exodus is piloted by one pilot at the time who keeps a weekly log starting from the time they wake up to the end. Each pilot is awake for two hundred and fifty days before going back in cryostasis. Not many of the people on Exodus are military personnel. In fact, about six hundred out of the 700,000 passengers are military. Thus, I will be limiting the number of people who will have weapons or anything the ordinary colonist would have since, mind you, people don't always have guns with you when they are told they are going to colonize a planet.

Anyway, our story will start on Exodus where it has decided to land and wait for reapirs to be finished. During that time we have as much free time as we want to explore Assirus. I have somethings in plan for this but I am mostly aiming for free form right now. The occasional battle that does happen will be turn based. And thus, as applying with the idea of turn based games, we will indeed have stats. Though stats are currently not finalized, I just want to know what you guys think on them before coming up with anything serious. Anyway, just tell me what you guys think about the idea of a stat based Sci-fi roleplay and we can really get moving.

I must say, that was quite an introduction story. Anyway, you have my interest. On the matter of stats, I do like detailed stat systems, but that's just me.

Quick question, is that the bridge of an X-304 from Stargate in the picture? It looks familiar.

I'm in several other RPs and just started one, but if it doesn't take off I may join. This looks good. I've been trying to start a space colony RP for a while. Maybe this one will work.

Actually, that is apparently the bridge of Promehteus. Anyway, it is nice to know you are interested. In fact it is nice to know that anybody is interested in this idea. All we need is one more person to express interest and we can get rolling.

Thanks. I wrote the intro in my free time after taking my midterms and added a few things when I got home. On the topic of stats, I am currently working on how they work and what each stat does.
